Nutrimart - Hillcrest

Idk if I'm going here to grab my supplements or see Joe!!! Either way its a WIN WIN!!! This place has exactly what I need, Joe is super friendly, knowledgeable and has an energy of gold!! To be honest I just like to visit and learn all I can!

I go to Nutrimart for the advice on supplements. I keep coming back because the supplements work. I was looking for a drink to help power my legs on long bike rides. The Hillcrest Nutrimart store is open on Sundays so I ended up there. I wanted to buy 3 different supplements but was recommended SuperCarb bio by Global Formulas. It worked. The last two miles of my 50 mile rides I've been setting personal records (see screen shot). The last couple miles indicates if you are feeding your muscles or not. This tells me that SuperCarb is giving my legs the power they need consistently and without spikes throughout the ride. This is one of the top supplement stores in San Diego.

I love Joe! This place has the best prices, much cheaper than GNC and others for protein powder and creatine. I like asking Joe for his recommendations because he doesn't try to upsell you, especially with things you don't need. I hate walking in to GNC and have them tell me why I need a $75 container of special creatine and pre-workout, even after I told them I don't need it. Joe is a good guy and he won't steer you in the wrong direction.

I’ve been coming here for years. Joe is the absolute best!! I worked as a coach/personal trainer for over decade and now work in the medical field. Joe is the most professional and knowledgeable individual I’ve ever met in any nutrition store. Explain what your goals are and he will be honest and will not “sell” you anything you do not need or will not work. To make things even better, their prices are the lowest you can find. I cannot recommend Joe and Nutrimart enough.

I absolutely love this store as well as the owner, Joe! I was referred to this store for all my nutrition and supplement needs when I first moved to the area and I continue to go here because Joe is so friendly and knowledgeable! Every time I go in and ask about something new, he has all the answers and knows the science, formulation, etc… top notch service every time! I recommend this store to all my friends!

Walked in 2 minutes before closing but Joe couldn't have been nice - helped me find everything. I got what I needed for my nephew to help him get off the synthetic anxiety meds the dr. gave him and get onto good brain food meds [w/doctor supervision], ... so helpful, thank you!

Nutrimart has 9 locations all over San Diego county. The 5th and 7th ave are my favorite locations. Joe runs the 5th and Egan runs the 7th ave location. They're both very knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help their customers. they carry all different brands of protein powders, pre workouts, BCAA's, vitamins , minerals , fish oils and energy drinks at great prices. What I specifically like about them since they are all very knowledgeable they will guide you to the exact supplement for your special need, For example if you weigh 140 pounds and you are Taking a pre Workout with 350 mg of caffeine it might be too much for you especially if you work out late, so you can sleep and recover. And I notice I see a lot of the same customers, their loyalty is truly amazing. I have been going there for years and will continue to do so and urge everyone else to visit them if they want to save money and use healthy products . Thx Again Egan and Joe !!!
