Giant Food

Our family loves seafood and over the years we’ve had a lot of good support. On a number of occasions I have been helped by Gail, a cheerful woman with a lot of experience who most recently took the trouble to make one good bag of clams from 2 that she saw had a few that were starting to go bad. Taking the extra time to make sure we were going to be happy with the purchase is so greatly appreciated! Ask her for recommendations and she’ll help you out!

The customer service department is excellent. Whenever, I have an issue and go to customer service, I am greeted with a friendly smile and the issue is resolved quickly. Thank you for being professional and for providing superb customer service.

This is a Gourmet Giant. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It has wine and beer to purchase but not after midnight. Since it is across the street from Total Wine it must compete on its pricing. It has a large variety of foods. It has dedicated rows of international foods as well. Store includes an instore pharmacy and bakery.

Giant Food has been my go-to grocery store for over 4 decades. The Giant where I shop has an in store bakery and is stocked with every kind of food I need. The store is clean, and the produce is high quality.It still is a great place to shop and many self checkout areas and lanes if I have a large item that needs to go on a belt in a lane.

Easily one of the best giants in the nova area. Their hot buffet bar and salad bar is the best i’ve ever been to at a giant store. So many selections. I go there multiple times a week. Does not ever disappoint.

Giant Food in McLean is the best. Large selection, clean, friendly staff. Can’t ask for anything else

Had a great experience with online shopping thanks to manager Ross Cooper who really went out of his way to make sure everything was just right for us. We’re a family of five with two working parents and good staff means a lot to us when it comes to grocery stores. We have so much to get done on the weekend that we tend to shop at the store that makes grocery shopping easy.

Well stocked with enormous quantities and exotic varieties of pretty much everything. Lobsters, aloe leaves, fancy cheese and meats. Watch out though, the clientele is focused and in a hurry.

Love this store. So many friendly employees in every part of the store. Last night one of the long-time employees got my attention to let me know a product had arrived after a long supply-chain shortage. So nice. Just wish it was still open 24 hours. Hope it returns to those hours soon. :)

Giant is always a consumer friendly place to get everything that I need. I mostly use Giant in McClean when we visit family there.

This is my first ever review on here let alone ever. I don’t know if it can do this store justice but I will try!
Top down this Giant grocery store is a godsend for me.
The store and its workers make the store feel comfortable and friendly enough that I don’t feel the need to come in to shop.
Honestly, if I’m ever feeling down I find great enjoyment in coming by and chatting with both the kind, patient, and understanding staff as well as its patrons. They always help to brighten my day.
Having worked at the other grocery store nearby for two years, I can honestly, and without bias say that both the layout and product offering is volumes better. They have an excellent candle selection, which I can’t get enough of, and the fact that they have offerings that are sourced locally and are hard to find.
I’ll close with this, as someone who was recently living out of their car, the Salvation Army tenant represents not only the Salvation Army but also the Giant very well.

Lots of variety. Fresh produce. I really love this store! And the employees are always polite and helpful. I always get my vaccines at the pharmacy. ☺

As far as local Giant's go, this one is the best around. Seriously it makes it difficult to shop at any other Giant in the area. The store is old, and a tad run down, but the staff is great and the selection is immense. They just recently stopped being 24 hours, which is the only detraction I have.

Big place but everything is in order, I was able to find my whole supermarket list.

Giant Food strikes a good balance between cost and quality. It's not a high end grocery store but offers a good selection of items. I've never experienced any problems, and self-check-out is smooth.

I'm at Giant so often that many of the staff feel like friendly neighbors! Sharin always helps me find the items I'm searching for, and she always has a kind or word or two when I see her. Deb, Bob, Bertha and the other cashiers are also very nice and gracious, which can't be easy when you are on your feet all day behind a register!

I like this Giant, as it is McLean, VA, and caters to a wealthy and upscale clientele. The Deli itself actually opens between 6-7am, but will serve you prior if you ask. And the bakery is really well stocked as is the whole store for being in the midst of a pandemic.

This is my favorite Giant Foods in Nova. Has a great selection of gluten-free foods, with a good rotation of sales on them. Has a great soft drink selection and a good frozen section. They also occasionally carry my favorite flavor of Greek yogurt. Being open 24 hours a day 7 days a week sure helps too.

I came to this store with the idea of eating healthy, because I haven't been paying much attention to it lately. Specifically, I was hoping to create a big fat salad with wonderful veggies, and cool toppings, that you would normally find at the salad bar. Fat chance (pardon the pun) Covid of course would make sure anything like that would be shut down and let's face it, it would be too easy for someone with the virus to touch the lettuce or some other vegatable item, because those things are out there in the open, without any type of deal or protection. While walking past the empty salad bar, I noticed sushi out of the corner of my eye. It all looked so delicious, and tempting but as luck would have it I walked further up the isle to the hoot food section. I decided on the prepared touch-of-honey rotisserie style chicken for $6.00. I've purchased this a couple of times, so I knew I couldn't go wrong. I was right! As soon as I got to my car, I opened it up and ripped off a few pieces of chicken breast- and it's delicious!
