Southport ABC Store

for you bourbon hunters and whiskey nerds, add this store to your stop list. the best ABC store I’ve visited within VA and NC (and I’ve been to a lot of them). this is the only ABC store in a control state that I’ve seen with a designated wall for store picks including Woodford Double Oaked, Ezra Brooks Cask Strength, Yellowstone, and Stranahan’s. other uncommon bottles that I saw were Smoke Wagon Uncut/Unfiltered, Barrell Vantage, and Hardin’s Creek Colonel Beam. I picked up the Yellowstone 119 proof single barrel store pick and it’s amazing! similar flavor profile to Old Ezra 7 and McKenna 10. highly recommend if you like the Heaven Hill flavor profile. cheers! 🥃

We stopped in to check for spirits we can’t get in our are and found several new things! I was even able to get a bottle of Japanese whiskey that I tasted on a recent trip out West and lived, so that was really special.

The employees were friendly, and helpful. And they had a really good selection of spirits. Definitely the place to go if you are in the Southport area.

The Southport ABC store has a great selection of Bourbon. Probably the best in Brunswick County. The store is well run and the staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. Great place to shop.

Very friendly store associates who seem to genuinely know a lot of their customers. The store is well stocked, well kept / clean, and transactions are smooth and fast. The packing lot is also of a pretty decent size and the parking spaces are on the larger side which I really appreciate when I find myself driving our rather lengthy diesel truck.

Very friendly. Visited in July on our summer vacation and in September on our fall trip. It was more like a neighborhood liquor store than a state-owned ABC store.

Was there during a business outing and have nothing but praise for the staff and the wonderful lady who answered my question, think it may have been Virginia. Great job all!

Virginia is super helpful and has excellent customer service. She always has a smile on her face when I walk in and takes wearing a mask very seriously which is respectable.

Well, first of all, it's the ABC store lol, so obviously, it's a great place! But the employees are super nice and helpful. Very knowledgeable, always giving advice and comparable choices if they are out of something.

Clean and was friendly and very helful

Was looking for a specific bottle of Whiskey, a buddy called to make sure they had it, and sure enough they did. Made the drive down from Leland and was not disappointed! Had a few questions that the staff was quickly able to answer, and everyone was friendly.

Friendly helpful staff. Though they were out of a few items. They were stocked better than other stores during this time of shortages.

Store was remodeled 4.5 years ago. Very clean and organized. Not very big; which means selection suffers. They did not have what we were looking for but the gentlemen working were very friendly and helpful.

The store was very clean the staff was helpful and able to answer my questions about the products I was able to get some more insight on a recipe that I was looking for for certain type of drink the staff was very professional and help me find the product I was looking forward to make the recipe

I'm not much of a drinker but I went with my friend to pick up a few things and the gentleman working there knew EVERYTHING about booze, all the types how they are made the seasonal varieties etc.. very impressed.

Its a liquor store. Its close to my house, it has a huge selection, and they usually have those cool gift sets for all kinds of stuff which make great last minute gifts for people. After all even if they don't drink all that often who doesnt lile a nice glass cup set to go with?

Pretty amazing bourbon, scotch, and whiskey selection for a small store in a small market. I was incredibly impressed by the staff knowledge and helpfulness even though he was in the middle of cleaning up since it was less than 30 minutes from closing.

They are so nice in the abc store always makes me feel welcome when I go in there to see my husband
