Tom Olsen from Ben Franklin plumbing did an excellent job at my house today. I asked him to replace 2 faucets and check the shut offs. I also asked him to fix a toilet that was running every few hours and to check the connections for the washer. The shut off didn't work on the washer connections, but it does now. He showed me the inner working of all the repairs. I now have peace of mind that nothing will go wrong.

Dustin came out twice to help us decide if we needed to have an Iron Filter installed. The first trip he was early, knowledgeable, polite, and answered all our questions, very professional. The second trip was to install our new Iron Filtration system but had let us know with the number of people and our projected water useage he thought it best to go with a 2 tank system instead of the 1 tank we had originally discussed and how that would benefit us while staying at the same exact price originally quoted. Again he was excellent to work with, we highly recommend working with Dustin at Benjamin Franklin plumbing!

As usual, my experience was very positive.

Josh was very positive and friendly during the entire service call even though installing a new gas line on my house required him to crawl under my deck to reach the old gas line! Not one complaint from him even though he was working in less than favorable conditions. I think I felt worse than Josh did.

Matt was knowledgeable, wrote up a thorough quote and when into the work, made modifications as issues became clear. Our quote was less, which I’m sure isn’t always going to be the case with an older home! We were informed of the what and why he was needing to do as he was explaining the process of repair. This built our trust and confidence.

I called this morning, Katie was so helpful and friendly, she scheduled an appointment and said she would work on getting someone out here sooner and she did. She called back with a same day appointment. Dustin arrived and went right to work figuring out the problem. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the task at hand. He left here with everything running smoothly and even took the extra steps to test our water and make sure it was being processed correctly through the water system.

I called because of a clogged drain, told Pauline the problem I was having. She took my information and said she would check with a technician to see when they could come out. Within 1:30mins a tech was on the way. The tech looked at my problem, explained what he found, and set out to fix it. Work was done in a prompt manner, and explained the outcome.

Tom knows his stuff. I have confidence in him. The work didn't take long, given the complexity. He answered all my questions and everything works fine, now.

Tom is a very personable and knowledgeable master plumber. Tom figured out our problem and has fixed it. We are thankful for his support.

Oakley was very friendly and efficient in changing out 2 faucets in my home, it was a hard job since they were very corroded.

Had our on demand water heater replaced with a new type and model. A total of three guys showed up (I'm assume the water heater was hardly something that could be handled easily by one person).

The installation only took a few hours and overall seemed to go relatively smoothly. They even put the new vent in just where I wanted it. However there could have been improvement in a few areas.

The new vent that was put in through the outside wall was not weather sealed with caulk (could see daylight coming into the basement).

A day or two after the installation we noticed the house was cold. Our LP run furnace and LP run drier had BOTH stopped working. Since the gas problem was affecting multiple appliances we called in the gas company. Turned out a valve for the furnace and drier had been turned off by the water heater installers, and not turned back on when the installers left. However Benjamin Franklin did agree to pay the gas company service call bill.

One of the longer water pipes that had been supported from the wall (to keep it from bending and breaking one of the water heater connections) did not have that support put back.

There were several sharp construction screws and other debris left laying around (both indoors and out).

Before the install we told the crew we would seal up the old water heater vent holes to the outside. It would have been nice if they would have at least put a temporary rag or something into the holes until we had time to make the siding repairs. As it was leaves were blowing into the house through the old vent holes, so we had to seal it immediately. Otherwise any kind of vermin could/would have had and easy entrance. If they weren't/couldn't going to put something in the holes temporarily, would have been nice to have that called to our attention before they left.
