Amanda at the service desk was kind, friendly and most importantly helpful! It was very early in the morning and right before Christmas and her positive attitude was CONTAGIOUS! Amanda was able to fix an issue that was created by the Gainesville location. She did a great job of owning the customer service I received and didn't bash the other store for messing up. She invited me to come back again, and I definitely will be coming to this location going forward. Thank you Amanda, Merry Christmas!

On the way to TN of course we needed to make a few stops. To Academy was one of them. The granddaughter tried out all the girl bikes and found herself a lime green bike helmet in the process. Not pink unicorns or any other girl helmet lol it had to be lime green Dinosaur 🦖 helmet. She loves this thing so much. She wears it riding her jeep. She’s only 2.5 and a hot mess. ♥ The restrooms were clean and the store was stocked and clean. I’d visit this academy again.

I went on a Friday afternoon to make my first firearm purchase. Daniel who was “manning” that department was outstanding. Walked me through every step professionally. I not once felt rushed or less than for not having much knowledge about the process of purchasing a weapon.
Later, Austin the team leader on duty came back to further assist me with the finishing touches on my purchase. He then told me a little about himself and engaged in great conversation. It felt genuine. A well deserved promotion! My last encounter was with Melanie. The cashier. She made sure to be positive, energetic, wore a smile and had great hospitality. To the crew at Academy Sports. Thank you for your patience and support on such an exciting but nervous purchase for me. It meant a lot.

Great Customer Service. Special thank you to the young man who graciously re-spooled all 4 of my reels at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. Kudos to the manager who came back to help and talk fishing. First class customer service.

Thank you VICTOR for the warm greeting and VANESSA for the awesome checkout customer service. Very friendly staff. A huge variety of sporting goods. There are sneakers for style along with other footwear like cleats for football and spikes for track and more. Other sporting equipment like a basketball goal, helmets, hunting rifles etc. are all in attendance.

Pretty straight forward. Clean and tidy. Decent selection of gear. Very friendly service. Got what I wanted. Not too busy on a rainy Saturday morning. Ample parking and not far from the Mall of GA.

Such an amazing store! It’s huge and has so many available sports equipment! I was assisted by Leslie and she made the experience so much easier! She was so sweet and helpful with finding everything I needed!

My daughter and I love to shop here for our workout and everyday shorts/shirts. A little pricey but you can find items on clearance as well

I love this place for a quick place to grab some sports gear for my kids which are reasonably priced. They do have things with a higher price tag, but cheaper options for the frugal shopper. They did have limited kids clothes for sport team apparel but I did go later in the season. Overall worth the stop to look for kids stuff for sports.

I had a wonderful experience here at this location. Leslie and Jaimie were the most sweetest on helping me find what we needed. I definitely will be shopping here again

Might name my kid Justin after the service I received, he put his hand on the item I was buying over the phone before I made the trip down. Love this academy

Academy Sports is one of the most important and amazing place for outdoor people. From clothing, to tennis shoes, boots, backpacks, bikes, boats, all sports equipment, but also guns and ammo. Their price is comparable and competitive with most of others Outdoor stores. It is my store where I have a Store Card and everytime I buy over there, I got 5% discout.

This one store is brand new, just had the big open day a couple months ago. The access to store is easy and it is well located in the heart of beautiful Buford!

Every time I travel to this side of the country, I shop here. I'm just glad they have online shopping. We need one of these stores in Las Vegas.

The sales item was available at this location. The personnel were very helpful in finding everything I needed.

Friendly service reps are very helpful. Went to get some football gear for my son, but I checked out the guns while I was there, and the rep back there was very knowledgeable with helping me choose a firearm. 🫡💯

When it comes to a store greeter, Melanie is the best! I visit this store all of the time and she is always so cheerful and knowledgeable of where things are.
Kate is usually the employee who checks me out at the register. She is always kind and efficient.

This Academy Sports in Buford is definitely the best in town. I live near another location but I always coke to the Buford location instead. The customer service is great, always offered assistance when walking in the store. Prices are always great. Amazing selection in the outdoor section.
