We've been regular customers for probably 15 years. Couldn't ask for better or more attentive service! The staff is personable, knowledgeable and helpful.
And their selection of beers and alcohol is top notch.

This place has a great selection of a lot of stuff,but especially bourbon. I make sure to stop in anytime I am in the area. They have a lot of barrel picks and you may just find something rare on the shelf at (or near) MSRP. Will keep returning.

Excellent selection of Scotch Whisky! Multiple Octomore and Bruichladdie Black Arts releases! Campbeltown’s galore including many Springbank, Hazelburn and Longrow bottling’s. Almost every single Compass Box bottling, all reasonably priced. Much of what you can’t get from Virginia ABC or Montgomery County is here.

Large variety of high quality and unique bottles. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Best liquor store! Great selection, nicely laid out, and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They know their products, make great recommendations, and have never steered me wrong. I used to live up the street but move to NC. I make a special trip here when I visit MD because of the selection and recommendations.

Highly suggest Shawan Liquors and working with Matt B. for any events! We got all of our liquor there for our wedding, and Matt made the process SO easy. I gave him a list of types of alcohol we wanted, and he came back with recommendations on amount based off our guest count. Furthermore, he gave us more than we needed and allowed us to return anything we didn't use, as long as it was unopened. He made the whole process stress-free and financially friendly, which if you're planning a wedding you know is important! Everyone there was so nice and helpful, especially when loading all of the liquor up into our vehicle! Thank you all so much!

I was in the area for an appointment and went in on a whim on my way home. That turned out to be an excellent decision. Their beer and liquor stock is very well curated, and their prices (for the stuff you could even find elsewhere) are also better than and other store in the region. Like I said, they have a great selection of rare and limited beers and spirits, and it's certainly worth the trip.

The employees here are fun, honest, and genuinely excited to help you. They are also extremely knowledgeable, and the owner Matt takes pride in his storefront, especially his wall of Whisky.

I've only gone there for beer and liquor, but I think this is one of the best liquor stores in the area. There's a large wine section but I haven't purchased much wine there. Prices are good, especially on growlers and the selection is good. Wish they'd clearly price the beers out on the floor, however.

Shawan liquors is not just your typical liquor store. It is the kind of place where they take pride in the whole business. From knowing the customers names; ensuring their favorite items are always in stock to mastery of the field, you always feel welcome. Their extensive knowledge/selection of wine makes choosing a pairing a pleasure and is always an educational experience.

The management also readily ventures into new and exciting selections of craft beer, spirits, and bottled cocktails. They are vested in promoting the local craft beer communities around the country and makes it a priority to always be “in the know”.

Excellent selection of liquer and spirits, the rum section in particular has a great selection of high end and moderately priced rums. Always love coming in.

Small place with wide selection. Went for a case of wine and had excellent help from multiple associates. Everyone was friendly and informative. It was also conveniently located in shopping center with easy plentiful parking. I had a really great experience and was in and out without any hassle.
