9 times out of 10 it’s a worthwhile stop. Always pretty chill, knowledgeable staff, and a good turn over of used stuff.

THE BEST vinyl store. Roadrunner is still going strong after about 2000 light years. They just (June 2020) moved a couple blocks south, still on the same side of Nicollet. High quality merch, good prices, friendly and knowledgeable employees. Yay!

Fun little record shop, great selection, even had a couple Charlie Parr albums in stock and available which is fun as he's a Minnesota native.

I really love having this little gem on my neighborhood. Vinyl, CDs, a few cassettes, baseball cards. It's a treat to visit.

This record store is awesome! There is no question, at least for me, that this is the best record store in the Twin Cities! As a former NY DJ, I have shopped record stores in NY, Chicago, Florida and even frequented Tower Records in Los Angeles at the height of their popularity. I can honestly say that Roadrunner Records is right up there with some of the best places that I have ever shopped for records! Roadrunner has a great selection of new and vintage records, their prices are unbelievable and I can usually get something that I am looking for, or a gem that I didn't even know I wanted! They have a $2 bin full of great records which makes me wonder why I even go to thrift stores at all! And, even better than that, they have 100's of great records in the $0.50 bins! Finding this place has made me feel fortunate and grateful..... Shopping at this awesome business has given me the opportunity to recover many records that I lost over the years...But mostly, it's allowed me to recover the bulk of records that I lost to natural disaster several years ago back East. Records only mean the most when you can find the ones that mean the most! I can say that I have been able to do that with a great degree of success at Roadrunner! Two thumbs way up high for Roadrunner Records!

Really great little gem of a shop. Cool selection, nice vibes and you can buy LP sleeves and new inner sleeves. Wish I had checked it out sooner!

The best Metro record shop west of the Mississippi river! I don’t get over to Minneapolis as often as I used to, but when I do, John’s prices are always fair, and he has a keen eye for quality titles. The fact that it is small works to its advantage; you don’t have to dig through piles of garbage to find hip titles. Although the selection of new titles isn’t as comprehensive as some, it is better to order it through them (which they are happy to do!) and wait a few days than to buy from the big guns in south Minneapolis, where they insult the record buyer by making them walk through a stinky gift shop and rows of CDs just to get to their overpriced new vinyl. Look underneath the surface and ye shall be rewarded.

The combination of great records, in good condition and sane pricing make this the best place to buy vinyl in Minneapolis/St Paul. There is always great stuff coming in this place.

Great little record shop, with a wide variety of vinyl. I don't shop for as much music as I used to, but I always enjoy going here.
