Very humble looking gas station store but don't missing going in for a very ethnic Indian experience and if course this is with food!
Especially if you like the South Indian Tamil Nadu snacks and food, besides your typical Indian groceries. The tea is complementary and everything tastes good. Nostalgic almost, when you eat the onion samosa with tea/ sugarcane juice.
Hope they grow bigger!

Always find home atmosphere after entering Indian bazaar. Welcome and smiling face always by owner and staff. Being a new member to Katy, Jo the owner helped us in many aspects.

Grocery, meat, snacks like authentic parotta veg korma, masala vadai are my favorites. Tea is always free & available.
5 stars is my experience here

Enjoyed fresh bisibela bath, chicken biriyani and chilli chicken. Staff and their service was excellent. If you are in Katy you must give them a try and support a small business like this.

Joe and his team - always going the extra mile for his customers. Always finding new ways to expand his offerings. The free chai is brilliant (even though I don't drink tea) and my out of state friends who visited, still talk great about hanging out at the Cafe and enjoying Indian snack items.

So I improved my earlier rating, wonder why. ?
1. EGG PUFFS 🎯
2. COMPLIMENTARY CHAI 👍
3. SAMOSA (s). 👍

I drive out of my way and wait for early 10AM opening, to pick up the order of a DOZEN Egg Puffs(ordered day or two before)...

No qualms about extra driving 'cause I smile every bite 😁

I have been living in the US for a decade, and I've finally found my go-to place for South Indian food—Indian Bazaar & Cafe! There are so many outstanding aspects of this establishment that I can't help but share my delightful experience.

First and foremost, they offer a cup of FREE tea to everyone! After a long day at work, it's incredibly refreshing to be welcomed with a cup of tea while you shop. This empathetic gesture is simply fantastic!

The grocery section is a treasure trove for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. They cater to people from all states in India, providing a wide range of spices, pre-cooked frozen and fresh meals, Indian fruits and vegetables (both fresh and frozen), and products for religious activities. It feels like stepping into a mini India, as they have everything you need.

Now let's talk about the cafe—where healthy, home-cooked-style food meets affordability. I can't recommend their parotta, paneer butter masala, gobi 65, and masala dosas enough; they are my absolute favorites! (My mom’s favorite is Kaara Kuzumbu with her Veg thali) The chefs and workers showcase genuine passion for the food they serve. Moreover, their consideration for customers' religious and cultural values by maintaining separate utensils for vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals during cooking and serving is highly commendable.

Craving some quick snacks? Indian Bazaar & Cafe has you covered. Their freshly made samosas, vadas, gulab jamuns, pakoras, and more are perfect for grab-and-go moments or to munch on while enjoying your complimentary tea.

You mustn't miss their famous fresh chapati packs—10 for just $4! It has become a regular purchase for me and my family. The quality and freshness are unbeatable.

The employees deserve a special mention. They are not only extremely pleasant but also willing to share their knowledge to help customers find the right products. Their friendly assistance adds to the overall positive experience.

Lastly, a big shoutout to the store owner, Jo. With a wonderful personality and a great helping tendency, he has created a space where people connect and enjoy excellent food and high-quality groceries. It's evident that Jo genuinely cares about his customers' satisfaction.

In conclusion, if you're in search of authentic South Indian cuisine and an incredible grocery selection, make sure to visit Indian Bazaar & Cafe. From the complimentary tea to the delightful shopping experience, this place has it all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This is a good Indian store, with a variety of Indian groceries. However, the best part is that they offer a cup of free Indian Chai for every shopper along with a selection of delectable Indian snacks offered throughout the day. Do make it here in the evening to pair your cup of tea with samosa, puff, spring roll, medhu vada, etc.

The owner of the store, Joe, is very helpful and kind. He went out of his way to help my family during a difficult time, and was always available to help. He even personally delivered food to our house one day. The store also sells fresh, delicious home style South Indian food and is well stocked with South Indian essentials.

I was greeted with a smiling face immediately upon entering. I had an extensive list of items I was looking for, many of which are unfamiliar to me. One of the store clerks offered to walk with me throughout the store to help me shop for the items. She also made recommendations for items of a better quality than what I had on my list. She was very patient and had a pleasant disposition. I visited the food area and ordered samosas to go. While waiting, I was even offered samosas to try at no cost to me. My tastebuds exploded. They were more than delicious. After bringing the samosas home, they were a hit, instantly my family wanted more. I placed an order for next day pickup. When I entered the store, they remembered me from before by name and my order was ready on time. This place is a must visit!
