McLean Family Restaurant

A classic local diner. Everything you would expect and always great service. Probably one of the oldest family owned places in the area and is super popular with locals. The weekend brunch and breakfasts are always a treat but they also have a diverse menu for any time of the day. Just solid good all around with good portions and decent prices.

The place is beautiful and very clean. Family owned, with so many varieties. Perfect service with bilingual waiters, very kind. The food was delicious, I ordered hot sub steak and cheese. Average price for the place, around $12-$14 pp.

What a friendly, comfy place to have breakfast! The cheese blintzes were wonderful, the coffee was rich but not too strong and frequently refilled, and the service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. Oh, did I mention the delicious cheese blintzes??? Great way to start the day!

Mclean Diner has been a family favorite for many years. Inexpensive. Very fast. Dependable. Consistent. Same friendly servers forever-:) Food is good, and they serve you with lightning speed. Once you go, you will see why the McLean residents from every walk of life keep going year after year.
Many say they could refresh the decor - but regulars really don’t seem to care, as they are always packed! Always!

Losing a customer has always been extremely hard for us at MFR. Losing one of our own is heartbreaking. Our beloved Elisa Bosch passed away on February 24, 2021. Lisa worked for our family for close to 40 years. She pledged her loyalty to the restaurant and for that we are forever grateful. Lisa’s infectious smile and warm inviting personality made her loved by all, both fellow employees and our customers. You will never come across a person more honest and she made the world a better place to live in. I think I speak for us all at McLean Family Restaurant when I say that I am blessed to have known Lisa and an even bigger honor to have called her my friend. We love you Elisa and miss you. ❤

Had the Brfst skillet. It was good. Others had the pancakes. Very good. Parking free and easy. Good reliable place to eat

It's nice to be able to have a real breakfast until 1500 hours every day of the week. Service is quick and friendly. The cherry and blueberry pie is excellent. A very good meal can be had for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a reasonable price.

On my way back to DC, I stopped at this place on a whim. I must say that I made a very wise choice. The breakfast here was very good. They made it exactly how I wanted it and it was not expensive. Very nicely priced as well. Service was OUTSTANDING. Whenever I am in this part of Northern VA outside of DC, I will gladly stop here for some great breakfast food.

The food was excellent, the waiters were amazing and well informed with their menu. The environment was beautiful.

Friendly and food tasted homemade. Went on a Friday morning between Xmas and NYE and it was very busy but fast service. Staff is excellent.

We were in town for business and could have eaten anywhere. The food was great, staff was so friendly. Was a nice home feeling.

This is the best breakfast place to eat at and I'm very picky me and my grandma love coming here every saterday morning and gets this egg and omlet and I get the waffle it's really good over all you should come the food has good flavor and the staff are very nice

Made a good 1st impression on me. Upon entering, all I could see was booths. Evidently, more to restaurant from photos. Our waiter was good. Food was fresh. Place can put out product by the amount of people that patronize. They do offer some Greek items besides American, gyros & souvlakis. Parking can be limiting due to strip mall.

Exactly what you would expect from a local diner. Quick service, good food considering McLean prices. Parking can be limited depending on the time, but there's a big lot for another plaza directly across the street you can use

This was my first time to this restaurant for breakfast. Definitely worth the drive! Coffee was always full and couldn't ask for a better breakfast of two eggs over easy with grits and corned beef hash. Everything was great. I will be back for sure!

MFR has the most relaxing atmosphere, delicious meals and wonderful personnel! We always come back!

Great food and service! We went there last minute with 6 adults and 5 babies and they were so kind and patient with us. The food came out quickly and was delicious and reasonably priced!
