Great grocery store with variety selection of fresh vegetables and fruits. One of the staff helped us with picking some good wine and cheese. She was very helpful. Other staff members were very friendly as well. The store is wheelchair accessible.

I stopped in before work to pick up one of their fabulous tuna salad sandwiches for my noon lunch. Nancy...the sandwich connoisseur on duty made my sandwich on fresh marble rye...with all the fresh condiments. What a treat that was. It's probably the best tuna salad you'll ever have....plus Nancy is such a nice lady who seems to love her job while serving great food.

I'm an infrequent visitor, and I always enjoy shopping here. The store is nicely laid out, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I find most of what I need but can't find in the little village I call home.

Great selection. Also a very impressive bakery section for the size of the store... outdoing that of grocery stores three or four times their size in Sacramento. I think I hit my carb limit for the weekend just walking through. :)

Went there today for the first time. The employees are top notch! Very helpful. I will definitely do my "organic" shopping there, plus...I was so happy to find the FRONTIER Brand of herbs and spices in the self-serve area of store. People's Food Co-op gets five stars from me.

Phenomenal selection. I just went in there for the first time in about 7 years.... the cashier said she liked my makeup. It was very sweet and a great way to keep customers coming back. Didn't have a whole lot of time to look, but I love that they have a way to look at items online!

Great products, great bakery, friendly clerks. Just try it!!!

I’ve shopped and the People’s Food Coop since it moved to downtown La Crosse. I always find new & interesting foods as well as the standards. My favorite section is the wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Wait, no it’s the bulk foods section. Wait, it’s probably the the Asian foods section, or the Mexican food section. Ok, it’s the wine and beer section. The deli, the prepackaged deli foods, the hot bar, the bakery. The personal products. I could go on and on.

I’ve moved from La Crosse but still visit regularly and I shop there every time I’m in town to bring home items I can’t get where I live and to have a scone. I love and miss the coop. 🥭

It's a lot bigger than I thought it was. Produce is a lot better than most stores in the area. I was surprised. Although a little more expensive, overall it's better. They've got a lot more organic varieties than any other stores I've been to in the area.

We have been coming here for quite awhile for the awesome, unique selections and their own fresh deli-made creations. I was especially impressed on my last visit there, with how they handled a situation with a customer refusing to wear a mask. As a customer with someone at home who is at-risk, and also a young baby, I really appreciated this mandate being enforced. It helped me feel safe. I rarely see businesses enforce this, as I know it can sometimes lead to unpleasant confrontation, but it was greatly appreciated! Thank you, People’s Co-op!

Great organic grocery and excellent bakery and deli

Excellent shopping experience. Their produce is excellent and there is a good variety of other products. We shop the bulk section frequently for dried herbs and spices. The deli is fantastic. I could go on and on. Suffice to say that we have been members for 18+ years and I regularly encourage others to become members too.

The new renovations look and feel amazing! So wonderful to see an essential store like this grow and evolve with its people and town over the years. Great selection and prices, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I always look forward to coming here. Here's to many more years of health and growth!

The People's Food Coop is a major go-to for me for quick, fresh salads. They have a variety of salads that change by the day, so unfortunately I can't always find the specific salad I am searching for, but I can almost always find something. I love the premade lettuce salads with their delicious homemade dressings, as well as the deli salads. I love that some deli salads do not contain pasta, but instead are all veggies (with maybe a little cheese and tasty dressings and spice mixes). I do wish they provided at least an estimate of nutrition information, however.

Some favorites are the Red curry tofu salad (and I don't actually care for tofu, usually), the lemony spinach and chickpea, the Israeli Salad, the Greek veggie salad and the Asian greens salad. But it is fun trying new options all the time! The bakery has some gems, too. My favorite is the vegan pecan chocolate chip cookie. So good (and I'm not vegan!Prices are not cheap, but well worth it for the freshness and quick availability.

Went there once, and absolutely adored it! Kind staff, handles Covid-19 protocols VERY well. Wide ranges of foods & items, and there is a beautiful plant/flower section right by the window that is so nice to look at. Very natural selection of foods, healthy and locally grown. Love it there!

I'm here almost every day for lunch since I work downtown. Everything is pretty good and the produce is fantastic. Love the natural products too. It's nice that they care about the products they are selling and actually sell local things regularly.

Literally my only complaint is that I wish that the Salted Caramel cups were made like they used to be... Although it's probably better for me that they don't. 😆 I used to buy them almost daily. I buy one every once in a great while now to see if they've gone back to their previous glory but sadly they never do. It's been at least a couple years now. I sent in a request. I never got a response and nothing changed so I'm sure the person on the receiving end just rolled their eyes.

Excellent customer service and great food! We were visiting Lacrosse and ordered ready-made food from the deli/catering for an event. Everything was really fresh with great ingredients and the presentation was beautiful. The manager and entire staff were really responsive to our requests and very helpful. I wish we had a coop like this in my hometown!

Courteous service, wide selection, clean store. Love the new hot bar!! Fabulous quick nutritious meals, hot and ready to go - eat in or take out! Pop in and grab a coffee and muffin in the morning. Swing back at noon and order a fresh made while you wait sandwich. Then punch out for the day and drop by for easy dinner to go for the whole family. You can't get a healthy diet any more conveniently than that!!
