Brown Jug Spenard & Northern Lights - #262

This is the go to place for spirits of any kind. They have a wide selection of various labels of all kinds, no matter what you're looking for. It's hard to find a place that regularly stocks sake and soju as well, but finding that here is no problem. The staff was nice and the prices are fair. I definitely recommend this place, since you can find a wide variety of choice items and not just mainstream commercial bottles like a lot of other places in Anchorage.

Brown Jug on Spenard and Northernlights is a great liquor store with a huge selection of beers, wines, and hard alcohol wine coolers mixers and a small amount of other products. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I give this BJ location a 5 ✨ review for these good qualities of the business.
Cons are sometimes there or people outside on or near the business property beginning for money or to have someone with an ID or sober to buy alcohol for them, not at all fault of the store, however Brown Jug dose make a reasonable effort to help reduce the amount of the annoyance of beggars.

Vast variety selection of liquors & the wine. The staff is super friendly as long as you don’t have a selfish entitlement complex, which I love. They’re willing to help and look for anything you ask for.

Some people have no patience like the staff that work here. If you’re patient you will have no problems what so ever. They are there to help.

brown jugs are the jam - they have everything you could ever want. most have a growler bar as well but i come for the bomber selection and unending supply of new AK brews to try. huge wine and liquor selection too...
