My favorite Target—and I’ve been to many in Chicago and elsewhere. The North Side offers a dog’s breakfast of targéts, but only the one at Clark and Drummond so perfectly blends variety and convenience.
Target is at its best when customers feel encouraged to peruse the aisles hoping to stumble across something wonderful, and at its most authentic when loyal customers are empowered to breeze in and out quickly and comfortably as part of their errand runs. Target Lincoln Park North offers both experiences, often simultaneously. Its location is a tent pole to something of an errand haven for twenty somethings in the Park West area; all week long you’ll find Zillenial shoppers trekking dutifully between Trader Joe’s, Foxtrot, and Target for their weekly spoils and treats.
The Target store is well sized and well laid out, making quick trips easy and payday trips exciting. Beyond groceries, you’ll also find ample home goods, electronics, and clothing departments. The inventory suits the neighborhood—aside from grocery shoppers the store also caters to DePaul students looking to spruce up their dorms on a budget, renters looking for small space storage solutions, and anyone quickly in need of a box fan or set of plates.
The store is well managed, and employees are genuinely very friendly and available to help or facilitate in-store pickup. There is also a pharmacy with limited hours in the back. Even more conveniently, the 22 and 36 buses stop right in front of the store for folks coming to and from other neighborhoods. If you live in proximity to either of these buses, I’ll be the first to tell you the ride is worth it.

The person at Customer Service was extremely helpful and tried checking on the product I was looking for. He sent someone to even look in the basement. Unfortunately no luck, but he gave me a gift card for my patience. I thank him very much and would like to see more people like him.

A small Target with all the same departments, just not a lot of section in each! But they have wine and liquor and a pharmacy!

Brianna is so helpful and sweet. I live close by and I love when she takes care of me.

The staff are always really nice, helpful, and welcoming. It’s a smaller target but really does provide the target experience and it’s a blast going here even for a quick grocery run.

I highly recommend the Target Lincoln Park store located on north Clark Street, south of Diversey (former site of Best Buy and longtime CTA Limits street car and bus garage).

Specifically what I like about this store is that it is squeaky clean, the price point and inventory is very competitive, most of the staff I have encountered are personable, helpful yet unobtrusive, are good communicators and make the customer feel valued, and there is a free parking garage below the store!

Staff go out of their way to assist you—when is the last time you were in a retail store where the staff was available and interested in helping customers? All of this doesn’t happen mysteriously. Kudos to the Target management for creating this positive environment. I realize that to create this customer centric environment costs Target a lot of money and yet it sets it apart and on a higher level than its competition. Target is on to something….let’s hope their mission succeeds!

Come here if you value customer service! The staff is efficient and friendly. The first time that an employee said "Thank you for shopping at Target!" I thought it was a joke since I never heard that before.

This Target has employees who proactively offer help. Walk you to item locations or call someone who knows the area better and can help you.

There is no wait time in line! Self serve and customer service will finish your purchase from 30 seconds to 2 minutes on a busy day. Then, they might be saying "Thank you for shopping at Target!" while you are running to your next errand.

I didn't even mention the smiles from the employees and them seeing if someone is available online.

When my girlfriend and I were at the register and having difficulty with the card reader at the self-checkout, Marla checked in on us and brought us to the front of the store where she scanned in our items and got the card to finally work after a few more tries in addition to price-matching what we bought for the inconvenience! Throughout the whole stressful process, she reassured us and had a very pleasant, friendly attitude the whole time without ever doubting my girlfriend and I! We will continue to return to this store and hope to see Marla again!

This store may not have the inventory of larger ones but it is close and usually has what I need. Customer service is great. The produce is fresh, bananas are always cheap, and they have a nice selection of frozen fruits I like to keep on hand.

The old CVS/Pharmacy I used to go to when it was down the block is now inside this store. I have never worked with a pharmacist as attentive and helpful as Gio Jarvis, the manager. I also have the option of getting a Target $5 coupon instead of a CVS one when I have filled enough prescriptions.

This is one of my favorite Target location. The staff greet me as I enter the store; always helpful when needed and friendly as well. This store always have the items I am wishing to purchase and the customer service is fast and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit.

Target is affordable, has great quality products at low prices, I always discover new things when I visit, and the people that work there seem to be happy and enjoy their jobs. At the Chicago Lincoln Park target on Clark Street (Clark and Diversey), I received world-class customer service by Marla. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely improved my day. You rock, Marla!

Pretty store and the employees are very helpful

Pretty small location, so don’t expect to find everything you would at a regular location. Also, don’t forget to price match items. They are forced to price everything higher than other Targets away from Cook County, but if you go on the website and show them the lower price, they will adjust the cost for you. Also very nice they have a Starbucks inside the store.

Very convenient. I've yet to leave without finding the product I went there for, although I'm not the pickiest shopper. Also, if you don't need something immediately, you might want to order it on Amazon instead of paying more for it here (sorry, Target).

Perfectly convenient and has almost everything I need! Not quite the selection of your normal large Target, but I stop in here a few times every week for random groceries, toiletries, cosmetics, etc. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Easy to get to, easy to do business with, friendly staff, I checked myself out which was quick and easy. Incredble choices for a store with lower price points.

I would like to note an exemplary employee with whom I interacted with during my most recent visit this specific Target. He is earning this 5 star review. My Beats headphones had stopped working so I took them in to exchange (not knowing that Target only has a 30 day return policy) and was unable to do so. SaFi Khan made an effort to ask me as I was just standing waiting on my group, if everything got worked out. After telling him no, he went on to help me reset the Beats and got me reconnected and fixed my problem. He went above and beyond when he didn't have to help me resolve an issue and teach me to troubleshoot it moving forward.

I don't shop at target too often but check-out staff members are very helpful
