Marge's On Rose

I take my diners very seriously, and this one blew it out of the water! The gal up front we learned was the owner, and her husband was in the kitchen. Everything was fresh, made to order, and so delicious. Whatever you get, they will not let you walk out hungry. Not only was the food delicious, but the owner was so sweet and hilarious, and everything on the menu was very affordable. Could not recommend this place more, and will definitely be our breakfast spot whenever in the LA Crosse area. (Picture already has some bites eaten because I couldn't help myself!)

Very nice Mom and Pop type restaurant, cozy with a breakfast counter to sit at as well as tables. Food was excellent and had huge portions. Prices were very reasonable and service was very good. We will be back here again on our next trip to La Crosse!

Best place to get an omelette or biscuits and gravy in the area hands down! The decor is outdated, but the service is the best too! I highly recommend coming here!!! Their customer service is amazing as well as their food.

Laurie is a great waitress and makes you feel right at home. They get to know their regulars and take care of you. What more could you from a Ma and Pa restaurant.

Have not been there since 2019. Outside and in has deteriorated. Older folk now are the main setting compared to what it was the last time I was there. Waitress was not so attentive but did just enuf. On the bright side, breakfast was superb.

Quintessential mom and pop hometown cafe. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious. You will leave with enough for dinner too. Prepare to wait a bit if they are busy. Totally worth the wait. Unc's Mess and the Apple Fritter French Toast were stand outs!

Decided to try this place out after hearing lot of people rave about it. Great coffee. The food was excellent. Plenty of seasoning and flavor unlike some of the other breakfast places we have tried in the city. I got the #20 southwest omlette and my fiance got the #19 cheesesteak omlette. A real greasy spoon type diner. Nothing super special about the inside but that's how you know the food is good. We did have to wait a little bit (maybe 20 mins or so) for our food but it was well worth the wait.

It’s hard to find a good place to eat without emptying your wallet. This place has the best prices I’ve seen in probably 2 years! Great tasting food with an even better price!

Waitress was hilarious! The portions of food were huge. Great prices. Sweet treats at front counter too. Highly recommend. Nothing super fancy. Smaller establishment. Plan on waiting a little bit for food. I mean it takes time to cook all the food that will show up on your plate.

This is the place you want to get breakfast/lunch. It’s worth the drive off the freeway. Delicious burgers and sandwiches with great ingredients. Staff are great. Lots of space. Nice big windows and cafe seating area. Thank you.

You have to love when you ask about a certain item and the waitress remembers your group from a year ago, just based on that. Our waitress was telling us she'd been there X number of years. I said considering you're only one year older then that number how is that possible? This place is a hidden gem if a place!

Waitress was great and prompt. Atmosphere is old fashioned and calm and I like it that way. The portion sizes here are incredible compared to anywhere else. I thought my kid was getting a "kid's" pancake. Their pancake was HUGE. No complaints. Omelet was delectable

Good food, huge portions, friendly staff but understaffed, building has seen better days but wouldn’t hesitate to go back if I’m in town again.

Took a while to get our food but it was excellent once we did!! Not a fan of all the flies, but that is hard to stop when the doors are opened constantly!

The food was delicious! Breakfast was the best this side of Wisconsin! Prices are unbelievably great too. The Restaurant was like a welcome come on in feel and felt like moms food. Very pleasant server. She was the only server when we arrived and she had a house full of guest served everyone with a smile. Highly recommended.

Always a fantastic experience. The food is great. I especially like going there for breakfast. Excellent value for the price with very generous portions. Staff is always friendly and helpful, especially Amy! I would eat here anytime because I know that I won't be disappointed. You need to try this place if you haven't yet.

Stopped in for a late lunch and had breakfast. Got enough food for two meals. Very tasty also. Fun servers. Definitely will stop again. Recommend anything on the menu!!

Awesome breakfast and very reasonable prices. Not much to look at from the outside, or the inside for that matter, but really delicious breakfast and terrific service. Coffee was okay.

Excellent home cooked omelette, hash browns, cheeseburger soup and cheese sandwich. We had lunch with a tip for $20.00. I highly recommend Marge’s.

Awesome, classic, greasy-spoon diner. Perfect place to nurse a hangover. Haven't been since I started eating plant-based, but I've eaten here many times. I used to love the chicken-fried steak. Try "unk's mess" if you think have what it takes.

We just had the best lunch at Marge's on Rose!! They have such a great variety on their menu, super satisfying portions (had leftovers to bring home for another meal) and we had the best service!!
