Have been shopping there for 25+years. Great atmosphere, overall good prices & great deals. It's worth the trip. My first time here. Amazing place. All the brand name items along with their generic items. Excellent bakery, deli, seaford section. I went with my brother who is retired military. You have to be on active duty or retired military to shop at the commissary and the Exchange.

I am a believer. Impressed with the Fort Belvoir Commissary – it's a huge store with a well-stocked inventory. As a soldier, I appreciate the high-quality protein options and the availability of well-known healthy name brands. Deals here can’t be beat. Eggs are a quarter of the cost compared to civilian grocery stores. Commissary 2 go pickup available as well.

Largest commissary I've personally been to. Excellent quality products, and everything seems to always be in stock. They also have really great sales and discounts almost every day.

This in not our go-to commissary but we are occasionally in the area and when we are we'll stop by. It is always clean and well-stocked and the staff has awalys been very friendly and helpful. Plus it's hard to beat those commissary prices.

This is a well stocked Commissary with a huge selection of groceries and food. The store was clean and nice. Tons of parking spaces. Nice friendly and calm atmosphere and environment. Fast grab and go process here. Beautiful place to come shop.

Fort Belvoir Commissary is truly exceptional. Their deli selection is top-notch, and the salad bar offers fresh choices. The sushi is a surprising bonus, and what sets them apart is the immaculate cleanliness and well-stocked shelves. It's easily one of the best Commissaries in the world. Highly recommended! 🛒🥪🥗🍣🌟

The shelves were stocked. It wasn't crowded. Checkout was quick. We had really nice bagger #45,a sweetheart.

If nothing else, I go here for the meat. Always good quality and very reasonable price.

I've lived on base at multiple locations & this is easily the largest & most well stocked commissary I've visited. This commissary opened about a year ago & is new. The foreign foods & organic aisle is large. Fresh produce & huge selection with good prices. We live in Arlington, so we are closer to Ft Myer & will probably go there for most of our shopping out of convenience, but good to know there's a large commissary in the area.

This may be the nicest commissary I've ever been in. The produce is good and not picked over, excellent selection on most items, a HUGE meat section especially good for those who like to smoke (lots of pork and briskets), and even sell lp charcoal. The freezer and refrigerator aisles are packed with options as well. Most importantly - they sell Blue Bell Ice cream cheaper than anywhere else.

Probably the best of the military commissaries. I believe it is also the busiest. The new commissary is spacious compared to the old one with much wider aisles. The layout is a bit confusing until you figure it out. For example, try finding the hummus. Nearly identical items show in multiple places or in only one of them. For example spaghetti sauce in the specific international food section and among regular shelves, it is also in an organic section. Soda is on one aisle, but the cases are unlabeled on the next one. Their meat and frozen food and dairy section as well as the veggies are spacious and easy to browse. Overall the experience is excellent, the prices for all the food we buy are unbeatable, and the checkout is much faster and more convenient. Checkout is efficient and generally well manned. They have self checkout if you are in a hurry. Well worth the 30 min drive each way. They have an excellent organic and specialty foods section as well. They have added pickup and online shopping with delivery to your car options since the pandemic. Plus the commissary is right next to the BX if you need other items.
