Safeway Pharmacy

I switched to this pharmacy a couple of years ago because Walgreens was so terrible. I never have problems with this one, and in fact they’ve gone above and beyond. Specifically, Amber has helped me out many times with my special needs. She is just delightful. The best thing for me is that they always communicate, especially when there are med shortages. I feel like I’m dealing with a local independent pharmacy and it means a lot when you need medication to survive.

They’ve been great to work with! Never had any issues with getting prescriptions transferred. We were able to take advantage of their gift card promo for transferring Rx’s and filling 5 Rx’s

Friendly and responsive customer service. And Pharmacy staff is very accommodating, helping to facilitate my transfer of Rx from another pharmacy.

You guys are crazy. 5 star service from the phone and in person every single time. Excellent interpersonal care for every patient and they take the time to listen and care. Every single one of them are doing fine work. They work hard and long and fast. Never been more pleased.

Always a great experience. Nice friendly staff. On time. I appreciate their extra care to get it right.

Quick and easy. Most places are affected but drug shortages and this one doesn’t seem to be.

They do a good job as a pharmacy. Problem is employees in the store can be rude and really petty towards customers. Safeway doesn't do what they should about the behaviors.

I really love the pharmacists there, but Arlene the pharmacy tech is so unfriendly and acts put off by every part of her job. Everyone but her provides awesome customer service and efficiency.

Good Rx prices cheaper here, but beware of a dosage change on med, sent in by doctor. So far, every time, they invent an issue and then say, oops, sorry. This time they said my doctor denied a prescription that was just sent into them yesterday by said doctor! Oops, sorry, that was not right, your med will be in today. Last time they flagged me because I was getting a higher dose of an RLS med. Doctor had to send in a note with a second prescription to get them to fill it. Ridiculous! Definitely check your scrip before leaving!

Every time I go here the pharmacist is really rude. I am supposed to receive so many pills they never have them they say a couple days and I get half really the guy is really really rude. They make the mistakes and still it’s my fault. I don’t even get a sorry today he told me to go to another pharmacy. Just RUDE.

Went there twice. Couldn’t get my medication because was stuck in the system. No courtesy call instead they told me to call every day to check! If you want my business then you call me!

They need a lot of work.. worst places to get medications is here and Walgreens!!! Didn't you people go to college and study? It's not hard to communicate etc and work a fax machine. They must hire anyone.. WORST PLACES IN FIRESTONE AND FREDERICK..

First let me start off and say from reading other reviews and just the general demeanor of the employees here, they are not the issue, it’s Safeway as a whole.

They filled my script halfway because they ran out (it was an antibiotic that I can’t skip). They forgot to tell me that after I already made two trips there. They did end up apologizing that they didn’t tell me they ran out and I should have checked before I left. I was told to come back the next day to fill the rest as they had an order coming in. Well the order never came in so I had to transfer it to King Soopers.

You’ll see other reviewers talk about lack of stock of common meds. I’d stay away until corporate Safeway steps up their game.

The poor employees of this pharmacy apparently get no support from store management or Safeway Corp. in general. I'm done after last night, NO pharmacist on duty, two techs (one a trainee) trying to run the place. It takes DAYS to complete a refill because the meds are always "on order", not in stock at the time. Thankfully, R-- is no longer there. An arrogant jerk if there ever was one. Aaron is the only one behind the counter who knows anything, and as of yesterday he was taking a much-needed vacation! My doc called in new scripts on Tuesday, and today, Friday, they are supposed to be ready after 2:00 or so. I spoke to a woman who claims to be the new pharmacy manager who apologized profusely. I wish her the best but I'm moving on.
