Balducci's Wine & Spirits

High-end gourmet grocers. Everything they make is excellent quality & they often have items no other grocers carry.

I enjoy Balducci's because they have a nice variety of wines you can not easily get at big box stores. If you need that special ingredient for a dish, they usually have it. You can grab a snack and a drink and sit in their Cafe or outdoors on the patio. And mostly I appreciate the pleasant staff who are always willing to help and not make you feel rushed.

While the prices are more expensive than other grocery stores this is a specialty market and for that prepare to spend a little extra. If looking for a weekly grocer, this may not be it. But if looking to cater a party, find a special bottle of wine or get that hard to find ingredient, this is a place to check out.

OMG. I love this store. I wish I had the money to shop there all the time. Food is amazing and the Catering department all have great personality. Can't wait to try this. Coming soon. Xoxo

Expensive quality that you pay for but is oh so enjoyable.

Hidden value for money gem is the pizza. Made fresh in store in a large pizza oven with super high quality ingredients and at only $11 a pie! A quick family sized option for all!

There is also a well stocked cake area (frozen from a New York company) along with a fresh Sandwich bar and sushi station. Salad and hot food counters are for quick takeaways. The is a quality bistro meal bar that has well cooked in house prepared meals that you can choose a mains and then two sides.

Loved looking through the prepared foods and bakery part of the store. They carry a variety of choices for grocery items from staple brands to gourmet small batch things. I can't wait to try handmade pearled couscous I found at the store!

Fantastic place to shop for perfection. Perfection has a cost so the prices are higher but if you want something that is perfect this is where real culinary and foodees shop. There are specialty shops that have better meats and ethnic foodstuffs but you’ll also pay more than here. Need something special or unusual for holidays, you find it here. DCinDC

I want to take off one star simply for it being so expensive, but it is what it is. Similar to a whole foods, it offers overpriced but high quality bakery, meat, ready to eat, and other grocery staples. I come frequently for the soups, sandwiches and hot bar. I use the small container to try to avoid overspending, and typically spend $10-$15 on each lunch there. They have a good selection of cheeses and fancy meat, as well as bakery items for a fun foodie feast with friends who like the finer things. These high prices do seem to support typically good service and quick checkout

A great grocery store! Larger and better variety than the other Balduccis. Their French macarons (delivered from NY) are the best in town. Take away bistro meals I've had have all been fresh and delicious. Small but good florist.

I've been a fan of Balducci's for a very long time. Regardless of the price, the products always seem fresh and I've never seen an expired product in any of their stores. The prepared food is really good. The service has always been top notch.

Most amazing grocery store. They have unusual fruit and vegetables (white asparagus, pink lemons, lady apples, butterscotch pears) meats that are impossible to find (venison, rabbit, mallard duck breast, boar) quality cheese's, assortment of wines. High quality food at reasonable prices.

I live in Washington state, and every time I visit my sister here I stop at Balducci's for some goodies to bring back with me.
Maybe the locals are blase about this place, but it's a gem. You find really good stuff here that you don't find almost anywhere else.

Did the Diner for Four again. This time the buttermilk fired chicken with mashed potatoes and haricots verts and the Caesar salad. Meal items were well packaged and everything was hot and tasted great following the reheat instructions. I recommend separating the croutons from the salad and heating them in the oven for five or ten minutes with the entrée so they crisp up. Balducci's might consider packaging them in a plastic bag so they stay crisp.

Ordered the stuffed pork chop family meal. Outstanding in flavor, packaged well, and generous portions. Stuffing was apples and lite sage. Good value. Highly recommend.

Funand Clean supermarket, lots of options. Expensive, but you choose what you pay for and eat. Love the desserts and roasted pecans. People work hard in this store and they answer questions. Nice catering too.

I love the service and care during this pandemic. The sandwiches are excellent freshly prepared and they are filling grocery orders by emailing a list.i am opting for curbside pick up and Habiba and colleague Harvey in Balduccis Mclean are meticulous in filling the order. I wish to especially commend them at this busy time for them. They call if something in unavailable. CEO of Balduccis please make a note!

One of the things I miss most about living in Alexandria / working in McLean - Balducci's!! I love the selection of grocery items as well as the ready-made food items that are great in a pinch or for a quick lunch.

Expensive, but you don't go to Balducci's looking to save. You'll find stuff here you can't find anywhere else. They have an awesome risotto selection.

The made-to-order sandwiches are rockstar amazing. And may be the only reason why I go to Balduccis. Well, perhaps the cheese counter is another reason.
