Pete's Fresh Market #1 - 57th & Kedzie

I hadn't been to Pete's in years. Came twice this last month and it was great. It's very big and clean with a great selection. It's comparable to Shop-N-Save, Food 4 Less, Tony's, Rio Valley, etc. Great selection of international food!. They have a great variety of everything (produce, Meats, drinks, ice cream, etc.). Amazing deals! I definitely recommend checking it out! Take your time and look through everything. They have 2 parking lots. The main one gets hectic and Crowded because it's the closes to the store.

Small, almost uncomfortably so, but packed with variety. Despite the number of shoppers, this store was clean and organized. Prices are very typical of Pete's, very decent. I cannot remember if they make fresh bread here.

The staff are like family and if you need help don't be afraid to ask. They will definitely direct you to exactly what you are looking for & the Manager I've had the experience with talking is a concern man who has helped my wife and I eat many of nights that we were homeless sleeping in the streets & he didn't Judge us for our situation and even recommend me for a job.

I used to work here and i must say i like it. They are strict when it comes to the employees handling food because everything has to be as fresh as possible. And i love that about this place. I still buy my groceries here and always will.

Had Salmon and asparagus from the deli fresh with a side of Spicey Maki Shrimp Sushi. All items were very good and made a healthy lunch.

I decided to change my original review because my opinion has changed. This store has some good specials as well as items you can't find in other chain groceries. Certain items continue to be pricey, especially most non food items. But overall, it's a good place to shop. They expanded a little, making it easier to find things, which is nice.

Every grocery store should be as clean and be as brightly lit as Pete's. The freshest produce, meats and breads. Great hot bar. A true leader in this division.

I usually hate going shopping after work the long lines, and because the p.m. shift always seems rude!

The workers from there are really polite; and they always try to help you. Cashiers do their job as fast as possible in a good mood. The guys outside of the store are always ready to pick your shopping cart back. As a plus, they have a lot of Mexican products for sale like species, candies, fruit, pepper, and more. You should come to visit it ;)

Beautifully organized, clean store with professional staff. This was my second time going to the 57th & Kedzie Pete's in 3 years. I've got to say it's no comparison to the 47th & Kedzie store. Coodles to 47th & Kedzie Pete's. I will not shop again on 57th & Kedzie.....minimum assistance and non-attentive.

Another fine place to get my groceries from that brings a lot of great quality time with family. Sometimes though the fruits are not fresh and the slices of raw chicken still have chicken 🐔 bones on them which i discover after being cooked.
