Walmart Supercenter

It's nice to see Walmart reopened. Everything now (as of 20 April, 2023) looks different from the last time I went.

My condolences goes to the ones we lost on the day of the shooting and to the families as well.

David in Electronics night shift was so patient with me insisting me with my phone service. The transfer lasted longer than expected he helped and stayed to assist me past his shift. He has excellent customer service and walked me through the service as the representative had me on the phone for about 30 minutes. Walmart David is a Good employee to your company . Thank you David

I shop here because it's location is convenient for me. They have great prices on a large variety of items. I would not shop here alone after dark. Some employees here seem unhappy and bothered if you ask for help. I love the self check out option at this store. If I go thru a person cashier, I may get a hello, and rarely ever get a thank you.

I'm updating my review from 5 years ago. Leaving my initial review in tact. I'll first say it's sad that it took a tragedy to turn this store into a better workplace and shopping experience. Peace and healing to all the families affected. I'm updating from 3 to 5 stars. I found the reopened store to be clean, stocked, easy to shop, and friendlier than before. The open ceiling, displays, and taller aisles give it a modern look. It also feels much safer to shop at any hour. I did see they have a patrolling police officer in the store along with surveillance cameras everywhere. I still can find all my daily essentials or needs here. The whole front end is primarily self check out now. There's only about 6 regular manned registers. When I checked out at self check out, there was only one register with a cashier open, and there was no one in that line. I prefer the self check out. There's also about 4 self check outs catering to Walmart+ customers. At this time, you can find an eye center, Wood Forrest Bank, and a money center. I hope they will continue to expand to have restaurants such as Subway come to this location. I also like the idea of their "grab and go" area at the front entrance.

Much nicer than the Norfolk big stores. Cleaner also. I choose this place over a closer one off Military. Friendly customers and staff.

Get a Walmart money card best online debt card out there especially if you get government benefits...get paid 4 days early 💯

In and out to pick up 2 items. Environment was light and comfortable in spite of tragedy that occurred at this location. Glad to see healing seemingly taking place. 🥰❤🙌🏿

Fantastic... Was in and out within 10 minutes. Yes they had what I was looking for too. Even found parking close to the entrance which is usually hard to late in the day.

I know I've complained about this Walmart in the past because of the lack of a check out experience, but I will say of all the Garden Centers at Walmart in this area, the Garden Center at Walmart in Western Branch is amazing. The cashier back there is very helpful and friendly. I will admit during the first visit there were two men (Walmart employees) who watched me struggle to load the grill into my SUV. Thankfully, one of the young women teamed up with me to get it done. On my second visit to pick up another grill the cashier made sure to get me help and he was very pleasant.

The assembled grill is such a convenience that I bought one for several people in the family. I did visit other Walmart stores and the process you had to go through to get the grill assembled was way too much. Walmart should do more for those who go above and beyond. Whoever it is that goes the extra mile to assemble these things, a big hat off to you sir and thank you. Your diligence not only allowed me to pick up a few myself but to tell my friends and by the end of the weekend the 7 assembled grills were down to 1.

Much better customer service since they have remodelled. I have a bad ankle and was limping towards the cashier. There was a few people in line so another associate ( the one that supervises the self checkout)asked me if I would like her to do the self check out for me. She was super sweet and very helpful and I wish I had gotten her name.

Upon entering, a couple was discussing why they could not open carry with the local law enforcement. While VA is an open carry state, I presume, WalMart as a private business can prohibit weapons. Why you so scared you need to carry a firearm? SMH!

This Walmart is new and improved. It's very clean, modern, and has great shopping carts. A tragedy occurred here in Nov 2022, and I appreciate that they took the time to remodel, improve, but honor those who passed and the community. I always find what I'm looking for.

I really like the shoe selection, plenty of large sizes, and the new clothing department.

It's amazing to see this store come back together following this tragedy.

The store was fully stocked and employees all over working. I found one to call someone to the sports desk abs someone showed up with in minutes. Very pleasant shopping center

This place is huge and has a lot of everything. Definitely a place to shop at for things you need. Great place, very clean and organized.

The restoration of the new Walmart is amazing and everything on the shelves are full and in place new the place smells great and safety is a must in precautions are taken in every aspect of your shopping experience.

upon entering the store I was met by the greeter and a ploice officer Officer Mathews. I felt very safe, I was able to focus on my shopping and surroundings.
