They have Wonder Bread now. They haven’t been here since 2012! They also have some Nature’s Own bread and Tastykakes.

Loved it great hometown shop good people fast service. Tourists are the only one with issues. We ain't no fast way of living up here. Remember that's why you came up here.

Goos selection of food. Prices higher than “back home”, but nothing to crazy.

It is well stocked and of good quality, the staff is very friendly. I used self checkout and it worked well and fast.

Really good store for groceries in the highest town in the country.

Edit: As with all things, people are the most important thing. Im not going to take a star away, but i have had two orders messed up (out of twenty) and the same person messes it up. Im hoping training will help.

Original review: I am primarily posting in regards to the online ordering and pickup process. Fast. Easy. And truly great service!

It was just awesome. The app let me hit so many deals and obviously the convenience was great. We are extremely pleased to have this type of service available in Leadville.

But by far the best part was Ms. Venus Hart. What. A. Gem. Our groceries were immaculately packed. Every item was of the highest quality. While she helped load us out she explained all of our substitutions. When one wasn't within our price range she promptly processed the return. All paperwork was to spec. All quantities spot on. Marvelous!

She smiled and was so professional but personable. It really says something to me when I feel like a valued guest during such a short interaction. I have done pickup in a lot of places. Not nearly as good. We will definitely be back and use this service!

Nice store right in Leadville, but it’s pretty pricey for the convenience

Very conveniently located just 30-40 minutes away from the nicest cabins in that area of Colorado, Alpenglow Cabin. It can get a little crowded at times, given that it's pretty much the only serving the local community. Though small, I appreciate all the food and supply options they have.

I wrote a 1 star review a year ago for a terrible lady, named Dianne, or whatever I don’t care how it’s spelled she’s obese and evil and dyes her hair. You’ll recognize her by her poor customer service persona. However I’m taking back my 1 star and giving 5 for how many amazing people work at Safeway now. There’s Mary, Laura, Venus, Bianca, Matt, Skylar, Heather, Kelly, Divòn, Angie, Julie, Madel, and so many more! So grateful to be able to walk into the store and see so many friendly faces. Thank you for keeping it up with the good people!

I feel this is the best Safeway I have been to. I have been there a few times, today is the first hot meal I have had from this location. The food was amazing, tasted very fresh and the ribs.... Mmmm those ribs were so good

Good selection of meat, vegetables and fruits, breakfast items, beer and and easy check out.

The employees at this Safeway are terrific! Every time I shop at this store, I am reminded how lucky we are to have such helpful employees and a nice, clean store as this. The produce department always looks amazing! Colorful and artistically arranged, to look like an art display!

For being in a small town this grocery store had a nice selection or organic produce and a wide variety of other options so we were able to get everything we needed at reasonable prices while in town on vacation. We were a little worried with some of the other reviews, but were pleasantly surprised!!

Laura is the reason this place gets five stars from me. Aside from the only grocery store in this neighborhood. Us locals have to go in here almost daily causing Safeway to be like a home to us. Sometimes we see management treating staff with a bit of a power trip which would be my only negative on this review because without the employees no one would have a job. But Laura is always treating everyone with love and respect and calls everyone that comes in by their first name! There may be many politics to the us place but energetically, Laura brightens my day. Venus is also really sweet and Belinda always has great compliments to brighten my day. Thank you for all you guys do!

Great store with nice helpful staff love Safeway

Safeway is the largest grocery store here in town. That being said it’s nice that the prices are reasonable and the selection of items in the store is very good. They have a great organic section and the produce section has a lot of variety and very fresh options. This store is clean the people are very helpful and friendly! The parking lot is a bit crowded and a little funky but you always see folks ya know here!

I love Safeway... they have pretty great... well, everything...i recommend going to their deli area and getting a dessert from there... their cakes are amazing (they have them by the slice) I wish I hag one right now...lol... their sourdough bread is ALWAYS good, as well!

The produce department has been incredibly awesome, the staff has been doing a awesome job keeping it stock and fresh the new produce manager is very nice and friendly he always offers me a sample of a fruit and always offers assistance, you can see the big change in the produce, the produce always has my stuff in stock and I know it's fresh, they are doing a excellent job. GOOD JOB PRODUCE TEAM!!!!!
