Walt's Food Center

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love shopping here. Everyone is very friendly, prices are very reasonable, and they have such a nice variety of products. I would DEFINITELY recommend this store.

I don't live nearby, but find myself in the area a couple times a month. I love shopping here for the 80s vibe, wide aisles and mellow pace.

There's a great hardware store next door, too, so I try to hit them both.

Best meat around. Never any greasy fat in hamburger meat.

Shout out to Amber in the bakery dept in Dyer! She is awesome at what she does and goes over and above what I might ask for!! She has done so many of my cakes and I will continue asking for her! She always seems happy for the ideas I might have! THANKS AMBER!!

I cannot say enough about Walts
I had went to 3 different places before Walts before stopping there I wish I had just went to Walts first. They had the item I was looking for. I will go back for years to come.

This is my spot right here! This is my store! They have the best places! Best employees! So many varieties of things anything you think that they have it everything's always fresh the produce is amazing the fruit is amazing and I love love their staff they are sweethearts thank you Walt for doing everything you can to please people it's a great store anybody who's looking for a store where you get everything and you can save money .if you want the most variety of groceries with very little purses and a wonderful quality this is the spot. Plus even the customers are great we always have conversations it's just a really welcoming atmosphere and very nice.

Walt's is a family store filled with friendly faces. It's refreshing to walk into a store that doesn't remind one of a gymnasium. I find I am able to find most of the items I need from pearled onions, caffeine-free diet Pepsi, to birthday cakes and aspirins; and all without having to walk a zillion miles. Their prices are reasonable, and the variety is on par with bigger food markets. Also, they have a decent bakery, a meat department, and a bank. And in the north corner of the store nearest the registers, they carry items that are just over a dollar; which means I can often times skip the local Dollar Tree. In conclusion, I think it's a great place to shop.

Close to home,clean. Sometimes more expensive than Jewel. Other than that, I'm always greeted, and employees are super nice. Thanks

They've combined their Dollar and Cents store into the main Walt's now for more convenient access!

I have ALWAYS had a great experience here and other Walts I've shopped at. The employees are ALWAYS respectful, friendly and kind. Items that are on sale are always in stock. The store is always clean and well organized and I like that employees float/work the floor so anytime I need assistance someone is available.

Great selection & great staff

First time shopping at this location. It was very quiet but also about an hour prior to closing. Offered the same great options as the South Holland location. Same great customer service and good prices. Will visit again.

Was at the Dyer Walts today and Paul from the meat department helped us alot and has some of the best customer service skills I've seen in a long time. ;)> I will continue to shop there because of his customer service skills

Always friendly, cheerful and I feel like part of the family there whenever I shop there. Nice presentation in the produce section and the stuffed pork chops at the meat counter are just delish!
