Safeway

As a RVier and traveller it's hard sometimes to find water refill station and they have it here.
They also have fresh products from fruits to bakery.

Let me start by saying the employees that I have encountered at this particular Safeway have been really nice and friendly. 5 stars for sure.
Now that's out of the way I have a question. Who thought putting "cheap chicken mondays" on the windows was the best advertisement? Lol. The girlfriend and I wanted to have a picnic at Redondo Beach and stopped here for a picnic meal and saw that on the window. We were like "uh, is it cheap chicken Monday because it's from what didn't sell over the weekend?"
Anyway, we wanted that picnic and took advantage of their cheap chicken Monday and had a great meal on the beach. The second picture I'm posting is the view the girlfriend and I had eating this meal. :)

Just opened around a week ago. Staff are really friendly. Everything was fresh and they had a great selection.

Employees are wonderful and literally just try to make sure that everybody feels safe.
What's a great spot

The 5 star review is only for the employees at this location. I shop here almost pretty much on the exact same day at the almost exact time every week and I look forward to seeing my usual faces! Shawna in produce always offers a beautiful smile, "Raiders Lady" (sorry I don't know your name!) Saying hello when I get my pre-long run bagels. Then my favorite Jeff. When was the last time you had an employee walk up to you when they're not clocked in just to say hello? He's so friendly and welcoming, which at this particular area, is amazing and much appreciated.

I've seen some nuts things happen at this location, don't get me wrong. If it weren't for the employees I'd rate this place a lot lower but they are amazing. Thanks guys, see you next week!

It's always busy I usually shop late and there's a questionable clientele but as long as you mind your own get about your business and get yours and show respect and you're good employees work harder at these stores then pretty much anywhere else I know of in Washington and so they deserve to be treated as hard working heroes that they are.

This Safeway store has come a long way in customer service from 7 years ago.
I'd have to say in the last year it's just been a pleasure to walk in there the employees are more friendly, more helpful.. it's just done a great turn around.
I do not know the assistant manager's name but he's wonderful kind, helpful, and happy! He is one of the first ones I noticed that was just like a breath of fresh air, engaging, looking you in the eyes, talking, asking if you needed help, very refreshing!
Today I had help at the self-checkout from Kym. Although she was very busy, she helped me with the app which I couldn't understand she showed me how to use it, then when I was ready to leave she smiled, said have a good day. I had a very hard day of cleaning a home, my feet hurt I was trying to get home before the rain came pouring down. Her great attitude was comforting!
I also had a question while going by the deli and Carol went out of her way to call and ask if there was an item in the store. She was very professional, kind but yet personable.
She was right in the middle of taking food back to the kitchen but she stopped and helped me I really appreciated it!

One of my favorite Safeway’s. Always has the best asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower and Brussel sprouts! Okay, and their fruit is great too. The produce! Lol

I didn't get his name but the young butcher was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable, friendly and engaged in conversation. What a great experience!

Never had an issue at this location. Staff are friendly and out going. Self check out open till close. My longest wait in line no matter how busy would probably be around 5-7 minutes. They have security on location. They're also very kind and professional. Random notes: If you're looking for the liquor it's at the front of the store. Also someone keeps double parking their gold Lamborghini like they own the place.

This wants somewhat to be a store that has its own vibe it seems to be a luxurious setting yet due to the airport's proximity over the years has definitely become more popular than I've ever seen it with the regular all assortment characters

You have to have that little safe way membership card to survive the pricing at this store. But I'll Safeways are expensive because they make you pay for quality. But delicatessen and hot food area of this particular store in The fringes of Gladstone is absolutely outstanding. They have a good bakery for the most part and the store is not overly ginormous.

Tiffany in bakery is always so helpful in person and on the phone when I call in an order. Thanks Tiffany!! I will place order with you again in the future.

It was a great experience. I went in circles trying to figure out where some products were. I did not see any staff around to help.
I wish they can include the aisle number in the app for the different product to help clients easily locate what they are shopping for.

I love their membership bonus program

06/15/2019: I'm giving Five Stars to the Ladies at the Deli. Yesterday, I had a nice conversation with an African-American lady, wearing glasses. She made an excellent customized sandwich for me, that was delicious. We connected on a deeper level, as we experienced some of the same issues, in life.

06/16/2019: This morning, Penelope made another scrumptious sandwich. She was very conscientious of what I wanted, and displayed great customer service...these ladies are great!

!I used to like this Safeway, but they're starting to treat their customers like criminals. Today, a young lady rang up my items, but charged me for my free loaf of bread. She did not scan my coupon. What she doesn't realize, is I make great use of social media. It gets the job done.

Very friendly staff. Korey (Cashier) helped me out because I was a couple dollars short on my dinner. The police officer at the entrance was very nice as well. Good store.

I'm giving this Safeway 5 stars ONLY because of an employee that works there named Cristal. I'm a huge lover of cherry Dr. Pepper zero. This Safeway only has enough room for 2 cases of that particular kind and there is usually a special like buy 2 get 2 free. Since there are only 2 cases, I usually ask an employee if there are any more cases in the back. They always say no even though they didn't go back to look. Cristal actually took the time to look for me and carried out 2 more cases. I was elated! I know that every store is short handed and I know you probably don't have a ton of space; but could you try to put more than 2 on the floor especially when u are running a buy 2 get 2 free special. Thank you! And thanks again Cristal😁

Cheap chicken Monday has carried me through very poor days. I love Safeway for this. They always nice and do a good job of trying to do a good job there. Sometimes they have questionable skills like how to check if a hundred is fake. It's pretty funny to watch. Anyway they're good eggs. Cheers

I was extremely happy with the service I got from Kym yesterday at the Redondo Square store. My self-checkout items didn't ring up properly (I had installed the sale prices on my app) but Kym apologized and made everything right. I told her about some refrigerated crescent rolls that were outdated (one pkg had actually burst open on the shelf) and she thanked me profusely for letting them know. Her attitude was one of service to the customer and I'm glad Safeway hires employees like her.

Good Customer Service, Checkers are fun and always in a good mood. They go very quickly even during peak hours and holidays. There is rarely lines at this Safeway. Been going here for over 20 years. Good people.
