Heart Mercantile

Went to this store after dining at the Corner Kitchen just down the street. Had a really good vibe to it, with several of the items on sale eliciting a good chuckle from me. Their store logo is also one of the coolest I have ever seen. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're exploring the Oregon District!

Excellent place for gifts! I went in not knowing anythung about this place and its got something for everyone! stickers, jewerly, tshirts, socks, novelty items, i mean TONS of nic nacks. literally the perfect place for a last minute gift

This shop is a lot of fun. We've never seen anything like it. Lots of rad gems. Found some things as gifts, some for myself, and lots of fun novelties bringing tons of amusement. I wish we could get three of everything! Stay cool!

Let me start this review by asking you a question: are you a sheep or a ram? It’s an easy question to answer. Sheep are those people who go with the flow and don’t challenge a lot of hard issues that may come up in their daily lives. Rams, well they go headfirst. They want to throw themselves out there and make a statement with what they have. Heart Mercantile is a store for made by Rams for Rams.

Heart gives you the tools to be the Ram within your group of friends, work colleagues, and of course your family. Not only am I a Ram after buying and using the products from Heart, but also my dog is now the ram of our block with her “Free Kisses” Bandana (see picture for ram authentication).

I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet though. The products are amazing, but what is even better is the Superhero Staff that work at Heart on a daily basis. I personally Have never had any issues with anyone from there and they have always been extremely helpful with my ram purchases. Anytime we have friends or folks coming in from out of town, Heart Mercantile is listed as one our stops on our Dayton Tour.

So let me ask you that same question again, but in a different format: What do you WANT to be? A Sheep or a Ram and how are you going to become it?

I absolutely LOVE this store! They have a ton of super cute little gift items. It's so hard not to buy everything. They have dainty jewelry, soft shirts, books, funny coffee mugs, and much more. I can't wait to wear my new shirt and for my pup to wear her new bandana to all the upcoming holiday functions!

I’m so in love with what this business does for the community and how hilarious they are on social media that I sometimes forget the shop itself is really super stocked with TONS of great gifts. If you’ve got a friend you’re shopping for with any sense of humor whatsoever, Heart is the place to go. Might as well treat yourself and not cheat yourself while you’re there

Fun place with a variety of quirky local goods. Great place to pick up a memorable gift for friends and family. The staff is very friendly and I love the vibe in the shop.

There are so many clever gifts here to make a loved one laugh.

My sister had a rough day and I wanted to give her a great reason to smile. A coffee mug with Jesus grinning and using a hairdryer was the perfect gift for her, a stylist. I got her some Bob Ross magnets, too, and made her evening!

Their staff, Rachel, was helpful and seemed genuinely happy to help me look around.

This is the third time I bought gifts there, and they are always a hit. Thanks, Heart Mercantile, for those “really good goods” that encourage the awesome women in my life!

Love this shop! I can always find gifts for EVERY person in my life! They are constantly getting new goods in, so I am sure to find something new nearly every time I go in! Plus the store has a great sense of humor! Highly recommend. Nothing better than shopping small in Dayton!

Just recently discovered this store in the darkness that Dayton has gone through. The ladies who run this store have been a light to the community in this rebuilding process. I absolutely love everything in the store and cannot wait to shop there for birthdays, Christmas, and all other occasions. They have something for everybody!

Shop small and support local!

Amazing shop ran by amazing women. This store is full of so many quirky amazing gifts for yourself or the people in your life. The women who own it have done so much for the Dayton area that I can't fit it all in this review. I highly recommend spending all of your money here and supporting this shop. They will have plenty of stuff that you'll want to buy along with witty personalities that will make you laugh. Dayton has Heart! Thank you for all that you do.

Easily my favorite shop in Dayton. The owners are wonderful, hilarious folks that are always giving back to their community. I absolutely adore the constant tongue in cheek attitude, you can tell they have fun and have very few, if any, f*cks to give. They offer all kinds of items - shirts, coffee mugs, note pads, most of them being Dayton focused or cheeky one-liners. We have a number of their items on display at our bar - we’re lucky to have them in Dayton. Highly recommend.

This place is the cutest little shop in the Oregon District. Discovered randomly a few weeks back and decided to make an impromptu visit today to pick up a very special sticker and ended up walking out with a bunch of other little items that I am happy I was able to get there. If you like quirky, offensive, or just current popular culture references, I highly recommend a visit. It is the perfect little shop for unique and hilarious gifts.

One of my favorite places. Hilarious on social media and they carry the best products. Always chill and no overly pushy salespeople, but they're still willing to help should you need it.

Absolutely LOVE Heart Mercantile. Besides being an awesome go to gift shop, they are great for the community. I'm crazy about getting gifts for people that are 1. Unique 2. Meaningful and 3. Have a theme 🤣 I can usually find all of that here. The prices are no worse than anything you would find at any specialty shop, and they usually always have a good little clearance section.

They have all the perfect gift items for every occasion. Edgy and funny, I always find something new and keep coming back. Many great Dayton and Ohio gifts like apparel and locally made crafts. Amazing collection of candles and bath stuff including stuff for men like beard oils and barware. Great location, amazing staff.

I love spending time in this store. It will definitely put you in a good mood seeing all the hilarious items. I also love how much they give back to the community. You can tell they really love and support Dayton.
