Walgreens Pharmacy

I recently came back to this Walgreens pharmacy and had a great experience. My prescriptions were filled immediately, and when I picked them up, there was no line and the pharmacy staff were wonderful. The new management is outstanding. My previous experience had been very bad, similar to other reviewers here. That was the past, and I recommend giving this pharmacy a second chance, if it's convenient for you.

The pharmacy team was the most helpful people. my grandma had a bit of a spill and the manager Faith jumped over the counter immediately came over and helped. She even carried my grandmother all the way to the car on her BACK!! I am forever grateful for this team. My grandma is all I have left in the world I don't know what I would do if anything happened to her.

Everyone in this location is friendly and super effective. I get reminders to order my prescriptions as I have Lupus and take many kinds of medication. There often is NO line in the front of the store as well as in the pharmacy. Amrita has always helped me with medication questions. I can call her my pharmacist and Walgreens my pharmacy.

Google maps takes you to the wrong spot, it's there it is around the corner on the other side if the building.

The staff are efficient and polite and the store is clean and well stocked. Havent used the pharmacy yet.

The staff are helpful and courteous.
Lots of groceries and snacks too.

Parking is shared by the strip mall so it’s pretty spacious.

One great customer service could change your mind and invite you back to shop with any store this time at Walgreens. I received from David on the cashier's who assisted me with a positive spirit. it's been a great experience after I was upset by one of the pharmacies at the cvs window inside Walgreens .

The hours are great. The staff is nice although half the time the pharmacy techs or people working the pharmacy register in the back don’t seem very competent. This place really needs a self check out because half the time in there there’s a line of seniors and only one person checking people out. Every time I go in it’s dirty. Their children’s medication section is small and seems commonly out of stock. Again, the people have always been nice so I don’t blame them, but I do blame the management and chain. I’m pulling my prescriptions and shopping elsewhere from now on.

This Walgreens stays open simply because the community has only a few options. They do not care about you (the customer) at all. The workers, especially the pharmacy members are there to collect their paycheck and that is all. No one will call when the order is ready. No one will call when they have a question about your prescription, they will just not fill it and move on. This walgreens is a disgrace

The customer service at this pharmacy is best described as hostile but in an indifferent kinda of way. They tell you to wait ten minutes, the pharmacist leaves for lunch, you come back in ten minutes and they say maybe 3 pm is a better time. Wait I’ll come back Monday. Will I have to wait , no. Come back Monday morning when directed, oh we don’t have the amount you need. We’ll call you when it’s ready. Come back, when called, that’ll be a “thousand dollars “ because your insurance hasn’t approved it yet. I leave call the doctor, that’s not right. Go back the next day get the prescription, ask if you can pick up another med, you can but you’ll have to pay for it because we can’t fill it under insurance until tomorrow morning, said with a sadistic twinkle. Like I said hostilely indifferent.

Today I took a new prescription from my DC doctor to this Walgreens, since the Arlington Walgreens near my work recommended that I go to this one because it was the only pharmacy in the area with the meds in stock. The pharmacist at this McLean Walgreens was completely unhelpful and said he was unwilling to fill the prescription because I lived 9 miles away in DC and wasn’t “local”. Unbelievable. Avoid.

Amara is very helpful, but the female pharmacist is not even moving and gave excuses that computer is not working while Amara came out and immediately helped me fill out the medicine. I don’t know what’s the female pharmacist name, but it’s on Feb 28, at 640pm at McLean Walgreens. Hope the manager does something about it
