Yum!! Super tasty and warm environment. Layla helped me out and was super kind! Wonderful and super pretty person. :) The banana bread was sooooo good. Even got another one to bring home. Killer brownie was also good, but not as amazing as the banana bread. Iced mocha was yum too! Chips and hummus was a nice savory treat as well. Lobby can get a bit crowded and loud with the older folks that come by, not the quietest or best for a place to study. They stay focused on their crosswords as long as their coffee is filled lol. POC and Queer friendly place!

Delightfully calm and comforting interior decor- felt like the platonic ideal of a coffee shop with gentle piano music playing and the sun setting through the windows. Good and reasonably priced selection of items including some really fun-sounding pastries. I tried the rhubarb custard bar and it rocked. I’ll have to come back again!

Cozy spot that works perfect for working remotely. I'm always looking for new coffee shops and this was nice. I treated myself to an afternoon hot chai latte. Clean. Great service. Nice atmosphere.

Absolutely love this place. Almost storybook worthy. Great neighborhood feel, play room for kids (parents LOVE this), excellent food, great coffee. I wish I lived closer as I would visit more often.

Lovely space to spend the morning with family! The man who runs the place was so friendly and welcoming, really taking time to engage with each costumer (and the kids!)
My 4 year old was in the boarder of being too old for the play place, but my two year old loved it! Definitely will be going back. The cakes and breads are delicious!

Can’t say enough good things about sovereign grounds. The coffee is well crafted to perfection- super smooth and delicious with zero bitterness or acidic aftertaste (I’m looking at you dogwood 🤢)! Pastries are amazing- especially their cinnamon rolls! It’s rare to find a play cafe that actually has good coffee and friendly staff! This is my favorite new spot!

A great cozy spot for your local morning brew and pastry. Does not disappoint. Come in, stay a while, be with the people. Love.

Loved the coffee, loved the vibe! They have a really extensive bakery menu, and lots of power outlets so definitely can work from here. Spacious and nice and cozy at the same time. Outdoor and indoor seating both. Also have some space for kids to play in the back.
Highly recommend and can't wait to try more items from their menu!

The food was amazing, the man working was so kind and their setup was so unique! As a single mom of three kids, not many places are ideal for me to get some work done while my kids play. Their separate kid room allowed my kids to independently play without disturbing other customers. Everyone was happy visiting today and we will definitely be back.

I really like the berry oat bar:) and the Turkish coffee. The owner is very nice too. It’s a great place for a coffee chat or work session. A cozy neighborhood spot

Very nice little coffee shop with a play area for kids. Not huge but keeps the kiddos entertained while the parent sip coffee.

Get the Turkish pastry. All the pastries we tried were really good, so I feel you can’t go wrong.

This is such a beautiful place with a great atmosphere.

The main room is cozy with comfortable seating for a couple of large groups or solos as well. It's a great place to read, work or chat with friends as they play calming jazz music. The details of the furniture, the rug or taking a look at the ceiling makes it that much better.

They offer coffee roasts that aren't typical at other coffee shops and have great pastries as well as sandwiches and salads.

There's also a room with different playsets for children and a space for parents to hang out as well.

The staff is very friendly and very considerate. I overheard one of them offering free coffee to the mail carrier as she dropped mail off to them.

We would highly recommend this place!

I grew up just around the corner from this coffee shop and it's always been my go-to spot for great coffee, light bites, and meeting up with folks when I'm back in town. The owner is outstanding and really loves getting to know customers. He's created a unique vibe with lots of different roasts and foods to pick from, plus it's kid and family friendly. I highly recommend the Turkish roast, I always stock up on a couple pounds. But definitely ask what they are roasting when you visit, there is nothing like coffee beans fresh and hot off the roaster.

I always feel well taken care of here 🙏🏽👍🏽🙂 My go-to is a four-shot small breve to power my day. Or my evening. And the lemon bar measures up to my tart expectation, not to mention the savory selections. 👍🏽

Love this place! Family friendly, community coffee shop with a manual espresso maker, not too sweet pastries, excellent and friendly staff, and play cafe for kids. I was super impressed!

Wow! Greated like a new friend. Coffee was not bitter perfectly sweet Latte. Smooth music. Perfect environment. Price is not expensive didn't try the baked goods but they looked delicious. Everyone who comes in is greated by the owner. Locals are family and newbies are shown the ropes and I left with a warm feeling. Will be back.

Delightful coffee and pastry cafe. Coffee is excellent and the interior decor quite tasteful.

The mocha and carrot cake I got was amazing, prices were surprisingly affordable, and the staff was helpful and got right to our order.

Small parking lot but lots of street parking, cozy place to take a rest and refuel, and the bakery items are A+ like the Mocha I got. Also tried the Lavender tea, not a tea person but it seemed very good.

Will stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood.

This is a comfy and cozy coffee shop, such great employees and the coffee is always done well, and the atmosphere is so comfortable and the music is just the right amount of volume where you can carry on a conversation and at the same time you can zone out and read or work.

Best expresso in town! Breads & pastries are great. The service is friendly. This coffee house exudes community. We used to bring granddaughters to play when they were younger & returned to say hi to owner, Hakan, & yes! the coffee shop keeps its charm. Vivian & Jose
