Best kept secret if it hasn't hit your radar. Check them out. The once catalog mail to order company now has stores everywhere. If budget shopping or looking for a tool the big box don't carry or are over priced on, I'd go there. Maybe not the best for everyday professional tools. But they have them. But for the weekend worrier , Jonny homeowner its perfect. A lot of bang for your buck. At fair prices.

I was picking up a couple things at this Harbor Freight location today and the customer in line ahead of me started yelling and cursing at the cashier. She stayed super calm. I’ve been a cashier and it can be hard to remain steady and calm as a customer loses it for things you as an employee can’t fix for them. This employee did great.

Best-managed, best-staffed HFT I’ve ever shopped at, and I’ve shopped at ‘em all over the country!

My first of likely a few trips to Harbor Freight was successful and a good experience. I was able to find what I was looking for with the help of one of their associates and he even loaded my large item on a dolley for when I checked out. They asked me if I wanted to sign up to be a member and to add some sort of warranty to an item I bought but I declined. You will likely be asked your name, phone and email for marketing purposes. On the positive side, they will send you a copy of your receipt via email. Conveniently an associate wheeled out the large item on the dolley to my vehicle. Two thumbs up on their customer service so far. Assuming the tools work out, I will be back for more.

I will just keep this short because i want to write a whole lot, but ERIC FOSTER was very great. Walked in the store greeted me and when i asked for help he didn’t just point the aisle. He actually walked me to the item i was looking for, and help me get everything else i needed for the item to be put together. You dont see such sales manager/ person no more. He remind me of me when i was in retail 3 years ago. HE IS A VERY GREAT EXAMPLE TO HIS TEAM. THANK YOU ERIC FOSTER FOR YOUR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ⭐⭐⭐

Great selection of tools and unbeatable warranties

I just purchased a Hercules Ultra Torque Impact wrench to deal with several rusted, old, threadlocked large bolts. This Impact wrench worked perfectly (on my first day using it so far). Also, I am very happy with Ethan at that store for taking my phone call, setting the wrench out for me by the check out registers, explaining special impact attachments, etc. with kind professionalism.

They didn't have the engine stand I wanted in stock, but the sales person approached me before I approached her, offered to call other locations, and when she found everyone was out of stock, she actually found the similar product that stand was based on at a different company nearby. I ended buying the 1000 lbs stand instead, and she hauled it to my car and loaded it for me. Fantastic service. Will definitely go back to the Bloomington location in future

About three weeks ago we went and purchased the biggest air compressor they had, I called days before and told them ide be there within a couple days.
Well I get there late afternoon and go in and am awed by all the cool tools and equipment they have and so Iosey over to the cash and say I'm here for the compressor. She knew . So your the one. Lol yes. She calls over her mgr, and she bring me over to the display model and I'm looking and think.. yup, let's get it.
Not realizing I came at bad timing. They were receiving their truck of inventory.
So the manager has her peeps in the back make room, to get that massive Air compressor out and put in my vehicle.
They accomplished that and so I bought it and went outside to load it up.
I back in, now this thing is so huge and tall it might not fit in the van. We try.. it's a no go. So we agree the best thing to do is remove the top and side of the packaging. They do that and it's still a tight fit. But we were using a forklift lift to load it as it should be as it's over 300 pounds and then realized the forklift has limitations and now we have to lift this monster into the van. So the manager has, I think 3 people or crew come to help. All very nice and supportive and willing to go out of their way to help. So guys. I have to acknowledge you, because you did exactly that. You went above and beyond in helping.
So everyone helps getting this thing in the van and we actually only had about 6 inches of room. But they did it. I was shocked we could get this into the van. Thank you guys!!!
So I just wanted to also try to tip them. They could not except it. Hey cooperate... Change the rules so they can except tips. Why? Because your lucky to have these type of hard workers in your location, considering the times we are in, where no one wants to work! Your crew at this location were not only helpful, they went out of their comfort zone to go above and beyond with their customer service!! That's priceless!!! Having managed many other retail locations myself, I know good hard working people.
Since cooperate won't acknowledge this. I needed to say this. Wish I could have given you all a $20. tip for helping because of how welcoming this store was and for the manager who went above and beyond. I live over 45 minutes away and am super busy and getting it home could have taken an extra day or two days when we needed it ASAP.
So thank you all. Even the cool cashier..

I should have made a review a long time ago when they opened in Bloomington. Harbor Freight has been our go-to store for decades now. As a Southern Boi who grew up roofing, we used Harbor Freight every chance we got in Mississippi. I love the Bloomington store as well because the first time I shopped there the employees were nice and helpful. I'm stopping by today to grab a few things I need to take back over the road with me. This store is the best with amazing workers

Honestly, probably the best staff that I've ran into at a HF store. They had what I needed, and some of what I didn't need but bought anyway. As always, HF prices were good.

I was really impressed with the friendliness and level of customer service of the staff, especially at a store many think of as a "discount" or bargain retailer. Tammy, who helped me out, was wonderful, and found the exact product, a steel flatbed cart, to fit my needs. I heard her seeking out and helping several other customers while I was in the store. While I was shopping, I overheard another employee assisting a customer by speaking Spanish, which really seemed to be going above and beyond when it comes to customer service. I was very impressed with the value for my dollar with the products I got, as well as the high level of customer service. I'll definitely be shopping here again!

Professional, positive service, great products and availability. This company is customer oriented. I have purchased from this company before and I will do so again. The employees are fabulous, know their products, and are truly dedicated to helping the customer. I would recommend shopping at Harbor Freight Tools!🙂

People always look down on harbor freight but I love it. Some are their tools are lower quality but they are dirt cheap, so it's perfect for things you may only use every once and awhile. They also have higher end models for their tools that are actually quite nice for a fraction of brand name counterparts.

If you're not a pro and don't need the best tools in the world then this place is great. Prices are amazing. Selection is good. Essentially nothing is made in the USA but hopefully they'll change.
Staff was helpful. I just wished the closed at 9pm.

Harbor freight is great. You need to do some research as some tools are a bargain and some you should avoid. That said the 3200 generator is a bargain especially with the service plan which I highly recommend. The cheap tools just pick through them to find the best working ones and they will last awhile. I don't think I would mail order most hand tools that have moving parts though as I'd want to test them first. That said if you need to return something I have never had a problem.

What can I say about quality tools at an affordable price. They do not have all the specialty tools you may need but they do have the basics. The staff is nice enough and helpful. It is worth the trip.
