I’ve yet to visit a Home Depot that I don’t like and this one is no exception to that. It’s my local Home Depot store and it’s great. There’s never a line to checkout, the staff are wonderful, the store is organized and tidy, etc. I also love using the app in “store mode” to determine where specific items I’m looking for. You search the item and on the app, it will tell you the exact aisle and bay the product is located in and this location keeps everything super organized, so it’s extremely easy to find things that way.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I am soon moving here from Lafayette and you definitely won over a customer

Came here to purchase lumber, and get it cut to fit in the car (something that Lowe's on Claiborne won't do). Pleasant shopping experience!

This home depot stands apart somewhat from the rest in out surrounding area! The staff are always friendly and super helpful! They keep thier location clean and organized! I will always choose this home depot over the others!

Went for a gift card. The lady was very polite and helped me get the right gift card.

I went to Hone Depot Elmwood 5/15/23 to pickup a curbside order. Had an issue with the HD app. A young man that worked there said he would go inside to get someone to assist me. A young lady named Brigette came out smiling and happy to help me. She went inside and 2 minutes later came out with my shade. It wouldn't fit in my car. She mentioned the back seat should lay down. I didn't know how. She did it and put it inside my car and I was happily on my way. She was so pleasant and helpful and smiling through it all, that is why I am writing this review. Thanks you Brigette!!

I recently bought an entire house of flooring and my experience was exceptional. Kevin & Robert in flooring were knowledgeable and so very helpful. Even the delivery guy was punctual and friendly. Everyone went above & beyond!

The cashier was courteous but rushed my checkout.

John from Lumber dept who is still a fairly new employee based on our short convo is an exceptionally amazing human being and went above and beyond to assist me this evening. I appreciate him taking the time to listen, ask, and come up with a solution. Even more important, I really appreciate him treating me as another individual person and not treating me different because of my appearance or not being a contractor or color of my skin. Bravo to John and I hope he gets the store wide recognition he deserves, because customer service is dead in NOLA and John is what customer service used to be.

Use to hate going to this store. Recently I’ve noticed you are hiring older gentlemen of retirement age . My last 3 visits I’ve actually had these gentleman approach me and ask if I needed help finding something. I was flabbergasted! In the past I’d have to find someone and wait until the bull sessions with other employees would have a break , then feel like i was disturbing them to get assistance . These last 3 visits were a true pleasure. Keep up the good work by hiring these older people that actually don’t mind working.

The people that work at this Home Depot are always incredibly helpful!

Perfect place for all your DIY projects

I was here with my husband on Dec 2nd in the afternoon. We've been doing bathroom work at our home and have been to lots of home depots between Metairie and Baton Rouge. This one in Elmwood has the friendliest staff and the MOST staff I've ever seen. I was on "cart duty" and while I was standing there looking pretty ;) I was asked by about 3 or 4 employees if I needed any help with anything and I was greeted by at least 1 or 2 more. Very impressed with this home depot and will do our best to keep returning to this one.

I’ve been going to Home Depot for years and , while I’ve had staff approach me in other cities, it wasn’t all that common in the New Orleans Area stores. Well, something seems to have changed because I had to make 3 trips this weekend and I was approached almost immediately by someone in an orange apron offering help each time. It’s a nice change that I hope sticks around for a while. It also helped the store had exactly what I was looking for.

I was pleasantly surprised that was our first time going to that location. The employees were very friendly and helpful and the store was clean.I will definitely recommend that location.
