Food City

I shop here for my fruits and vegetables because they come straight from Mexico and they're so much cheaper than Walmart. Also they actually have taste unlike Walmart. I can buy a months worth of food for $40 for myself.

I have been shopping at this Food City for a couple years. It’s always clean and the produce is the best value around. I also like the meat department. Today, I had an issue with buying a frozen turkey as the tags were off all but one, and it was .99 cents and the lead guy, Javier wanted to charge me $2.49 for the turkey that was not tagged. I asked for the manager and Susan came quickly, she listened to me and took care of the situation immediately, apologized, and committed to helping her team members learn from the situation. I appreciated her honesty and felt like I mattered as a customer. She turned this review around because she modeled what she expects from her team.

Not good having customers wait 15-20 minutes to pay for the contents in their carts. AND with only one cashier??? Bummer. 👎👎👎👎👎

Must train cashiers how to transact customers requesting to pay 50/50 at the check-out. Error made charging one customer for the entire bill, instead of the half & half requested. Causing big delay for customers awaiting. Thank-you.

I love coming here to eat at their restaurant in the store. The food is top notch and the prices are amazing.

I am working at the registers, I am cashier. I am here because I want to apologize, our store used close at 11pm, but that was before the pandemic start, now we closing at 10 pm.

Popped in here today to pick up some specialty items. Store is huge, well stocked, well kept, very clean. Prices very reasonable. We did not directly deal with an employee but from what we observed the employees were helpful, friendly and busy. Ample parking. Easy in/out parking.

This market looked so nice. Everything looked fresh and very well displayed. They are looking for help but they were polite and the manager helped us in looking for a soup bone. We found the perfect ham hocks. I wish this market was closer. I live in Green Valley and elderly so do not travel up the road often.

Hidden lunch gem inside of the food city grocery store! Had their Chile con carne plate and was delicious, tastes homemade ! Another favorite we get is the cocido, definitely one of the best in town. Make sure to stop by for some breakfast or lunch and they also have the best selection of aguas frescas ! We’ve been going here for years and it never lets us down!

We always find good products at good prices here, especially meat, sushi, drinks. The frozen foods are a little more pricey than other supermarkets but most everything else is lower priced. Cheeses, produce, all delicious and low priced. Store is always clean and associates are always really friendly and helpful. It's a good place to shop!

I am a very picky person when it comes to Mexican Food, so I must share this place for Mexican guisados and the fried plantains they have here at the deli inside The Food City on Irvington and I-10… Please try their food, I like the way they prepare certain dishes and they always have a variety to chose from.Their Mexican aguas frescas are also delicious, and last but not least the menudo and pozoles look very tasty, haven’t tried those yet but I hear they are also wonderful. I would like to commend a lady who’s always there to take out order her name is Maria, she is simply a delight to talk to. Always very attentive, friendly and so helpful, love her customer service abilities.. Visit when you get a chance, you won’t be disappointed, they know how to cook and season our wonderful traditional dishes magnificently, highly recommend them…If you enjoy the meal you get when you visit don’t stop yourself from letting the manager know how it was!!! I’m often disappointed with many restaurants throughout the city, they charge you so much money for food that sometimes isn’t even edible, think about it, how many times you’ve felt that way… This place is a find you will be glad to hear about!!! If like veggies, then this the store to go to. The veggies are fresh and always a wide selection. We make a lot of soup and always get them at Food City.

This Food City is by far the nicest, cleanest and most amazing Food City ever! I wish all Food City's were kept this nice. It's worth going actually out of the way for us to shop here. We actually past two other Food City's and will come to this one just to shop here. Really what amazes me about this place is the cleanliness and the cleanliness and quality of their shopping carts. If you've ever been to any other store this place will stand out like a high-end Bashas or other more mainstream grocery store. Of course Food City is excellent for their produce prices and selection. This one is phenomenal!

This Food City is straight FIRE NO CAP!!!! #1 thing for me to buy here literally everytime if they got em is the Chicharones! Fresh and good stuff!

I recommend visiting the store in the morning for any produce purchases. Mind that you will encounter employees stocking all the produce throughout the store isles but it gives you the opportunity to shop all the great produce without the large crowds. They have great selection of sweet breads and the isles are always clean and organized.
