I love this place. They have a wonderful new restaurant. Build your own meal like the Mongolian bbq chain style. They cook it up fresh. It was really busy last time I visited. Great quick lunch. The dried and fresh mushroom selection... I've never seen so many different types of dried mushrooms and so cheap! Huge selection down an isle by the refrigerated items. If you are a vegetarian they offer organic beans, tofu, vegetarian meat replacement items, great produce.

This grocery store is amazing! Wide variety! Even had some packages of gluten free ramen for my friend. Usually thats very hard to find. It keeps up with the cool new products being released in Asia too. 100% go visit. The staff is wonderful.

Leaving a great review because the owner or manager (not sure) has left a great impression on us. We bought a box of mama shrimp tom yum noodles and it rang up as $11.99 and we already finished paying and the cashier seemed confused and opened up our box and checked the individual price and turns out it was supposed to be $20 for the box. She said we would have to pay a remainder of $8.79 and we said that’s fine because we understand they are just doing their jobs and probably wouldn’t want to get in trouble but the manager came around and said “No. It’s our fault, not yours. You guys are all good to go.” She seems to have great morals and customer service as a leader. Thank you!

Great selection of all sorts of Asian items here. Staff was helpful. Be sure to dress warm as it is a bit chilly in the store.

Fresh International market has a little bit of everything, though it’s very much about the food first and foremost — if you’re looking for household stuff, outside of some very specific things this place is unlikely to have it. While it primarily caters to Asian cuisine (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese) you’ll also find things that would be useful in other non-Western cuisines, like various cooking seasonings/condiments, whole spices, bony cuts of meat, whole fish, etc (and sometimes they randomly have stuff like Jamaican rub). So it’s a good place to go if you’re looking for neck bones, pig/cow feet, tripe, or tendon. The selection of produce isn’t very wide, but it’s probably the most consistently stocked part of the store (except for fruit, which is usually seasonal).

Stuff rotates and not everything is always there (I’m assuming it’s a supplier thing). There’s an aisle of household goods that never seems to have the same thing in stock when I visit (I love the long gloves for kitchen work) but frozen foods can have variable availability (great selection of frozen dumplings). They’ll usually have a display closer to the checkout counter with any big seasonal food items (ex. mooncakes for mid-Autumn Festival), where there is also a beauty product/personal hygiene display.

I was a customer here before the big renovation they did a few years back and I can say the changes they’ve made have made shopping a much smoother experience and things much easier to locate. It’s clean and well lit, and the high ceiling keeps it from feeling cramped even if the shelves are packed full. The aisles are still a little narrow, so expect to squeeze past people during busier hours. It’s really best to visit when you have some specific-ish items in mind that you want to nab.

I am a huge lover of Asian foods and recently decided to delve into making Korean dishes at home. What an undertaking to learn a new skill! Anywho... loved the selection of fresh foods at this market. Bread section was a surprise and can't say enough about the meat section. I tried a multitude of things but highly recommend the bulgogi meat, pork belly, soju and red bean paste bread. My beef bulgogi turned out amazing and the bean paste pork belly was even better. We will return!

Best Chinese/Asian food market there is. Even has live crabs (Thurs/Fri).

I just go there for variety of mushrooms. I love the unique collections that they have. Always fresh!

Review update: easy 5 stars for being super well stocked and organized. Have not been here in a while but this store struck me as a 'need to come back' place. It is authentic and carries items from all over Asia. We were in desperate need of that unique Okonomiyaki sauce...found it in under a minute. Yay! Be back for more diverse things.

The renovations are beautiful! The selection is amazing and the staff really helpful. Impressive variety of meat, produce, seafood and even tofu! We’ll be back again real soon!

This place is huge! So many items. I am a total Asian food fan and visit so many, none like this! The people there were so helpful and friendly (spoke fantastic English so added bonus!) The store is beautiful and very clean as well!!!

I only come to Lansing twice a year as my mother lives here. My first time experience at Fresh International is great. The greens are fresh and the lay out of this store is great. Their fresh fish selection is amazing. I really appreciate the manager who really help me a lot on finding different stuff. Great place to shop and they have a variety of Asian food and otherwise.

Update²: Still a phenomenal shopping experience with such friendly service. The store has been polished further, and you can tell they take pride in their work here. The options are plenty, the stock is there, and the prices!! Excellent work on keeping items accessibly priced for our community. The produce, meats, and fish are fresh and well kept. Parking is plentiful, and the entrance is accessible to anyone. I had a great time shopping here - they really have anything you'd need for the International cuisine they specialize in.

I did have one concern; they claim to accept EBT (I even inquired via phone call before my shopping). Well, my EBT transaction wouldn't process here after four attempts (whilst it did at other stores on the same day). I'm not sure why, however I am grateful for the exceptional response and kindness from the staff, allowing me to wait for a family member to arrive and holding my items safely. Thank you for providing our community with a fresh and incredible place to shop! Many blessings and peace.

WOW... didn't even recognize it. Very upscale. Beautiful store and vastly more product's. I'm setting aside a day of my vacation just to wander around . I've always enjoyed visiting the store. It has always had a greater selection that the Asian groceries in North Carolina.

Probably the best grocery store for all things Asian in Lansing. I can find items for Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes all in one spot! Lots of hot pot items, your hearts desire in noodles, and sauces galore. And don’t get me started on snacks.
