Ace Hardware of Pleasant Hill

My daughter was working on a science project. At the last minute, she figured out she needed a plastic tube that was approx 2mm that needed to fit over the outside of another tube and fit inside a different sized tube. Ron, who works at the store, told us they didn't stock the 2mm tubes in the store but we could order online. Unfortunately, we needed the tube that night, and we needed to test it out to see if it fit the other tubes which we brought to the store. He came up with the idea of using a metal tube which was in-stock. It was genius! We tested it and it worked! He then cut the metal tube in the lengths we needed. Ron is a lifesaver! He went above and beyond to think critically on how to help us and problem-solve our need. Thank you Ron!

Helpful and available staff, 90% of what you’d find at a Lowe’s or Home Depot. And try one of the pies near the checkout - they are surprisingly good! 🥧

Nicole helped me figure out how to repair a pressed wood box, which I had broken. She was friendly, polite, knowledgeable. Since she knew right away how to help me, I asked her about some other things at home that I need to fix. She gave me great suggestions

Good invetory selection for most hardware, outdoor/patio/garden, interior/exterior work. Prices are a bit higher than HD and the selection is smaller. A good alternative to HD for most items and little to no wait for checkout. Welcoming staff. Will definitely come again.

I have always had good experiences here. Today, though, was exceptional. Bryne went out of his sway and really took his time to explain how to hang a mirror/coat rack. Its pretty heavy and even heavier with coats. I took his advice and it went perfectly. Thanks for your kindness and advice. Shout out to everyone there. The entire staff are delightful!

Great to have Ace back. The people are super nice, I do miss the old crew as they were very knowledgeable but these guys are doing ok and are learning.

This is a review of the Gopher Hawk purchased at Ace Hardware. After trying what seems like every other way to rid pocket gophers from my yard, I heard about the Gopher Hawk. I purchased one from Ace Hardware and snagged 2 pocket gophers within 3 hours of installation. I just put it in a new area of my yard and I'm sure I will have a third kill before long. As a very frustrated gopher hunter, I highly recommend the Gopher Hawk as the most effective device I have used!

So much better than before. Very well planed out. Of course things are a bit more pricey than the Depot, but if customer service is important and you don't like long lines to stand in. This is the place.

Excellent service! I'd like to mention two of their staff particularly Steve who was so patient to help find me even the tiniest screws I was looking for! This was not the first time I had encountered him and always very helpful!

Mike on the other hand was so persistent ☺ he never gave up until he found the item I was looking for!

My wife came in to this place with no knowledge of nothing for her garden.
She said a young man by the name of israel helped her, he explained that he was still kind of knew and he would do his best, witch he did.
My wife also mentioned how nice and generous spoken he was.
Very hard these days to find that in a store.

Something about hardware stores that I absolutely love. Ever since watching the David Lynch classic Blue Velvet, I was impressed with the knowledge of hardware store staff. This us universal and this place is no exception. The staff is always friendly and always looking to help. From the moment you walk in the door someone is there to direct you. You just cant find this service anywhere else. I avoid the bigger places. Prices are comparable to those bigger places but the service pulls them way ahead.

Friendly neighborhood hardware store. I love the service and knowledge that smaller mom and pop stores have. They're great for things around the house; just wish they had a little more of a broad selection for working tradesmen.

VERY knowledgeable and friendly people working the floor. Always able to get sound suggestions and advice for the various repairs/projects I might be working on.
If they don't have something on their floor, they'll check their other stores. If they find it, they'll do a between store transfer so you don't have to drive to another Bill's location to get
what you want.
They'll also order if they don't have the item you're needing, so you just come back and pick it up or get it mailed to where ever you'd like.
Easy to do a return or swap something out if you bought the wrong size.
I like shopping at Bill's.
They take care of their customers!

Great place to go when looking for parts to repair misc household items. Staff is 10 times more helpful than home depot. There is a lady that works here (hope she's a manager) that really knows her stuff. I use this place as a back up when my regular vendors can't fulfill my needs in a timely fashion. Im a facilities tech III at a near by biotech company.

!I believe in buying "local" when I can. With that said, it's hard to not compare with Amazon or other Big Box retailers to make sure you are getting a good deal. I did some comparison shopping and was pleasantly pleased, when Bill's Ace matched pricing on a Weber BBQ. In addition, they provided assembly, deliver AND they took my old BBQ away. I ended up joining their rewards program and will get coupons, offers and other deals on future purchases.The staff was very personable, helpful and easy to work with. I recommend giving them a try before you purchase on-line from a big box retailer.

Keys fit perfect; staff was great; laughed it up at the cashier, and the customers here are cool as well!
