I live not too far away from this store. I was pleasantly surprised to see a thank you care package in my mailbox; consisting of cookies from gilbert's provisions! What a great way to say Thank you to your customers! Nice job guys!

The owner was very friendly, personable, and informative. He makes hot sauce! Some from peppers that he grows! Lots of fermented and culinary foods. Worth a visit! Wish I had a picture of his bowl of peppers to post!

Super cute shop with a fantastic assortment of goods to construct a great snack. My husband and I were traveling for OC bike week, and came to Berlin on recommendation. When sitting across the street at toy shop, the stores slogan caught our eye so we ventured over and into this shop. The gentleman inside was super polite and helpful. Above all else, we absolutely recommend the BellaVitano Tennessee Whiskey cheddar cheese - it was spectacular!

I stumbled into this gormet feast of a place a couple of days ago while shopping with my wife. I was drawn in by the fermented foods sign on the window. When I got in I was stunned by the selection of Kimchi, spiced peanuts, spiced bread and butter pickles and some stunning looking Sourdough bread. After buying one of each and eating to my hearts content, I am happy to tell all that this shop is amazing. Product is delicious, fresh and made just right! The owner is very knowledgeable and explains with pride, how his offerings are made. I ate half of the sourbread loaf slightly toasted, and with a nice spread of butter and a tough of salt. It is amazing. The Kimchi is excellent. Firm and flavorful. On my list of places to revisit over and over.
Thanks to the owner for offering such mouth pleasing treasures in a world of super processed food.

Gilbert, my man. Your fermented hot sauces are incredible! The Peach Umami Bomb is going to go on everything whether my wife likes it or not. See you next time!

Went in not really knowing what to get. Helped me pick out an array of cheese and meats. We brought in our own board and it was ready within 2 hours. Absolutely beautiful and spent under $70. 2 of us are eating it but at a family festivity this would work amazing as a dish to bring.
Everything is delicious and I can't wait to order another. Thanks again!

Great variety of artesian foods. A must stop if you’re in the area. Really nice to see EP!C veggies sourced from Lancaster County, & no additives or preservatives in most of their spices and rubs. Friendly service as well. 🙃

All these five star ratings speak volumes! Let me add my 5-star rating to the list! This store is perfect. Exemplary even. I cannot fathom making a single complaint about this place. The owner, Toby, is very passionate about his craft and extremely knowledgeable. The sourdough bread is amazing! I’m always ecstatic to get my hands on some sourdough because it keeps selling out. The fermented veggies are so delicious, and they work wonders for your digestive tract. I’ll make it my life mission to try everything in the store one day!

Lovely experience. Lots of interesting pickled options. Gorgeous cheese selection. The gentleman behind the counter was very kind and so friendly.

Excellent store for packaged meats and cheeses. Owner makes fantastic smoked fish dip, pickles, hot sauces, sour dough bread and other products. Stocks excellent jams and jellies.

Cured and fermented foods. Locavore heaven. The store made duck pate is as good as the best mail order or top notch NYC restaurant. Between this place and Burley Oak Brewery, I may need to become a Berliner.
Second visit tried the Old Bay Bacon. Wow! Best store cured bacon in NY, NJ or DE.

Great little specialty store located on Main St (right next to the best ice cream shop) in Berlin MD. All kinds of creative, specially made foods (duck, quail, sausage, awesome bacon, pickled foods, etc. Toby the owner is great & a handsome addition to Berlin! They sell nice shirts with conservative logo bearing the name, great for the beach & extremely soft & comfortable. If u want something different & great to eat, this is the place to go!!!

Gilbert's provisions is a jewel in the crown of Berlin's beautiful Main street! Even my 3 children quickly found things that they wanted. My youngest found an adorable kids apron that is made locally, he is still in love with it.I picked up some duck ham, old bay bacon, pickled garlic and a small round of goat cheese. Parking is where ever you can find it but that wasn't actually to bad. My only real advice besides "go to Gilbert's!".....is this...also plan more time to check out their Main street....it's packed with adorable shops...you know like Main street America used to be...

We love Tony's fish dip, beer mustard and fermented garlic. A great spot for something different and delicious.

The most extensive variety of cheeses, meats, breads and fermented goods. A must to shop when in Berlin, Maryland. The owners knowledge and personality will have you hooked!

Gilbert's is wonderful. The meats and cheeses are high quality and everything Toby makes himself is out of this world. Highly recommend stopping by his shop.

House fermented goods, cured meats, cheeses and homemade picked veggies. Oh, I forgot, they have the heirloom breads too! Just go. You'll be glad you did.

I bought the duck confit- seriously the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. Really wish I got a few more things to try while I was there. Will be back!

Interesting shop! Bought some Calimansi Marmalade and loving it. Will have to come back for more! This shop is worth seeking out. Unusual items and friendly owner!
