Love this place! Great selection, and the staff is really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. You really develop a relationship with them. They get to know what you like and can introduce you to new things!

My wife and I came here last Saturday after visiting a nearby store, and we are so glad that we did! We were greeted at the door and invited to take a tour of the store. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and welcoming. I consider this a unique experience that goes well beyond most places in the area, and we loved it! We were then invited to try some of the wines that were being poured. What a fantastic experience. We will be back again this weekend!

First time visiting Chain Bridge Cellars. We were very impressed with the selection and the knowledgeable staff. Kinley (love the name) was very helpful and nice to talk to. My husband and I look forward to returning and trying the winetastings.

Wow, I’m rarely floored by stores exceeding expectations but this is one of them. I happen to find this local wine shop online. I saved more than 30 dollars on the case of wine that I was about to have shipped from CA, they delivered it for free, and gave me some great recommendations for cheese and craft beer that I also tried that was also great and different than the norm at a good price. Plus Greg was so nice and personable that I feel like I have a personal wine steward. He sent me some personal recommendations tailored to my taste. I would definitely recommend and will be using them again.

The staff is excellent and knowledgeable. They can suggest wine for every budget. They also sell really good olive oil and have a selection of cheese and salami.

Great local shop with attentive and knowledgeable staff. The wine classes are fun and the weekend tastings are a great way to try new wines before purchasing. Those are on hold due to the pandemic right now but I look forward to being able to visit inside the shop again. They have great value wines that are less expensive as well as high-end wines if you are looking for that as well.

This is an absolutely incredible wine shop. My wife and I spent nearly an hour learning and talking with Javier. He has so many great insights and stories about the wines and the winemakers. He makes it very accessible without any pressure. I can’t wait to come back.

The best wine store in McLean! We've been going to Chain Bridge Cellars for years, going back to when it was called Cecile's Wine Cellar. They have a very knowledgeable staff that we trust for recommendations, and they don't try to steer you to expensive selections. They also keep your purchases on file, so if you can't remember the name of a particular wine you liked, they can help refresh your memory. And if they no longer have it in stock, they can help you find something similar. They have also teamed up with local restaurants to do special tasting dinners, an excellent way to discover some new wines, or pairings that you might not think of. Lately, with the COVID-19, we have asked them to deliver. Outstanding service!

They spare no expense helping you select wines to match your needs and taste. We stopped in for a bottle and left with 6, and all have been exactly as describe and great value. We had been fans of "other" stores and now will always go back. In particular Nancy was helpful, energetic, knowledgeable and tired to keep us from buying so much. We will definitely be back and try some of their wine classes. They have value wines and high-end wines with a small selection of good cheese. If you live in or near Mclean, you need to experience this store for yourself

Highly recommend Chain Bridge Cellars. Great wine selection, and even more valuable is the knowledge and friendliness of the employees. We went in to find wines for our wedding, and we were guided to a set of choices that perfectly matched our favorite tastes and which we never would have found on our own.

Chain Bridge has opened up a number of new wines to me, as well as carrying some of my favorites at competitive prices. Their recommendations when I've asked for a wine with particular characteristics have invariably been spot on.

Great wine shop! Carries a good variety of well known, top rated wines, but not afraid to steer you to lesser known, but great alternatives. Very knowledgable staff!

I've been going to Cecile's for a number of years now. I used to have four or five regular wine shops, including Total Wine, but I became tired of bringing home bad bottles. Now, I only use Cecile's and here's why.

Cecile's does regular tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. Some wine shops pour what they are trying to sell. Cecile's will pour what they think is exciting. There are usually four or more wines selected from a theme (i.e. varietal, region, etc) and covering several price points. There is always a value/steal of the week, some $20-30 and usually something a little more high end. It is not uncommon to see a $40+ bottle of wine being poured at a tasting. Cecile's tasting format has allowed me to purchase (almost) exclusively wines that I have tried and have some assurance will be good.

Over the years, Cecile's has learned my palate and is able to steer me towards wine they are confident I will like and away from wines that may not excite me. On occasion, they have special ordered wine that they do not normally carry.

The prices at Cecile's are very reasonable, which is the reason I marked it as inexpensive. They are often on par or within a dollar or two of Total Wine. Wegman's can sometimes throw deals that beat their prices, but the transport and storage can be suspect over there. When Cecile's offers up sales, the prices are unbeatable.

Overall, Cecile's offers up everything I want in a neighborhood wine store. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very good selection (especially considering the size of the store), free tastings of wines I want to drink, excellent meats/cheeses, and constant special wine dinners and other events. My biggest complaint is they are not in Lorton/Springfield. Doesn't seem to stop me from going back though.
