I went here on recommendation from a customer at work. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service at Ibom Mart! I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and I was treated very politely the entire time. The customer service here was the best I have ever had from any store or restaurant I have ever been. I looked around the mart and bought a new flavor tea that I wanted to try and an Arizona tea can for my meal. I mainly came for the food as I had never tried African food before, and I was eager to try some for my visit. I got fried fish, half coconut rice/half jollof rice, and plantains. I enjoyed every piece of food on my plate. The flavors are great and it tastes just like a homemade meal. I can tell the food was made fresh and with love! This is not soulless fast food! I got a very large portion. You can share the dish with one other person, or split it into 2 or 3 meals depending on your appetite. Thank you to the employees of Ibom Mart for making my first experience trying African food a very special experience. I will most definitely be back to try some more dishes. If you are looking for a sign to come to this shop, this is it!

Came here for the food following word of mouth glowing reviews. I gotta say. They did not disappoint. We had oha soup among other meals. On point! 😋 😋 😋. The service was top notch was clean and smelled good. They give you warm water in a stainless steel bowl to wash your with scented soap. Overall, I'm coming back 👌🏽

Please support this place! I want it to be around forever. Such a nice, clean African market and a restaurant. Their prices are very reasonable! And they are so friendly and helpful. I was greeted by the owner, the lady at the restaurant and the owner had his daughter assist me with my questions. Not only did she assist me with my questions, she stayed by my side through my entire grocery shopping, grabbed items for me and even held my bag of rice (my shopping basket was full and couldn’t hold the bag of rice). They made sure I was well taken care of and felt welcomed. I definitely cannot wait to return. Their restaurant is clean and they give you so much food. I really appreciated their packaging too! Look at the photo. Jollof rice- 4/5 pretty good could use just a touch more salt (my preference) but spice and flavor was great, fish was good but I wanted beef which they were out of. They also offer chicken as jollof rice plate comes with the option of a protein. Suya was good. $2 per stick. Flavor was perfect for the suya but the meat was a bit tough, Meat pie was huge and flavorful with a hint of curry. I rate it a 4/5 only because I prefer my meat pie to be on the dry side. I have been searching for authentic Akwa Ibom food in Houston for a while now. Well, that search is over. The food is so good, I can’t even believe it myself. The environment is also immaculate. Definitely going back!!

Wow just wooooow. This is the best catering restaurant period. You cannot tell me less. The precision is divine and packaging so epic and details. The food itself is heavenly, mouth watering and so tasty. HANNPA Appreciates the warm service. We will definitely be ordering next time

We went there( my friend and I) on someone's recommendation. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the whole shop. We ordered isiewu and it was really out of this world. The owner Mr Ubong was very cordial and served us happily and continued checking on us to see that we were comfortable and happy throughout our visit there. I will definitely be back there and will recommend to my friends.

I recently had a pleasure of ordering some food at IBOM mart and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Ponmo, Nkwobi and isiewu were so delicious that I regretted not ordering more for my thanksgiving party.

Finally, I have gotten a chance to write a review that this restaurant deserves after three consecutive visits. My initial purchase was a plate of goat head and to say the least that I was extremely satisfied on the quantity and the aroma. Did I forget to mention that there was no single bone found while consuming it and it was well garnished with onions and vegetables?

Food was on point, vicinity was clean and their customer service was top notch. The owner appeared very humble in his interactions with the customers. My second and third visits was with my friends and they were blown away by the delicacies presented to us for our consumption.

One thing I noticed was that a plate of goat head got relatively smaller for the same price. Consistency should be the key!
