My name is Ivan and I can confidently, unequivocally say that galaxy games is a true home away from home. I started playing magic the gathering again about two years ago and I went to Galaxy to try and play a couple games for the first time in years thanks to the pandemic. I was extremely scared and nervous because I was new and I clearly wasn’t as experienced and knowledgeable as some of the other players. But when I sat down at a table with some of the regulars I met some of the kindest, well spirited and funny people there. I was actually atrocious at the game however they welcomed my mistakes with open arms. I never have felt so comforted playing a game that I love quite like I have at galaxy. They have the widest array of board games, card games and more nerdy accessories galore. The people and regulars here are some of the best people ever. A major part of galaxy games for me though besides the customers are the staff. Kellen, Steve and Nico are truly fantastic. Plenty of my friends have gone to the store and I’ve never heard anything negative about any of them. They are all so great and I could go on and on however nobody would want to read all of that. So I’ll say this. Wherever you are it is truly an experience more than a game store. The people I’ve met, the games I’ve played, and the stories I have from Galaxy I will remember and cherish forever. Every week I make it not just a habit but a reward to walk the mile and a half from my house to galaxy just for this. So take it from me and just make the trip, trek or commute to Galaxy Games.

They have great magic events like commander nights every Friday, and drafting. They also have other events but I mostly go here for Magic. Pretty good selection of magic cards at fair market prices. Selling singles you get about 65% value of the cards which is standard at most card shops. Both people that work there have been very friendly so far and I've been going l weekly/biweekly for the past 2 months or so. Happy to have found a fun game shop I like near me.

Since my partner introduced me to Magic: The Gathering in August 2023, Galaxy Games has become our go-to spot every Friday and some Sundays. Nestled in Dublin, CA, it's a haven for MTG enthusiasts within a 50-mile radius. Visitors from Sacramento or San Jose often make the trek to experience this mini card sanctuary.

Despite the shop's size and bustling atmosphere, the staff's professionalism and efficiency shine. Some may misinterpret their focus as aloofness, but in reality, they're dedicated to ensuring your card orders are promptly fulfilled—even forgoing meals. During downtime, they reveal their engaging personalities and a wealth of knowledge about the games they offer.

Galaxy Games isn't just an MTG haven; it's a home away from home. Fridays and Sundays are eagerly anticipated hangout sessions for me. Beyond MTG, the shop offers a diverse array of board games, Yu-Gi-Oh/Lorcana/Final Fantasy/Flesh and Blood booster and starter packs. They don't stock video games. Also, a quick call to check inventory is advisable if you're making a trek.

To those with initial reservations, I urge a second visit. Discover the magic of Fridays during commander and draft night. The regulars swear by the shop's greatness, and I wholeheartedly agree—it's a gem with amazing people that make every visit memorable.

Went here with my son to get a MTG starter kit and Galaxy Games had exactly what we needed. Got some really cool dice to play with, too. They seemed to have anything you could need for playing the game, plus they had tons of awesome looking board games. We will definitely be visiting again soon for more card packs and sets. Kell and Steven always take excellent care of us. When I am looking for a MTG card, they have tracked it down for me! They have great card sleeves, the hottest sets, space for game play, and filled with good people. When I have an expensive card to trade in, the store credit is perfect for building my next commander

This place was AMAZING but the only thing that sucked was the wifi. But I played in a tournament and I got a whole bunch cool cards. I highly recommend this place for magic.

The best place to play Magic the Gathering as well as board games. They even have a wall of demo board games to try out in store. The owner is also very knowledgeable and has the cutest little greeter dog!

Galaxy Games is a great place to buy and play Magic the gathering. They have fostered a wonderful community and culture who are extremely friendly and welcoming. As a first time visitor I felt right at home and can't wait to return.

Simply the BEST place to go for a friendly local game store experience. The space is comfortable and well kept, the game selection is excellent, and the owner welcomes all. Its a good way to spend a day.

Friendly, welcoming, and open to new players as well as an experienced competitive set of gamers. The staff is great and really go out of their way to help you, as well as let you be without leaning on you to spend more. Great for role playing, Magic, board games, and a variety of other card games.

I rarely give 5 stars... but theres a sweet dog. I've been coming here on and off for a few years now. Great 3 for $10 mtg standard booster deal and very knowledgable staff. The epitome of a LGS everytime we go in there theres a group of people utilizing the tables. I go for MTG but they have a wide selection of table games and collectables. My wife and I are happy to have this spot in our backyard in a time when shops like this are disappearing.

It's a good, solid MTG and board gaming store. It's definitely more competitive than others; you'll probably face judges or other really good players more than newcomers. There's also a doggo and cool decor, so what more would you want?

My new boyfriend comes to this place to find Magic card and the owner is always very helpful and quick to find the cards he needs. He also has a dog there that can salute which is pretty awesome. The space is very neat and clean and it does not smell like butt.

A great store and the man who runs it is super awesome/very nice! Great stock and answers questions like a champ. Very knowledgeable about board games and tcg. Also has a very cute dog who loves to greet people!

I had the best accidental experience at this store! Due to being listed as a used video game store on Google, I came in looking to trade in used gear for...more used gear. As it turns out, Galaxy Games no longer deals in used electronics. However, the man at the counter (the owner?) was immensely kind and helpful. Not to mention they have the sweetest "guard dog" Mac, who preformed tricks. I am not a Magic the Gathering player (which is now what the store specializes in) however, I highly recommend Galaxy Games to anyone who is. High quality customer service is a rare find, support this local business because they're amazing!

I just had to write a review about an amazing customer experience I had at Galaxy Games.

I work nearby so often times wander in during lunch, browse their MTG singles and usually buy some random ones that catch my eye. They have a decent selection of modern-legacy-EDH singles and a very big selection of Standard MTG singles.

I do draft and/or play legacy there sometimes but the store's schedule isn't a great fit for mine.

Anyway, onto this great experience.

So, I had bought a decent number of legacy cards for a couple decks (D&T, Grixis control) and checked out without thinking about it. I did this as Galaxy is eminently fair in their pricing and *usually* bases prices on TCGmid, which is a great deal! After the fact, I was totaling up the amount in my head and it wasn't quite making sense.

The day after, I went back in and spoke to Kel the owner and worked it out. Part of the issue was MY mistake (accidentally buying a promo version of a card instead of a pack foil) and also the fact that one of the cards was priced using Crystal Commerce mid which happened to differ from TCG mid. Kel graciously did some quick reworking of the deal, did a little card swapping and made it more in line with what I was expecting in terms of price.

Suffice it to say, I was blown away that he was so willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were both satisfied with the deal and that it was fair to us both.

For that, reason I will always keep coming back, buying MTG singles, playing in their events whenever I can, and supporting Kel and the store! And I suggest you do too!

The owner was the nicest guy. It's not often you can feel super comfortable around these shop owners but he was great. Welcoming and inviting, it was great. Be sure to say hi to Mac, the house dog who is extremely friendly and knows lots of tricks!
