Meat Block

Meat block has been in business since 1909 and is one of the absolute BEST places to purchase fresh meat, seafood, seasonings, and odds and ends! They have such a wide variety and selection of meats, from beef, pork, lamb, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, and crab legs, down to frog legs.. They have the largest variety (that I have seen) of seasoning blends also. They have buns and bread, Mackinac Island fudge, dog n suds root beer, Ice box brand ice cream, locally grown and packaged/canned items for sale, and much, much more! Their prices are absolutely affordable for the quality of their items! It is worth the trip. I love to shop locally and this is my favorite place for delicious cuts of meat! This place comes highly recommended in our community and by my friends and family as well! We have been shopping here for years and hope to continue for many more years to come!

I've been buying steaks here since 1985 for my scuba club annual fall get together. You'll not find better meats anywhere in west michigan.

Great place to get your meat choices from. The prices are fair in my opinion and the quality has always been good. Service for me has been friendly and fast. I enjoy shopping local and am glad to have an option other then manor chains for fresh meat.

Haven't been inside in years. Wow, it has changed so much! What a great little store. They are carrying several local things in addition to their delicious meat selections. This is the kind of store I like to go to when I am visiting a nearby town or city ♥

I walked in door not expecting much. Let's say that changed real quick. The store was clean, the store workers were helpful. The selections of meat and cheeses looked great. I can now tell you the items of Bacon, Ribs and the cheeses I purchased were excellent. I told my daughters and they shared my experience with friends. We will go back.

Love the Meat Block! But everything looks so good it's hard to decide.

I've been purchasing meat and other products from these guys for years now. By far the best meats in town and their staff is always friendly.

This place has a great selection of meats, it's displayed well and easily accessible while walking about the store. The staff is friendly and helpful enough. The rib I got from here was fantastic, partly because of my culinary skills, but mostly because of the meat quality. This shoppe is a new favorite of mine.

Friendly people and the meat is great. Place is always clean. The meat selection is awesome and we are never disappointed when buying steak, burgers and chicken here. There are a ton of sauces and seasonings here as well as different cheeses.

When we lived here about 10 years ago, we would go to the meat block and they always had the best products! I have never bought ribs that compared to the ones there!

Now that we have moved back. I am so happy to have such a great place, with great quality meat and great customer service!! And to see the expansion and so many more things, makes it even better!! And when an owner takes time to help customers and even carries your things out for you, That is when you truly have an owner who cares!!

When our normal meat place ran out of prime rib for Christmas 🎄 I made a call to them and batsbing we were back in business for Christmas dinner. Good cut,very friendly staff good job team

My wife and I love this place. It has a wide variety of good meat cuts, bundles and seafood. The Meat Block is worth a stop for good cuts of meat.

The quality of the meat from the Meat Block is so noticeable! We love everything from there! Their bacon, pork chops, burger...all are superior in quality and taste! And the staff...so helpful and fun to be around!

This place is amazing! The products are fresh, staff is extremely helpful, prices are spot on....I'll never buy meat anywhere else!!
