Ace Hardware of Commack

I have been coming to this Ace since it first opened, every single time I’ve been greeted and helped with the utmost respect and care. Frank is one of the greatest workers there; always showing me the best products for what I need. He asks questions and makes sure I am getting the correct item for the purpose. Hands down the best customer service around! Frank really knows his stuff and is incredibly helpful, I have no doubt he sheds his positive attitude to the other employees as everybody is always very nice. 10 out of 5 stars in my book.

Great hardware store.
The guys there were very helpful and knowledgeable.

We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles and asked if we needed anything. Jared assisted us with copying our keys and after we messed up what needed copies he made sure to make it right. He was very helpful and friendly :)

Bought a grill last year and lawn mower recently very pleased with customer service. They went above and beyond to accommodate. Manager is helpful and friendly and even the young employees seem to enjoy working there.

It's easy to rate a place when everything goes good or great. You really know the character of a person, business or company, when things don't go well. How much are they willing to help you, advocate for you, listen to you, or even show you they care about you and your business to the store. Well things didn't go so hot with some returned items and reimbursement at this store. But, Frank the store manager, customer service, all bent backwards to make sure I received what I needed, fix the problem, and more importantly, keep me wanting to come back. Thankfully for Frank, I'm going to be saving my back this winter with a fresh, brand new Snow blower. Frank listened, communicated properly, fought for me to get things corrected in a professional manner. I don't leave near the store and Frank one night while helping me said, "I will make sure you leave today with everything figured out and get you home at a decent hour for dinner with your family." We need more people like Frank in this world, that care about you as a person. Frank is a huge asset to this store.

The guys were so helpful . I had keys made and then the manager assisted me with equipment for another task I had been trying to accomplish. Real customer service and friendly.

Before writing this review, I looked at the "lowest scores," out of curiosity. I hope that everyone who did not like shopping here strongly considers going back, since their recent move to 6526 Jericho Tpk, in the Commack Corners Shopping Center, has really done them well. I used to buy 4 specific items - just four - in the former store, because it just wasn't my "style," although I wished it had been, because I prefer smaller stores to huge box stores. Recently, I went to this new location, and could not believe the change. You have to just go and see. Everything is better, and there are lots of great sales. Store Manager Frank is superior.
The employees, minus one snit (sic), (who will remain anonymous, to be fair) are terrific. If you encounter the intensely unpleasant and unhelpful exception to the rule, move on to someone else; I promise he is alone in his delinquency. I am happy once again to avoid Hope Depot as much as possible.

This is one of the best ACE hardware stores I’ve ever been to. If you’re looking for obscure hardware or just aren’t sure where to start, skip the big box stores and go to ACE. You’ll pay a little more but the people that work there actually know what they’re talking about.

I just am so glad to have a neighborhood hardware store. Frank and the staff are so good. And patient. Really really patient and they know their stuff. Thank you.

An experience that I will never forget and will share with everyone I know!!! Recently, I stopped in at Ace Hardware in Commack, NY to purchase shower treads for my elderly parents bathtub. My Mom(87 and with dementia) had fallen, exiting the shower, due to the slippery shower mat in the tub. Fortunately, my 89 year old Dad had caught her, avoiding a catastrophic injury. I was assisted by Frank, a Store Manager. He was incredible!!! They did not have the item in stock, however, he checked the inventories at surrounding stores. Frank sent an employee from his store, to get the item and bring to the Commack location, all the way from Plainview! I could not believe it! I received a phone call the next day, letting me know that he had the item, and would have it at the register, waiting for me. When I picked up the item, Frank greeted me, asked me how things were going with my parents, as I was in from Florida, to care for them. I paid for my item and Frank wished me well, and told me that he was here for me, that if my parents needed anything, to reach out, and he would help. To say that Frank touched our hearts, near and far, is an understatement. What a wonderful person and an asset to the Commack community!!! We are so grateful!!!

I just had a great experience with Ace Hardware Commack. My dad who is a senior and doesn't drive anymore, needed a small adapter which was under $3. I called Ace and worked with Frank the store manager. He was kind enough to drop the adapter off at the end of the work day. I am so grateful for the kindness and great service that was provided. I will use Ace for all our hardware needs.

New location, still same helpful staff. I love going here. They seem to have almost anything I need so I don't have to go to the big box store. Great place for hard to find hardware.

This Ace store, owner and staff provided amazing customer service. 🌈 👍. I needed something they did not have in stock and the owner brought it from another store within 24 hours. I asked advice about raising an outdoor chair a few inches. The salesperson not only described a way to do it, he told me that if I brought the chair in, he would do it for me. Where else do you get that kind of service??? ❤🌸

This place has everything! Not huge in size, but its packed to the brim with everything you could need from your local hardware store. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and remarkably, can point you to the correct aisle of over 40 aisles! Shop here regularly and have yet to have a bad experience. Highly recommend.

The staff is very useful.

Had an issue with an item , I went back and the store manager and staff were amazing. Owner happened to be there, she was incredible as well as helpful.. the issue was resolved in no time .. I WILL NEVER VISIT HOME DEPOT AGAIN..
