I’ve been coming here for a year and i love it every time we go in. I love there veggies and everything they have in there. Their kimchi is much better than the store bought one by a LONG shot. I love their kimchi and especially the nice owners <3333

They had the best oyster sauce, soy sauce, and kadoya swsame oil. All the good stuff you can not get at any supermarket or costco. Great prices, too. They also have a Korean bbq takeout menu and cook fresh food to go!

Clean and organized with a variety of products. I even saw sushi grade salmon which I always had a hard time finding! I’ll be back for that when I make poke bowls. They also have the large containers of sweet soy sauce I never see anywhere.

My go to grocery store for my Korean food necessities! Very friendly, and they will take time to answer questions or help you find ingredients. Side dishes/bachan, kimchi, rice, frozen foods, small produce section, appliances, etc....

Occasionally, the nephew of the store owner comes and helps out the store and he is so nice. Very handsome young man with great character qualities.

I love Young's! I've been visiting occasionally for a few years now and they do not disappoint.

You're mainly going to find Korean, Japanese, and Chinese products here. Prepared foods are made in-house and everything I've tried so far has been delicious. If you see any kimbap, snatch it up! I came here one day for kimbap specifically and was sad to hear they sold out, but happy to know that other people agree that it's delicious!! I also love the japchae (glass noodles w/ vegetables) and the pajeon (green onion pancake).

You will find everything you need to make sushi, or tteokbokki, or hot pot. I even purchased an electric cooker for hot pot at home that works great! Although some of the staff's English can be shaky, they're happy to help. I usually just pull up a picture on my phone of exactly what I need. Honestly, though, the store is very small and well organized, and I rarely had issues finding things.

The produce section is small but mighty! You'll find fruits and veg that your local grocery store doesn't stock. This is a great place to expand your palate!

It's also very fun to browse the connected "gift shop" section. I love looking at the kitchen tools, tea sets, and gadgets they stock. They even have makeup, sheet masks, and socks!

Prices are reasonable, especially for a small business of mainly imported products. Some food items have a big white sticker that repeats label information in English if you need it.

I'm happy to continue supporting Young's Oriental Grocery and look forward to my next visit. P.S. seriously, get the kimbap if you see it!

Young's has a nice assortment of items and shelves are always well stocked and very well organized. Staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions. It's our go to store for items in the Asian cuisine.

This is my favorite place to shop! I live in Elkton MD and happily take the 30 minute drive to get to Young’s. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, it’s always nicely stocked with the things I love (and the only place I found banana milk at!) and their fresh kimchi is amazing. Prices are great, store is always clean and if I have questions, someone is always around and quick to help me decide which product is better for my needs. Thank you everyone at Young’s for the always top notch service!

I absolutely LOVE Young's Grocery! I typically stop there after eating at Kahlbee, nextdoor so I can pick up some raw sliced meats and prepared kimchee/veggies to cook at home on another day. The woman who usually works the register has been there for many years and is super sweet! She always usually gives me a free desert, etc that they have sitting on the checkout counter when I spend ~ $100+ (which is usually every time I go there...however not bc the items are expensive, but rather bc I stock up on so much stuff! In fact, I typically purchase the same items everytime I go there and I recently noticed that my total due hasn't changed much at all in the many years I've been shopping there! Great prices, a ton of different choices and awesome service!

Our first visit was great! Lots of different items for a small store and was not disappointed at all. I needed the curry roux for Japanese curry rice and the Japanese mayo for karaage, both of which I was able to find here, among other treats! Great experience and will return again. Thank you!

ありがとうございました!

Updating this review as I was just here today. Many years ago, there were two separate storefronts. One with the groceries and the other for various types of giftware and makeup sets. Wasn't usually as popular as the grocery store and to our surprise, the grocery store had taken over the gift shop area. In this expanded area, there were large noodle boxes, portable hot plates to cook food at the table, rice cookers and a whole wall dedicated to the types of kitchen gadgets that are useful if you want to dip your toe into the waters of this cuisine.

Now back to that food area. They have a smallish produce section next to the register and I was sure to see kabocha squash. Equally surprised to find the Japanese fried tofu that you can open up and stuff like a pita bread. The homemade kimchee is now in the old gift shop area. They have an excellent array of frozen goods like thinly sliced meat for tabletop cooking. They have all kinds of rice, exotic fruits and veggies canned. Taiyaki ice cream! I've only seen these singles but they had packages this time. Taiyaki? It's a fish shaped ice cream sandwich that covers vanilla ice cream and red bean paste. Very faint touch of cinnamon.

In conclusion, this is a great little store to visit if you like Korean, Japanese, Chinese et al. Lots of culinary treasures here.

I was nervous to go to an Asian market, because I have never been to one. The woman working there was SO NICE. Friendly, and asked if I needed help. Felt like she really wanted to help and I wasn't an annoyance. Another review said it was hard to communicate, that was not true at all in my case. She spoke excellent English. They had the two specific items that I went there looking for in the first place. It's a pretty big store and they looked like they have quite a selection. They also have fresh desserts and cakes and sushi which looked really good!

I needed some missing ingredients for Pad Thai and I was able to find everything I needed here. The store was very clean and well laid out. I had trouble finding fish sauce and the cashier helped me out. I would definitely return.

This grocery store is well stocked. Anything Korean or Japanese that is pretty common can be found here along with some kitchen supplies as well. On top of that they have preprepped Korean side dishes and kimchi. I'm glad I have this store to go to now for any Korean/Japanese ingredients. The staff is friendly and kind.

This is a nice store! It is brightly lit, clean, neat and organized, and the shelves are well stocked with a good variety of items. Majority of foods are dry & canned foods, there is a small selection of basic refrigerated foods, a large selection of freezer foods, and then the other half of the store has household items, tea pot & cup sets, sake sets, small appliances, dishware, etc. The clerks spoke good English, were friendly and cheerful. My daughter and I enjoyed shopping and will definitely be back!

I love this little market! Short of going to Philly, you'll have a hard time sourcing most of the ingredients here in this area. They have a nice selection of Japanese and Korean foods. Their prepared food is great. I'm not sure if they make the mochi there, but it's really good. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
