Foodland Markets

Used to Elrod cost plus foods, now food town, meat is still fresh, just more pricey now, still not as bad as the chain grocery stores, but I'm keeping my eyes on the surround sales too. 😉 good news, it's not lab grown meat so there's that!

The former owners kept Elrods clean and now newly named Foodland Markets does too! Maybe even better. I was surprised the new management takes great care of it too. . They seem to have as much as Kroger, maybe more inventory. All food is more expensive nowadays but buying the Foodland labeled products, you can pay less buying Foodland labeled products. are less than name brands. We live within walking distance and my husband walks there and back after purchasing products within 20 minutes.

Very clean. Only missing fresh ground turkey and chicken. Other than that they have it all. Go early it gets crowded in waves.

Great venue , good pricing. Don't let outward aperance fool you. Not as eye appealing as some of the newer modern supermarket buildings, however, what they lack in curb appeal they more than make up for with variety of selection and selective pricing.
Good variety of products and merchandise. Bill pay and four additional service and merchandise businesses at the front entry, separate from the market but inside as well. store is always upkept, interior and exterior lot. Fast checkout lanes and friendly staff.
The pricing of the meats and vegetables are great to stretch a budget without having to sacrifice quality. Granted you can find lower pricing on some of your pantry items elsewhere, as well as bigger crowds, less convienece and longer lines.
Overall A+ a great place to shop, when life has got you on the go.

This was my first time to ever shop at Elrod's. The store was extremely clean. The staff was very polite and to my surprise the staff was bilingual. I was afraid that because I didn't speak Spanish that they wouldn't understand me if I asked for something, but I was incorrect. I highly recommend Elrod's.

I moved to Arlington 4 yrs. ago and just learned of this grocery store about 6 months ago.
I was a little upset after getting what I needed and walking out only because I hadn’t been before! For me, this is it.. The prices are so much lower then Walmart and Kroger with a wonderful selection and superb quality! Very clean store and weekly sales are always great. The employees are ALWAYS kind ,friendly and helpful. Thank you, there is no need to go elsewhere.

I love this store never a lot of people you can get in and out and their prices are great when shopping on a budget
