I've shopped here for years. The weekly specials are great. The store is well stocked and clean. They carry quite a few things that other stores don't and the layout is really easy to navigate. The quality of the meat is fantastic.

Osco has a great selection of outdoor toys for Spring Break. I bought 2 kites and some bubbles to play with.

I don't go here without checking the app first. You have to check out the weekly deals...clip them first, and then when you enter your phone number at the register, it applies. After so much spent, you can also earn rewards. Those can then be applied to free items, money off your total bill, etc. It's not my go-to for everything on my shopping list, but some deals are definitely worth the trip!

I've been shopping at Jewel for as long as I have lived in Chesterton. Although I am the kind of weirdo who wears my sunglasses inside as to avoid eye contact no matter the time of day or night; I have always noticed that the staff is friendly, and they recognize their long time shoppers and greet them accordingly.

Prices are high if you do not shop the sales but the food is top quality. Employees are awesome especially the deli crew. Close to home and convenient. Wide variety of delicious, fresh fruits and veggies.

Update: I used their pickup option and ap for a large order. It went smooth. I will definitely be using it again! Fast friendly service!

They have a wide variety of produce which is nice. Their prices are fair some stuff is on the higher side but they have really good sales. They're people there are very friendly and helpful. All in all they are a good grocery store

We were delighted with this deli and bakery order from Jewel to take to a birthday party a Indiana State Dunes Campground! We had Croissant Sandwiches, a meat and cheese tray, fried chicken, various salads and the most magnificent chocolate cake with Bavarian filling and white frosting! I has asked online to add teal and silver to the cake if possible to match decorations, and the cake turned out as a beautiful work of art! Thank you, all Jewel staff involved in preparing our order, you did a marvelous job! The food was just perfect! I'm ordering again soon for another birthday.

So, this Jewel is the best! I lived right across the street from one for years and it was pretty nice and all. But this one? Well how very terrific it is. The layout was outstanding. And the employees are truly friendly and helpful. Thumbs way up!👍

Super convenient location. It can get extremely busy, as it's the only Starbucks in town. The only negative thing I have to say is that they don't take order ahead, which is annoying, but otherwise this is a good place to stop.

I wish they could stock faster since I'm sure most of us want to get in and out. Still glad to have Jewel in Chesterton!

We came from Laporte to get some special foods and sales items. Always loved when Jewel was in Michigan City. They have the best deli and bakery items. Very good selection and the store was stocked with everything for Memorial Weekend!

Love the deli and wing Friday special. Love grandpa's potato salad yummm. All of the ladies at the deli counter are amazing. I always go for the Friday wing special. 999 for a bucket of wings, and they fill the bucket up 🥰 I get one of the honey wings and one of the hot wings, honey wings are my favorite! I just have to comment on the cashier that I had she put a lot of canned items in with my potato salad and from the bags clinking around, my potato salad spilled out, I was so upset. I just asked that the cashiers take a little care when packaging your items please 🙂

Store is kept clean and organized, service is good most times and staff is always helpful. Shop sales, and use the app and you can get great deals. If you play monopoly each season it comes around, you now do it all online once you've collected your game pieces from the store, but you get decent coupons and free item coupons with just about every trip so it can be worth the hassle of opening them. I also recommend the Honey Wings from the Chefs Kitchen if you haven't tried them, we buy them by the bucket and it's a family favorite.

Pharmacy is well staffed. That's a rarity at most big name pharmacies. Every employee I came in contact with was super nice and extremely professional. Huge grocery selection. Prices are on the upper end of the scale. It will be interesting to see how that changes once the Aldi across the street is done being built.

Went for the mangos advertised and found many available in the produce which is very clean and organized. It has a large variety of fresh produce . I also love that they are carrying a jewel brand of spring water.

Great deals and clean. It really does make you remember the difference between a grocery store and a department store with groceries in it. It's just nicer.
