Walgreens

This review is specifically about the pharmacy. I do not like the pharmacy I had to use in 2023 and previous years because it was in network with my child's secondary insurance. I prayed for the day when Walgreens would be in their network. On Jan 1, 2024, my dream came true. I began to transfer my child's prescriptions. Upon doing so, the secondary insurance would not work. I dropped off the first prescriptions on Jan. 16th. None of my child's medicine was in stock. I went into the store to give the pharmacy tech the new insurance information. I waited. On Jan. 24th, I followed up with a phone call. I know the pharmacy is busy and short-staffed, so I was prepared to be on hold for a bit. This time, my wait was not as long. The pharmacy manager, Tina, answered the phone. She was polite and calm. I explained the problem. She tried to resolve the problem and could not. She told me she was going to call the CORPORATE OFFICE for a solution and she would call me back. Twenty minutes later, true to her word, Tina called me back and stated not only did she contact the Walgreens corporate office, she had also contacted the Walgreens software help desk in an effort to get a resolution to the problem. However, nothing they tried worked. I thanked Tina and told her I would call my child's insurance to see if they could help from their end. Tina and I ended our call. While I was on the phone with my child's insurance company, the customer service rep stated that she did see claims for my child's medicine. I simultaneously signed into the Walgreens app to check the prescription status. Much to my surprise, the problem was FIXED! I thanked the customer service rep and told her that I was surprised Tina, the pharmacy manager had not called me to tell me. I ended the call with my child's insurance. I was about to dial the number for Walgreens Pharmacy and my phone rang. It was Tina calling a 2nd time. She told me the problem had been resolved and told me what to say to any other pharmacy staff if this issue occurs again. Tina kept thanking me for my patience. I kept thanking her for her diligence and professionalism. She could have easily said, "It's an insurance problem. YOU figure it out," and left me to my own vices. Instead, she stayed in this with me until she exhausted all measures and thankfully the problem was resolved. In these crazy times we live in, I hope that more of us would extend patience and grace to each other, especially for things beyond our control. I won't lie. It was aggravating having to wait extra days for my child's meds, but it was not Tina's fault or any of the staff member's faults for the issue. Being angry at them would have been misplaced aggression. Instead, Tina and I ended our phone conversation on a good note and we both got a chance to smile. I have been going back and forth between the Dr. office and Walgreens to straighten out an error from the doctors office. Jordan was very helpful and was able to sort out the issue and just provided the friendliest and most professional service. I just wanted to post something nice as thank you just didn't seem like enough. Thanks Jordan!

This is one of the biggest Walgreens in the area. They have a lot of great stuff here! A really larger selection of everything that you can get at Walgreens. The store is neat and clean and well stocked! Everything is organized beautifully. I enjoyed visiting this store.

They are helpful and nice here; even when I had trouble using my Walgreens app to get some really good sales, they went above and beyond and helped me.

My 5yo with special needs just received a vaccine here from the pharmacist. It went incredibly well! By far the best experience we’ve had with a pharmacy giving the vaccine.

Want to let everyone know what a great experience I just had in this store in the photo department. Missy went above and beyond helping me figure out how to make my pictures into posters, then she promptly worked on printing them out for me( even though the counter was busy) she was able to multitask and I walked away with my posters. Thank you so much. Walgreens is blessed to have an employee like you!!!

I dropped in on a Sunday at 8pm to fill a script. I felt like I got hit by a bus, and was desperate to get started on the antibiotic. No other pharmacy was open, and I had to drive almost 20 minutes to get there, but boy was I happy they were there! I honestly had low expectations for the customer service because, well, I wouldn’t want to be there at 8 pm on a Sunday- why would they? However, the staff was so kind, and filled my script very quickly! I was so pleased with my experience.

My daughters Dr called in a prescription on Sunday evening for her, I called to verify they received it. Yes, I had to wait a bit for my call to be answered however, when It was, the pharmacist was polite and he answered my questions and concerns and advise me that her prescription would be ready within 20 minutes. I later went and picked up the prescription. and it was ready. No issues at all. The same young gentlemen that had answered the phone assisted me and he was just as sweet and professional.

Hopefully management sees this and can recognize Laurent the pharmacy tech for her amazing efforts especially with the vaccines. She is so sweet, personable and hardworking. She definitely deserves some praise!

Always find what I need late night , quick not much waiting.

Great location easy to get to banks, Publix, dog store, Belks, some food eatery's. Been using store since 2003. The store has actually gotten better over the yrs. The full staff is aware during the shifts even while handling stock, registers, go backs, price changes, that customers are around. They ask if they can help you all the time. If you dont have a basket they get you one. Can not find product they will find it or find another that knows. They have a great knowledgeable beauty specialist that knows hair color makeup skin matching and all her products. The pharmacy hit it on an off hour is the key. Then it is fine. Make sure you are clear if you only want one 1/2 of that precs. this month say it twice and tell them to make sure they all know this. Then it will happen. Great sales, coupons, bonus points. Food is fine never had a problem I check all my labels and dates prior to purchase you have to or you are the fool. Retail is retail they are friendly they will call if lines get long in front. Look if corporate gives you so many dollars that week for staff and you only have 5 staff members for that day thats all you get, they have to make it work. That being said. This walgreens store is doing great and on top of that it is always organized clean and recovered. The staff even smiles in times of stress.!!!

Missy was amazing! She was very patient and went above and beyond! Helped me out with my pictures. No one else there would have done what she did. Peggy=)

I love shopping at this Walgreens! The store is clean and organized. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpfull. The pharmacy is one of the best I have ever encountered. Thank you for being there to always assist your customers.

Daneen the Beauty Adviser is the best. She was not slowed down by an injured foot, but greeted me with a big smile and assisted me courteously and efficiently. Dave the Store Manager is also exceptional. He stocked the shelves on Saturday and helped me find what I was looking for. He is a true leader who leads by example.

I visit this Walgreens often after moving to the area. My son is having a lot of health issues so we are there getting prescriptions a lot. The staff is always super helpful and accommodating. I used to like CVS better but I have totally changed

I love this Walgreen's because I am able to get small groceries when I get off work at midnight and everywhere else is closed. It is convenient to my home. Robert the manager who is usually in at that hour is amazing he always greats us happily.

Just wanted to share that Katherine, who was running the register when I went in today, was an exceptionally kind and welcoming person to me. She embodied what customer service and human decency is about. Amazing experience today. Thank you, Katherine.

Lex and Will were very helpful, even though the pharmacy was already closed. These guys were very receptive and informed me when I could come back to pick up my Rx.

The customer service was top notch. The staff was very friendly. I also love the vintage photos of Walgreens as it was "back in the day." Nice, clean store.
