Food slaps very nice people too

On the surface, Save More looks like most convenience stores. Once inside, you can see they are much more. They are actually a small supermarket offering everything from fresh veggies to cell phones and gas.
They offer a butcher-shop meat market with package deals and very reasonable prices. But the hot-food section is what really sets them apart.
You may wait a few minutes for one of their sandwiches or hot meals but it is worth the wait. The hamburger/fries/drink for $4.00 is a real tasty meal and very satisfying (they cut and grind the meat from their own meat market!). It is one of the few handmade burgers in the city found anywhere but at a pricy sit-down restaurant.
The po'boys are the best-kept secret in Baton Rouge. They offer them hot and cold and of every variety. The oyster po'boy is simply the best and for a long sandwich at under $10.00 it is a meal for two people. The State Legislature has been known to send a runner to buy sandwiches for everyone when they are in session.
When you go there, mind your manners and be polite. They are nice people and a family-owned business. Everyone goes there so you never know who you might meet.

The food, all I can say is the food real good and cheap! Best $3,99 Cheeseburger, Fries and Drink in town! The biggest Poboy in town is awesome too! I recommend the shrimp or oyster.
