Budgie's Bakeshop - Bakery and Coffee Shop

I love coming here to grab coffee, cocoa, lattes, and baked goods with my kiddos when I can because they are always spot on with everything they make and such wonderful people. But let me tell you about a recent experience.

I ordered a cookie cake for my daughters birthday and oh my GOSH it was a work of art!! And the taste?? Amazing! Best chocolate chip cookie cake I've ever had! It was chocolatey, salty.. thick, soft and chewy the way a cookie cake should be! And the frosting decorating it was the bomb as well! I almost didn't want to eat it because it was so pretty, but I'm glad I did because I would have missed out on a damn good cookie. Plus my daughter would have stabbed me and taken it anyways.

I've had a few different baked goods from Budgie's, mostly vegan treats, and all of them were incredible.
- Custom vegan cupcakes (half chocolate-coffee and half chocolate-peanut butter)
- Vegan oatmeal sandwich (incredible)
- Chocolate chip cookie (perfect consistency)
- Chocolate chip cookie cake (best I've ever had)
- Probably something else I can't remember because I ate it so fast

If you need dairy-free or vegan treats or just have a sweet tooth, this bakery is an excellent option!

I’ve been so pleased with my treats from Budgie’s! She made the cutest custom cookie cake using a photo I sent her for decorations. I’ve also had her cookie decorating kits for the holidays, and they were a big hit. I’ve been very impressed with the quality and service, and will definitely be back!

Budgie’s was a lifesaver for me!! I posted on Facebook with what I needed and she reached out to me and got me exactly what I needed in such a short time frame! She really helped me out so much AND the cake was exactly what I was looking for! It was absolutely perfect and sooooo delicious. I also grabbed some cranberry orange muffins, their delicious homemade granola, and a latte on my way out - everything was perfect! Highly recommend!

While many treats here have been wonderful, the beet goat cheese tart really takes the proverbial cake! Bri is a thoughtful baker and turns out some delicious things! She will also create any latte of your dreams!

I love Budgie's! They have something delicious for everyone! Including amazing vegan + gluten free pastry options which is so rare to find. The coffee drinks are great too, and I recently tried one of the house made sodas - so refreshing! I would highly recommend stopping in for a treat! They are so welcoming and kind, and big smiles from their baby are a plus :)

The cheese danishes with local blueberries and strawberries made me tear up. Muffins, cookies, and cheddar biscuits too! On 151, only a few miles from the BR Pkwy, get you some goodies and head up to your favorite overlook! The owners are also so friendly, coffee is delicious and varied. Thrilled to have stumbled upon this place while visiting the area. Hoping that maybe I can mail order a frozen quiche for a special occasion or something....

Huge fan of the $25 unlimited drink card! Budgie’s has some of the best lattes in town and my kids enjoy their handcrafted lemonades! We have tried tons of pastries and sweets while never being disappointed and we definitely appreciate having a place to enjoy up 151!

We stopped here on our way through the area during a weekend trip. We tried a few of the pastries, and they were very delicious! They also had some good coffee and hot chocolate. The owners were really nice as well! I would recommend this place for breakfast or afternoon snack!

Randomly discovered this coffee place when we stayed at a cabin nearby. The owners were very friendly, and I was very impressed with their coffee! Not harsh or burnt, and had some fun local-themed lattes/drinks. Also recommend the chocolate pecan meringue.

Great new bakery. Quality food with a spin. This place has good food with wholesome ingredients. Great flavor! You can tell the owners really enjoy their product. The banana nut and the berry muffins... WOW!

This is such a cute little place, tuck into the mountains on Mt. Pisgah Hwy. They have a wide variety of pastries and drinks. They sell local art and use local coffee in all of their Coffee drinks. The owners are super sweet and always willing to have a chat with you! Now, go get yourself a treat and treat yourself! 💕

Stopped by for some baked goods and ended up trying the mixed berry crumb cake, brownies, and date bar. All were so delicious that I came back the next day for more!! Highly recommend trying out some of her delicious goodies 😋

Such a friendly and welcoming environment paired with some of the most delicious treats. I love the chocolate chip cookies and their fresh baked bread and pies are some of the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommended

Sweet , literally! Baked goods are delicious and the bakery and owners are very inviting and friendly!
I highly recommend stopping by otw to Mount Pisgah and the Blue Ride Parkway or to work! Grab your coffee and something sweet , You won’t be disappointed!

We visited Budgie's every day we could while in town for the month! We loved the coffee and treats that were available and couldn't recommend this place more! Aside from the great service and coffee, we also learned about Roller Derby in the area and got to see Bree (Tawanda) in action!

10/10 would recommend!

The baked goods and quiche are amazing! Chocolate macaroon, chocolate pecan meringue, cheddar chive scone, fresh espresso machine latte = 100% recommend. And the baker, Bree, is a delight to chat with. Go roller derby!

I have NEVER had such delicious gluten-free goodies. Holy cow, I swore our Christmas morning cinnamon rolls could NOT be that good and GF. Friendliest folks and you might even get to hang out with a cute baby if you stop by.

Had a delicious chocolate macaroon at Enka-Candler tailgate market and my fiancé had a chocolate chip cookie…highly recommend! Check out their goodies at the tailgate market on Thursdays

Never baking for the holidays again! We ordered all of our sweet treats and goodies for the holiday season through Budgies and I refuse to ever bake for myself again. Highly recommend :)
