Balducci's Food Lovers Market

I was hunting for italian made 00 flour for pizza. They were one of the few grocery stores that had authentic 00 flour for pizza from Italy made with protein. I needed this flour particularly to make authentic foccacia bread. It was expensive but no matter what grocery store you go to it'll be expensive my guess is because it's imported. The Balducci's customer service was great. Three times I was asked if I needed help. This is a great place to get all kinds of authentic cheeses - the selection was above and beyond. Fun fact this Balducci's is owned by Safeway (or technically Albertson's Co. which owns Safeway as well)

Nice family version of Whole Foods. Salad, Olive & Soup bar (Vichyssoise), prepared foods, Bakery, and such things Gourmet

I enjoy coming to this boutique grocery store. They have the BEST cookies! Every time I get a new client I come here to get them a box of cookies and a bottle of wine. My wife always requests I get a pack of cookies for her as well 😸

Best grocery store chain in Washington DC area. Quality is very high as are the prices. Deli. Bakery. Meat. Seafood. Produce. Wine and beer. All excellent. Limited selection of nonfood grocery items.

The wine selection is excellent and there is a knowledgeable and helpful sommelier.

I went into Balduccis because they show up all the time on my Instacart as a place that will let me make pickup, but not delivery orders. They show up often as a place with high end items I want to try but can't find locally.
Over the weekend I went in, Balduccis is about the same size as a Whole Foods and the aisles remind me a lot of them and maybe Trader Joes. The butcher case has a lot of great looking meat. The refrigerated cheese case has a lot of cheeses in it I had never tried, and the guy behind the counter was knowledgeable and friendly.
There were a number of Christmas displays throughout the store and I was looking for some imported pies and other baked goods so that was nice.
I'm never certain if you could do all of your grocery shopping in a place like this. They have a produce dept, hot food bar, deli, bakery, wine selection and a lot of the aisles you'd expect, but I think I'll probably keep going back for the things I can't get anywhere else. The one I went to is 45 minutes from my house.

I found Maytag blue cheese which I love and doesn't seem to be in any other store in this area. Also some German Brands were available for baking which I've never seen in any other location locally. There were many items on sale so always good to try something if you've never before. The place seems quite popular and there is plenty of parking.

The sushi is fantastic and the pastries are deliciously dangerous... haven't tried hot food, but cold sandwiches are great. You can easily buy much more than you intended to here! Employees have all seemed friendly and helpful

Pro tip- if you don't feel like making dinner, go to the pre-made food and order a "bistro meal". You pick one entree with 2 sides. It will look expensive until you realize they give you enough food for two people (Two pieces of main course, heaping pile of sides. Great food and less expensive than take out.

The best fruit selections and customer service!

Love Balduccis. Always beautiful selections of food. Stopped here on the way to DC to pick up a few items for a lovely picnic at the tidal basin. Did not disappoint.

Small but lovely high end market with lots of specialty items. Service was efficient whenever it was needed. We picked up a number of things that just aren't available at other local shops.

The space can be a little cramped so a wheelchair user might struggle to get around.

Oh how much I've heard about it. However the moment I just got inside it, immediately I went to it's cakery and I pulled 2 of my favorite ones👍🏻😍🥹😋🎂. I wish I live nearby it👆🏻😅.

The catering staff, Habiba, Pamela. Javi are amazing. Since March of this year we have been ordering lunch sandwiches for curbside pick up and grocery items. The staff immediately respond to order placed online, deliver promptly when we arrive for pick up.

I love Balduccis because of the quality of groceries, prepared foods and great customer oriented staff. Balduccis is truly unique in quality compared to other stores.
