A wonderful place found by chance on my drive to Lansing! Atmosphere is cozy, the manager Keith was very attentive and engaging. I enjoyed the conversation in between our orders. He suggested a cider that was perfectly suited to my palate; the server John was quietly observant, knowing when to stop by. I had the voodoo pasta which was cooked to perfection.

I had a great time and would most definitely recommend this place!

We went to Soup Spoon Cafe for breakfast. It was sooo good! Nothing disappointed. The mimosa hit the spot. The pesto scramble was amazing! Instead of the toast that came with it, I subbed for French toast which came with a strawberry cream cheese topping which was also delightful. My partner ordered the smoked salmon eggs benny and that was also to die for. We are already planning on making reservations to come back next weekend.

A very busy restaurant. Be prepared to wait. Grab a drink at the bar and wait it out. It's worth it- especially for breakfast.

The kitchen staff rocks! The server was amazing, and the host was probably the best I've ever seen.

First time customer, won't be my last.
Enjoyed a breakfast with Mimosa. Nothing negative to note.

Ok... this may sound crazy... but try the Naan Pizza with chicken, jalapeños, peanut butter and blueberries!!!! It is a perfect mix of sweet, creamy and spicy!!!! Yum! Can't wait to come back!

Soup spoon cafe is hands down the best breakfast/brunch place in Greater Lansing Area. Have been a huge fan of their omelettes. As I am regular here so a lot of times I go off the menu. The servers are very friendly and the ambience is awesome. Love the overall vibe. Highly recommend this place

We had a lovely birthday dinner with the family, and enjoyed a wide variety of meal and drink options. There were too many great dessert options to choose from, so we took a bunch home. Great service too! Also loved looking at all the art for sale on the walls. Very interesting!

If you’re visiting Lansing, this is the spot! I’ve lost count of the times I’ve came here & I’ve never left disappointed. Keith & the bartenders always deliver outstanding customer service to us. Also the food is always so amazing. We always get the soup flight, the blackened tenderloin salad, & a new entree. The BEST! :)

This was the best meal I've had in years. The food was so amazing. We had burrata, stroganoff, and spoon-i-pino. Great wine. The cocktail menu looked good but didn't try this time. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and I could tell they take pride in their work. (Thanks Courtney and Josh!) Not the fanciest place atmosphere-wise but it's cozy/comfortable and overall a fantastic experience.

My daughter got a gift card after mentioning she wanted to try this place so we went there for lunch after running errands. I will definitely be back.
We didn't realize it was a no kids menu, cloth napkins, cocktail bar kind of place but luckily my 2 year old granddaughter is very well behaved when we go out to eat.

I misread the menu and thought the grilled cheese with tomato was like a soup and sammich combo with tomato soup. Our server explained it was a grilled cheese with tomato on it. I was flustered and ordered a soup I've always wanted to try.
Well.
Today I learned I do not like French Onion soup and neither did my lunch companions. I wasn't going to say anything but my daughter politely told our server and asked if I could get chicken noodle instead.
She got some for me and remembered a new empty cup for my granddaughter so I could share with her.

The chicken noodle soup was great. I loved my grilled cheese and the pasta salad. The pepperochini in the pasta was a great touch even if a little too hot for me to eat all of it. I'll be having my husband add it to his pasta salad recipe. I love that it was a side option with the sammich.
My daughter liked her breakfast dish, the Baja scramble or something like that.
The little one liked most everything we gave her.
This was a lovely place and the smells were amazing as soon as we walked in. We were seated right away and I loved the art on the walls.
The specialty cocktails look very interesting and I plan to get one next time.

I do think the soup selection should come with the menu or on the table rather than a small sign on one wall in the dining room. Maybe I missed it but so did my daughter.

Our server was great aside from seeming annoyed with us but as a former server I know kids can be a wild card and not always easy to have in your section but not every toddler is a monster at restaurants. She took great care of us and was not rude but seemed annoyed or maybe just having a rough day. It only affected our experience by making me feel like a difficult customer which is a "me" problem in the end.

This place rocks. We've been looking for a local restaurant with good vibes and decent prices and this works wonders. $6 for a bowl of soup & $9 for a 2-egg breakfast. $6 for a creme brulee. Everything is made in-house with love and you can tell. We are definitely gonna come back!!

We got the new York strip and the venison meatloaf. The steak was cooked to perfection, I enjoyed every bite. The venison was amazing and unique flavors. The prices were great too! 2 large meals, glass of wine and 2 cups of soup for $65.

It was great service, food, and drinks. Recommend calling ahead for seats. It is just a shorter wait. Coming back again soon!

I took my mom out to lunch while visiting from the Detroit area this week. Soup Spoon was our go-to lunch spot before I moved out of Lansing over a decade ago, but it remains my favorite spot to visit when I am back in town. She had a soup flight (choice of four cups of soup out of the 7-8 offered daily), and I had the Soprano sub. Fast and friendly service, great food, and a big variety on the menu. The Soup Spoon Cafe continues to be the premier lunch spot in Lansing.

I've dined in several times and ordered takeout once and the food was equally delicious every time and the service has always been great, even though it can get very very busy. HIGHLY recommend the Peacemaker sandwich. It's perhaps the best sandwich I've ever had. The last time I had it, I hadn't been to Lansing in several years and I had really been building it up in my mind, so it had a lot to live up too and it exceeded my expectations. Lots of creative options if you don't want a sandwich though.

Felt like home! What an all-around great establishment. Our waitress Sasha was extremely helpful with the menu options and ways to customize this rare gem of a restaurant that makes just about everything from scratch. Our party settled on a great Benny (Chesapeake) option that had crab as its protein, and also an omelet (Chowder Head) filled with a rich, not too creamy seafood chowder that was spot on. The pancakes were also a slam dunk with the right combination of crispy edges and dense fluffy center. We paired these amazing items with their Sangria Mimosa and a mixed Citrus. I'm definitely going back and I would highly recommend this establishment.

This is my new favorite breakfast/brunch place. Every time I've gone to Soup Spoon it takes me at least 10 minutes to stare at the menu and narrow down my picks of what I want to eat. Everything on their menu looks and sounds amazing. The layout of this restaurant is very spacious and comfortable. The staff is always friendly. Normally I'll post recommendations about what to choose off the menu, for this place I'm just recommending you try this place out and pick whatever you want. You won't be disappointed.

We waited a while to be seated but it was worth it. The food was delicious and the portions were good. Our cocktails were delightful. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.
