I am not an avid reader, so I’ll admit that it was national Puzzle month that got me in to the new Barnes & Noble location in Flower Mound.

I was so pleased with the layout of the new store. The previous store felt way too big and overwhelming. This new store was well lit anond very organized. The store is very inviting and cozy, and the layout makes it easy to find whatever what you are looking for. The employees were friendly and informative, and you can tell that they are proud of this new store.

The employee who helped me check out, even took the time to explain their free rewards program, and her help was much appreciated. The new location also has much easier parking, with plenty of spaces just outside their front door.

Whether you’re looking for a good book, the perfect gift, or in my case, a new puzzle, the new Barnes & Noble will make your shopping experience a very pleasant one.

Although it is a smaller location, I really liked the layout and atmosphere of this new Barnes & Noble. And the staff was very helpful and kind. Looking forward to my next visit!

I love Barnes and Noble and I am so thankful they stayed in the area! This one is packed full in a smaller, but still large space. I love the lay out. There may not be a coffee shop or cafe in this bookstore , but i heard the manger saying you are welcome to bring your coffee inside…there is a Starbucks close by. I will be a regular! I will always support a brick and mortar bookstore and this one definitely deserves to be supported!

I see reviews complaining about the smaller footprint of the store and the lack of seating and a cafe. What did you expect ? They were forced out of their previous larger location because the landlord over there wanted a Cheesecake Factory. They still wanted to stay in roughly the same area and this was the best space available. Maybe instead of having unrealistic expectations that this new location would be EXACTLY the same as the previous large sized space, be happy that we still have an actual bookstore in this area. Without Barnes and Noble there are no other legitimate places to buy books. Just stores that offer 2-3 rows with extremely limited selection (Target, Walmart). I love libraries and bookstores and am thankful for this location. Thank you Barnes and Noble for being committed to keeping a presence in Flower Mound.

interesting location! my first experience walking through the store was very fun due to the design being super labyrinthine (which i mean in a positive way.) the shelves wind alot and it's compact without feeling claustrophobic. sadly, there is no cafe and very little seating but hey, we've still got the books at a bookstore. probably my favorite b&n design-wise.

Went to make a return and the computer was unable to find my transaction even with the original receipt. Mikaela was very polite and patiently handled the refund process. Excellent customer service.

Love the design of this new store and thankful to have them back! Small sci-fi selection which is unfortunate but excited to have our “local” bookstore back. Agree with the other Nicks review as well

Book selection for new releases is excellent. Toys and games is more sparse than usual. Happy to have another physical location open up.

The bew store is spectacular. The various sections gives it a quaint hone town bookstore feel but with all the modern orginiaztiob.

Very disappointed with the reopening of this store. The Highland Village location was my favorite B&N in the entire DFW metroplex. I knew this new location would be an updated look/feel/brand and a bit of a downsize and of course I understood that. However, I was not prepared for what I walked into. This new location is a little cramped, as a book lover that doesn’t really bother me, but the space dedicated to each genre is not at all equal and a little confusing to me.

I mainly read adult science fiction and fantasy, and there was a whopping one combined book case of these genres. It was so different from the previous store I felt a little lost and a lot confused. Even still, I tried my best to do some book shopping but found many incomplete series, small collections of books from best sellers + an oddly curious selection of authors. I left feeling there was no real thought to the sci-fi/fantasy selection other than “new releases.” A small example, Stacy McEwan’s Chasm was recently released and featured in the new releases Fantasy section, it’s the second book of a new series. This title piqued my interest; however, the one book case of sci-fi/fantasy didn’t have any space for the first book of that Stacy McEwan series. Most of the “m” in the alpha a-z organization was (of course) dedicated mostly to George R.R. Martin and Sarah J. Maas.

As a sci-fi and fantasy reader, I used to go to B&N to FIND new reads and new authors, now it seems only appropriate to go there to pick up very recent releases, which as an avid reader and book shopper is very disappointing.

I know B&N locations change their layout and selection frequently so I’ll definitely be back, but this one hurt. I don’t want to only browse /shop online for books!

Husband and I went there opening new place. To find that’s big disappointment due to lack of magazines, craft and hobby books and also technical books. Also no coffees, dessert or snacks, seats, tables to sit relaxing and browse books or magazines to choose before buying. Because of their choose this place or area and downsize. What’s wrong with their concept!!!

Tried to return a defective Christmas present and the store wouldn't return the item without the original credit card present. This is an outdated policy that needs to be changed. Most every other store doesn't require the original payment method to be present. The store manager was also rude.
