Peanut Shop

Very quaint operation in Lansing, you can smell the deliciousness from quite a ways. The store was packed with customers but they got you in and out pretty quickly with friendly and fast service. We usually try to stop by every time we are in town.

I've been coming here for years (when I'm in the area during business hours) for the best nuts you could ever hope for. These are premium nuts, perfectly roasted and salted if that's what you're into. They also offer non salted, etc. If you're a nut lover, stop in! If you're not a nut lover, stop in... you will probably become one after trying their nuts!

A Lansing tradition! The Peanut Shop is locally owned and fresh roasts nuts of all kinds daily. They have a wide assortment of old-fashioned candies and a friendly, helpful staff. Plus there's the vintage Planters peanut guy who sits a top the roaster and fresh popcorn! It's a must stop!

I wish Glenda and Tammy still owned this place. I miss them. They are Floyd Melser's (I remember him as the peanut man) daughters. They have the freshest peanuts (in and out of the shell) in the Lansing area.

I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone!!! I placed an order on Thanksgiving Day and it was ready on Black Friday morning the next day!!! I would highly recommend anytime of the year!!! :)

Great little place for nuts and chocolate. They even have fresh popcorn. They told me they have been open for 80 some years. Nice to see a family run business still around!

The very best aroma therapy in peanuts around. You can smell them a block away. The scent brings back many good memories for me of both my parents and grandparents taking me there as a child. I took my son there for the first time. Excellent service, same store that I remember as a child back in the 70's. The Peanut Store has been in business since 1937. But, sadly, no internet page to buy from.

The staff is pleasant, the smells are amazing, and the nuts are the best. The fresh roasted peanuts in their shells are a delicious tradition in the Lansing area. Well worth the visit to this small but mighty shop.

Always the freshest nuts and snacks. Nothing sitting around for months and years. So important as a chef who can't get away with serving stale nuts in baking and salads. The shipping is also fast. Like really fast. So glad the new ownership saved this place!

A christmas tradition for us to visit this adorable little store. Its a wondeful gem for lansing with great history!

I love the peanut shop! They have so many things to choose from it's hard to decide but everything I got was delicious. The employees are super helpful and friendly!

Best peanut & candy (old fashion) store in the World… Spanish peanuts, popcorn, roasted shell peanuts & licorice are some of my favorites… A true highlight of Lansing, Michigan (downtown) my home town…

Friendly & quirky staff with high quality nuts.

I was walking around downtown exploring and came across this gem. Staff were incredibly friendly, greeted me when I walked through the door, and the smell of the little shop was captivating! I found myself having a friendly conversation with whom I believe was the shop owner or manager on duty.

They educated me on their roasting machine that has been at this location since 1937. It was really fun learning about the history and how rare these machines are.

I highly recommend checking this amazing whole in the wall brick and mortar shop.
