i think he's a security guard or a manager, but i was banned forever from this store by a guy that works there for no reason at all, he just told me that I'm banned and told me to leave, and i did absolutely nothing wrong, and I am sure this happens to other people as well, and i used to buy vinyl records here all the time 2 years ago.

Do not shop here! I used to shop here when I was younger and always thought it was a cool place. Unfortunately I brought my two youngest children here just to pick him up some entertainment type gifts for Christmas and I was asked if I wanted to sign up for the FYE backstage pass program. I was told by the system person behind the counter that it would give me money off you sure purchases, pretty much like every Shopper card out there these days. I was recently made aware that the card cost $11 and change every month. I wasn't told there would be any cost. They are intentionally scamming their customers. I looked my situation up online and I am not the only one. The fact is there are a lot of people who were not informed they would be charged, which changes this from a bad employee to an actual scam by the company. I've tried to conta live person who could actually help at customer service multiple times and have still not been able to get my money back or even have my participation in this fraudulent program canceled.

Cashier told me she can give me 10% off if I signed up with the store, but didn’t tell me that there is a monthly fee. She also told me I get 3 “free” magazines with the sign up and I asked her multiple times if the magazines are actually free… she said yes. The next morning, I had a charge on my account from time magazine and when I called the magazine’s customer service, they told me that it was a pre-authorization charge so they can charge me another subscription in addition to the subscription the cashier didn’t tell me about.

Don’t be stupid like me and don’t sign up for anything. Cashier told me I would save 5 dollars by giving a email and phone number . . Turns out her signed me up for some magazine membership . I have to cancel before I get charged. These minimum wage cashiers shouldn’t be scamming customers and just ring us up without asking for all these personal information . Just scan the items and tell me how much I owe.

Don’t even bother with this garbage store. Not shocking they have mostly 1 star reviews. Don’t let them fool you into getting their backstage pass or whatever scam it is. They don’t disclose they’ll start charging your card every month. Stay away from these losers.

Young, blonde, female cashier signed me up for their rewards program but failed to tell me I’d be charged after 30 days with the credit card I used to make my purchase.

Came in with my sister after going to five below, immediately one of the employees started following us around, after a little i told her we should leave because i was beginning to get uncomfortable. as soon as he heard me say this he came over and asked for a hello kitty stuffed animal. he then reached into my sisters shopping bag and pulled it out without asking. she showed him the receipt and he told her that she should announce if she’s coming in with something they sell at the store (they don’t sell that product there) and we’ve also never been in the store before how should we know? it’s very creepy for a middle aged man to follow around two teenage girls.

Wish I give -700 stars. Was asked if I wanted to give my email for 10% off my purchase. Then got asked to give all of my information including my home address. Was told I could pick 3 magazines sent to me for free! How fun! Then a month later, charged $11.99 for a monthly subscription fee by FYE, AND $12.00 from time magazine!!! So frustrating and inconvenient, what if I only had so much left in my account and then I got these surprise charges? They want you to think you’re saving money when in reality you’re being scammed. Now a third party has my card information on file. Never shop here, there are plenty of other stores like this one that don’t force you to sign up for this scam. So disappointing and I will NEVER be back. Shame on you FYE

Such a terrible experience that I would give it no stars if I could.

The products are fine no complaints there. However when I went to check out they hit me with a magazine subscription making it sound like it's free, however when you start to read the details they will eventually charge you automatically. This was in mid December when people are hurrying to get their Christmas shopping done. I suspect they were trying to take advantage of people being in a rush.

They also surprise you with a FYE credit card which they sneakily imply is just a rewards card like when you give them your phone number. Luckily I was able to back out of both of these.

My girlfriend however did not back out of the magazine subscription. She tried to cancel it through the magazine company later. The magazine company said they'd take care of everything, that they'd talk to FYE and her subscription would be canceled.

However, she did eventually have a pending charge for the magazine subscription. She called FYE to get let them know she wanted to cancel the subscription. The FYE representative went over all the benefits of the subscription and said something like "having said all that, we're just going to have you keep it."

My girlfriend is sure the representative was ready to hang up the phone. However she cut him off before he could say goodbye. She told him that he's going to cancel it. He finally agreed. She asked for a confirmation email that it was canceled and he said that FYE doesn't do that. He said he could give her a confirmation number which he proceeded to read off far too quickly to write down. She had to ask him to repeat it slowly which he finally did.

I'll never go to FYE again. Because of these slimy, business practices.

I have been being charged for a subscription. I went to the desk with my sweatshirts purchase the girl said I'd get 10% off if I sign up. I said no thanks - I'll purchase without the discount. She insisted. I said I do not want to get caught up in a monthly subscription that I have to cancel and she said I won't. It's just for 10% off and one month free. But - I am being changed each month!

They asked for my email like every store does but they never said I was being entered in a membership that would be charging me $11.99 / month. Scam. I won't shop there again. Underhanded business practice. That seems to be how they train their employees based on what other people here have experienced.

My sister shopped here today and the cashier asked if she would like to be added to their mailing list to receive future discounts. She did not disclose that this is a subscription that you have to pay for though. She signed her up for 2 subscriptions too. My sister called the store to immediately remove herself from the subscription and was told she has to wait 24 hours. Mind you when this happened at the store the manager was right next to the cashier. Absolutely ridiculous. We will NEVER be shopping here again and will escalate this to corporate.
