Ralphs Fresh Fare

This Ralph's outlet is quite big compared to other stores. One big plus is - they have local bakery inside and also kitchen ...so you can get fresh items all days. Apart from this, fresh fruit, vegetables with organic options available here. Vide varities of dairy products also on the last back side of the store !!

There is Starbucks inside too.

Well I never thought I would be reviewing a grocery store, but it has been nearly two years since I’ve shopped here and I still think about it constantly. First, this Ralphs is CLEAN— like a fresh haircut. Each aisle is so neatly stocked, no random/blank info cards, no half empty boxes, no awkward spaces. Whoever stocks these shelves should get an award.
Second, it has AMENITIES. Of course you got your bakery, deli, hot lunches. But the deli has an expanded menu, there is a large Kosher grocery section, multiple aisles of alcohol and an EAT-IN BAR. Yes, a bar— in the middle of a grocery store. Of course at the front there is a bank, but also dry-cleaning, tailor, and a post office.

Now, I haven’t been in since I was working in SD back in 2019, so I’m not sure how it’s been affected by the pandemic. But I’ve never had a grocery store leave such an impression. If someone is visiting SD, I would put this store on a list of places to visit.

I just had the most wonderful experience ordering a custom cake from the bakery department at this Ralph’s in La Jolla. I wasn’t sure what to expect and I’m so glad I gave it a shot! Michelle, the cake decorator, went above and beyond. I got to pick all of the flavors / fillings / frostings / and colors and I also wanted a baseball theme. They made it look spectacular and very high end at a very low price! They added all of the baseball accessories to my surprise! Great value. It was such a pleasurable experience that I plan on getting all of my custom cakes here in the future. It was the centerpiece of our birthday party! THANK YOU MICHELLE!

Great clean grocery store. The isles are wide so even when it’s busy you can get around pretty easy. The store is always clean and stocked. This is a Kroger company so it has a similar setup if your used to that or Fry’s.

Surface parking can be a little tight at times. There is generally plenty of parking underneath, though.
The store is pretty good, with lots of produce and a good assortment of the usual products, plus several aisles dedicated to kosher items.

Great Grocery, loved the Kosher Selection they literally have all Basic plus kosher products Snacks, Wine, Fresh Pizza, Fresh Rotisserie Chicken, milk, Dairy, Meat Products, Wine, Fresh Sushi, Bread and Challah, Deli to go, you can literally shop for a whole Shabbos or vacation and the best price it’s cheaper than a typical kosher grocery store in New York

Amazing kosher section - even better than LA.

Great selection of a variety of different foods and items, including some plant-based sections for various food categories. I usually find what I'm looking for, unless something is out of stock. The staff are nice and friendly. The pickup process is very smooth and the app is easy to use. The pharmacy is good too. There's regular and self-checkout inside the store. It hasn't been too busy whenever I've gone there. I wish I could have prescriptions from the pharmacy brought to the car when I do pickup for groceries, since otherwise I have to go park somewhere else and then go in, but that's not a big deal. Overall I'm happy with my experience here.

I just always loved going to Ralph’s here. This big store has so many different things and categories, that I almost always find what I’m looking for here. This store has much more selection than other stores around.
I fully recommend this store to anyone really, families, travelers, tourists, students.
I also think that students hang here since the shop is open for a long time.

Best kosher sections out of a non kosher chain supermarkets in north noire California and possibly the Country, we were there in La Jolla for few days and this kosher section with amazing selections of meat dairy and event cooked fresh sushi & meat meals daily from 7am! It saved our trip. Thank you for the best kosher exciting section.
A must to stop by and try if you’re in San Diego Area, staff are super nice and helpful too.

My first time doing curbside in this store. Eileen was AMAZING. Very friendly, she apologized for one item that was out of stock -which I didn’t mind at all because is wasn’t her fault. Really nice area, definitely coming back.

I come here quite a bit and love this store. It is aging me but I remember when it was originally built - I am a 1984 UCSD alumni! Love the remodel as well. This store is so huge and well stocked and well run. Always friendly staff and the wine selection is fantastic. Finally decided to write a review due to my visit last night. Needed a group of ingredients for a recipe and started to do the usual looking down isles for the random things I needed. But while looking for one of them, I must have looked confused, as this nice young man, Hans decided to ask if I needed assistance. Well I did so I asked him where the spices where, he took me there, then grabbed what I needed but needed 2 more random ingredients and he was willing to walk me to each part of the store and point the items out. You just don't get this kind of assistance anymore and I almost try never to ask and interrupt employees. But here was this one amazing and helpful young man who took the time to save me about 15 minutes of random walking around. Thanks for such a great store!

This is *the best* grocery store I’ve ever went to . They have everything you need from every different cuisine possible. They are always accommodating in that way. They have the widest variety of cuisines. Especially for someone who is from a different country, it’s so comforting to know you don’t have to go to multiple places to find food that’s close to your heart. The employees have always been helpful and kind to me. I’ve been shopping with them for 3 years now. My week is complete only after I pick up my groceries and some fresh flowers from their in store flower shop. It’s crowded during evenings and weekends so it’s important to plan ahead to avoid rush hour long lines. One of the reasons I love the store is because they have extended times into the night which might seem weird but it is so convenient for those who want to avoid crowds at all counts.

I thought this was a great little local type grocery store. Nice varieties of foods, drinks and other grocery items. The prices are high, but what you would expect to pay in other areas just like this. The story is clean and nice and the service is friendly. I would rather go here than a huge chain.

Great kosher section

This place is very well laid out and has surprisingly good produce. I love the apples!!! I'm sad they don't have my favorite pickle brand but most places don't and the pickles they do have are 100% acceptable. Overall, it is inexpensive and easy to navigate making I great for college students.

Cheap? No. Will they have what you are looking for? Yes and if your like my family, lots of great stuff you weren't looking for to spend your money on.
