Amazing experience at Thunder Road books on Small Business Saturday. It's so refreshing to visit a legitimate mom & pop bookstore. The service was incredibly personal and the whole staff's passion for books was so clearly evident. The store itself is very intimate and beautifully designed. They have a great staff recommendation list which was excellent to use for Christmas gifts and they were super helpful when I inquired about a hard to find book I was interested in. The owner himself got involved with the search! They could not have been any more polite and hospitable. The small size and personal touches are what makes this local business one I will visit again and recommend to others. Bonus points for all the great Danny Clinch photos on the walls!!!

Such a great find. Bestsellers next to local authors- every genre I love to read! The vibe is laid back and friendly, Kate is such a huge help. Will be back!

Thunder Road Books is a great bookstore right on the main street of Spring Lake. They have several places to read on site including inside and outside. Grab a coffee nearby and settle in to read your new book. Kate is really helpful and will give you great recommendations!

Nestled in the center of Springsteen Country (hence the name), this bookstore blends a rock aesthetic with a flawlessly curated collection of books that range from pulpy beach reads to musical oddities. A friendly staff that has plenty of patience, especially for the wee ones tumbling through the kids' section! We've been begging for a bookstore in town for years and we are THRILLED that they opened!

I attended the Harlan Coben event and it was wonderful. Mr Coben is so interesting and funny and I enjoyed it immensely. Kate was also wonderful and staff did a great job.

Such a great store! It has a really great selection of fiction and non fiction books and if they don't have what you need, the wonderful staff are always happy to order it for you.

Fantastic and incredibly broad selection of books, beautiful space, knowledgeable staff, and a really fun kids section (complete with a chalkboard wall and squishy beanbag chairs to keep them even more entertained) - an absolute must-visit every time I’m in town!
