Incredible customer service!!! I was looking for a particular model kit (Titanic). The owner went above and beyond to get the kit for me!!! Kudos to Dennis and his friend!

I have read some of the negative reviews and have to admit, I was a little anxious to go here. However, I had nothing but an excellent experience. The owner was friendly and helpful and the selection of model cars was like nothing I’ve ever seen. There are so many vintage kits here. Yes, it’s not the fanciest place. But I thought that the section I was interested in was very organized. The prices were very clear. I am here from out of town but the next time I come here I’m definitely going back.

My daughter and I went in yesterday after finding this location on maps. Reminds me of the old school hobby shops I grew up with as a kid. The selection is amazing! The store owner is very nice and fun to talk with. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Milwaukee.

Whilst I must agree with the other reviews on here about the store being messy and there being a funky smell, the collection of model kits here is absolutely insane. Prices aren’t the greatest, but in about 30 minutes I found 3 kits I had been looking for for years now. During my visit the owner was not rude at all, in fact, he was quite helpful! He helped me look for one of my kits I couldn’t find, he went to check his backroom, but eventually we ended up finding it on one of the many shelves, and I ended up having a pleasant conversation with the man behind the counter.

The building is in dire need of some serious maintenance and the store could do with a thorough re-organizing, but I personally feel this is the kind of shop you go to to spend an hour or 2 just rummaging through the insane amount of stuff, and end up finding some hidden gems!

I will most likely be back.

This place is really awesome ! Kits paints decal and books that are unavailable anywhere even the web ! Incredible assortment of kits from the 70s to modern day !!
Every in person hobby shop has shuttered in chicago and all on Midwest save this one !!!
You should support your local and be damn glad you have it ! Are some kits pricey ? Yes as is everywhere especially the Japanese kits ( global economic issues)
Is it a bit disorganized ? Yes he has so much stock and not even space to display it !!
Recently 5 2 2022 major re organization is occurring so it’s looking great !
I would ask the people who complain. When’s the last time they cleaned their entire house / of basement ?? Then shut up and enjoy the awesome selection!!!
Is the owner eccentric ?
Yes !! Extremely knowledgeable friendly and eccentric - who the hell isnt??

Found some Ww2 kits I have been looking for for years + he’s getting more in all the time !!

Young folks : trust and knowledge comes with a price ! Think long term , buy something then ask him the information you seek .. just like the keeper at the river stxyx or any other fantasy wise old sage figure !!

What a great interesting place. Yes it’s tight and a bit dusty. However, you can spend hours in here digging and always find something knew. If you’re a model kit person, hobbyist, or anything of the sort. There’s slot cars, train kits, models, paints, gliders, toys, etc. Well worth the visit of this callback to classic Midwest Americana.

This place needs more 5 star reviews. This is Milwaukee’s hidden gem for hobby shops. The inventory is massive and there’s a whole lot of limited release models you won’t find anywhere else unless you want to pay a hefty penny. Don’t let the vintage aesthetics throw you off, this place has an incredible inventory.

After a 25 year absence from Milwaukee.. Happy Hobby is still there. Dennis was informative and cordial. I'll go back and grab the Heller HMS Hood and some 1/72 armor!!

Love this place. I have been a fan ever since they were one of the sponsors for our cub scout softball team. Amazing selection of vintage models and toys. Owner is super helpful.

Lots of cool stuff! Models, planes, trains & cars & more! Track for them & sets. Very reasonable prices. Its bigger then the outside looks. The owner is very nice & helpful.

AWESOME hobbyshop. Lots of variety and amazing deals on model railroad equipment. Last visit I spent $400.00. Got items I've been looking for many years.

If you need a model if you need a hobby or anything for a hobby trains boats planes you name it they got it RC cars everything Fountain of Venus details and anything you build that's the place to go to Happy Hobby ask for Dennis he's the owner of the one on Burleigh It's really hard to find a happy hobby store or any hobby store in the area of Milwaukee or anywhere else come to this place and you'll find what you're looking for is a real nice guy his name is Dennis anish I still read him number 5 on my list Dennis has a fine selection of more Hot Wheels than ever it's builds than ever hes got a lot a lot of trains dycast cars airplanes model cars trucks planes boats unlimited it's all air rear routing that we're routing all different sizes and types of railroad cars and buildings excellent place to go to shop for then place the gold ASAP for hobbies a deftly would guarantee you will like it there and he can find anything if you need something special he can find it His name is Dennis

🤯 my mind was blown away by the selection. i went in hoping model cars were still around (25 years since building my last) and from the cars to after market parts and paints to tools for building model cars. and any hobby really. this store has it all.

Loaded with hobby treasures and owner is incredibly knowledgeable. This is a man's hobby shop. If you're disappointed with Hobby Lobby, which has turned into a craft store, I recommend visiting Happy Hobby.

Best hobby store ever is everything that you could possibly want in it and hobby store Greensboro explains everything you name it they got it you need any paint to do your things they got all of that as well excellent place to go

This place is awesome, very cool and informative owner who knows alot about trains!! Everywhere I turned, there is something cool to look at; I could've spent all day in this place.

I first went there when I was in elementary school, they got everything I need from Model jets to paints. though there is a lot of things and very little place to put them, There is something for everyone there.

Owner was very nice. Good selection of all sorts of model kits and paint. Overall very nice experience.
