Ma N' Pa Grocery

I blew it as usual! The food was so good I forgot to take a picture. The basil pasta pasta was amazing. The fried chicken was flavorful. The restaurant is 3 blocks up from my daughter's house. It's an easy watch and the food is really good. Last time out we had some terrific ribs. They have a full array of food, wine and desserts. Since we were here visiting with our boys, dogs, they were wonderful to chop up the chicken breasts into tiny pieces. One of my favorite places to eat when we are in Long Beach.

I've had their grill veggies, spinach lasagna and stuff potato. All of it was excellent! The store itself is adorable/cozy. It has an inviting nice seating area in the back and in the front. Zack, the owner, is as friendly as can be. I'm new to the area and feel like I found a gem. Who needs to cook when I can go to Ma N Pa's to get a nice home cooked meal :-)

Can’t ask for more from a neighborhood market. Fresh select produce, baked goods (baguette and cookies 5 star), food options. Plenty of drink choices. Tried the fried chicken today and loved it. Sides are great. Looking forward to trying the breakfast burrito and some jerky soon (not together but maybe;). Vibes 5+ stars. Thanks Ma N’ Pa

A friend of mine brought me here. I've never even heard of it but the first thing I thought when I saw it was how cute it was. We went here for a burger but when I saw the groceries, I was very surprised. It's small but cute and organized on the inside. They had all of the best flavors of Ben and Jerry's ice creams and they even had cat food. It's really a tiny little grocery store. I'm an avid reader so when I saw the little book area, I went and asked my friend if it was legit to take a book. She laughed and said yes. I went searching and apparently you can take a book or bring one...or both. I know next time to bring some books that I no longer want to read. Now when it came to the actual burger, i was amazed. It smelled so good, I forgot to take a picture. I had to taste it. It was a cheeseburger and I had pepperjack cheese on mine. The meat was a thick juicy thing of beef. It wasnt very seasoned, but they made up for it with fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and lots of mustard and mayo. I will be coming here again when it's safe to.

Amazing little grocery store with savory and sweet treats. We stopped by on a Sunday just to cross things off of my Yelp bookmarks of places to try in Long Beach. My neighbor ordered a breakfast burrito which she enjoyed. I was just there to tag along as I had already eaten. The cashier let us know about the fried chicken available every Wednesday and Thursday. We returned that same Wednesday for lunch and it did not disappoint. The chicken was extremely flavorful. I also ordered the green bean salad and the mashed potatoes and gravy as my sides. Both were perfectly seasoned and the perfect compliment to my meal. I finished my lunch off with some oatmeal raisin cookies which made me incredibly happy. I will definitely return.

I can only speak for their breakfast burritos but they are delicious. However you need to ask for the salsa bc they don’t just give it to you, and they can feel a little bland without. But the salsa itself is really good so it definitely makes it a 5 star!

Never really been to crowded when I’ve been and nice outdoor seating. Cute little neighborhood spot.

If you ever want to step back in time where life was simple and carefree and wanted a well crafted sandwich or delicious fried chicken with Mac and cheese…this is the place!
It’s old rustic charm and it’s old vintage milk refrigerators, are such a wonderful sight to see, as this place takes one out of the present time and into a place from back then.
The most exciting item that I came across in this little store, was their homemade beef jerky. It was awesome!
I would recommend this place, if you’re ever in town, and need a quick bite to eat.
Grab a sandwich and a coke, and drive down the street to the lagoon / Marina park for a nice little picnic to decompress during lunch or after work.
I encourage the thought to Call ahead of time to see what the special of the day happens to be.

This is definitely one of our city's hidden gems. Ma and pas grocery used to be my daily go to spot back when I went to Wilson high nearby. Their fried chicken is probably the best I've had in long beach. They also have like every flavor of guayaki yerba mate and anywhere that sells this drink is a good spot in my eyes. The sandwiches and bakery are pretty good too.

Best breakfast burritos in Belmont Shore. I was a paperboy in the area 1960 era. Stopped in for snacks. Still do in 2023 and get lunch/dinner. May it live forever 🙏

Great to go options. You can feel the history when you walk in.

A local institution. Pro tip the bathroom and a nice rather large seating area is in the back.

I’ve been going to this charming little gem for a long time now. It’s one of those places where you walk in and they know your name and ask about the family. Renee and Zach are delightful and some of the nicest people you’ll meet.

I don’t know what I’d do without them for my holiday dinners. I ALWAYS have mine catered and they’ve never disappointed. Everything is homemade with love and so delicious. I don’t know how Renee does it but I sure am grateful she does.

Whether you just want a sandwich or you simply don’t feel like cooking dinner or you want to relax with your guests around the holidays they’ve got you covered.

Fantastic food and service! Amazing entrees snd sides prepared fresh daily and there are tables and chairs outside. The night we ate there they offered filet mignon, bbq ribs, chicken, to mention a few. The Clerks couldn’t do enough to help us and took our food outside for us. The Cakes for dessert were great! We even picked up a few groceries that we needed as well! What a great find!!

A MUST STOP whenever I am in the area. Super nice people. Great homemade meals to pick up or eat there at the picnic benches outside. Old school market with an old time drink cooler. AND The Best teriyaki jerkey around - at a great price too!
